Sigh.

Joker looks great, and I'm surprised that they're actually giving us an accessory with him - let alone one so big! That's a pleasant surprise.

Batman looks wonky as hell to me though. The head is definitely off, though a headswap with a Baleman toy should fix that problem instantly. The body looks a little odd too, though that could just be my general dislike of the costume.

I'd have preferred the other version of Injustice Batman, but I'll still buy the set. Those blue patches will definitely get repainted, though, 'cause I've never liked them.

Here's hoping these things aren't as fragile as past releases. (Yeah right!)

Grippen 01-21-2014 04:53 PM

Actually I agree with you minus on the body I think it's more or less accurate. But contrary to you I love this costume.

Baleman toy??? what is that?

It's just what I call the Dark Knight/Dark Knight Rises Christian Bale batman toys.

Grippen 01-21-2014 05:14 PM

LOL oh ok :) well I hope they fix the head and with some luck it's one of those cases where the promo shots suck but the figure is ok. Normally its the other way around but...

Besides they have lots of time to do it as long as they pay attention to the forums and the comments

Honestly, the way it looks in the pic isn't absolutely terrible. If the final product looks exactly like the promo shot then it'll still be worth owning, if only because it'll be one of the most poseable 3.75" Batman toys released so far.

I just really do hope that DCC stops using that brittle clear plastic for the joints. Would it really cost them that much more to use another type of plastic? These Injustice toys would be amazing if they weren't so fragile.

I was just about to post that, I'm surprised to see a DC 3.75 figure with so much articulation just as the other batman (arkham wave)...

This is the only reason I haven't gotten any of the DCC figures. It's not worth buying them if they're just going to break.

Yeah, I'd have the whole set already if there wasn't such a high risk of them breaking. They just aren't worth $20-30 if their arms and legs snap off out of the package.

I did finally order the WW/Grundy set though. They show up as $19.99 on Amazon but for some reason a $2 discount was applied during checkout, so that was nice. Their ebay prices seem to be rising a bit. Figured I better buy them while I can.

Harley/Cyborg will probably be next.

AndreWebs 01-21-2014 07:33 PM

Well, I was waiting for DCC to confirm the Batman and Joker two-pack to begin with the 3.75 DC Comics collection, so please, if any of you can give me a checklist of the Injustice figures Im really gonna appreciate that.

Symbiote 01-21-2014 11:52 PM

Bbts has the joker and batman pack on pre-order
I love that they gave joker a bazooka. His special move wakey wakey.

Shortpacking refers to the ratio of a given toy to the total number of figures within the same case, not the physical size of a toy or toy line. Toys that are considered shortpacked are the ones that come one- or two-per-case, while other figures in the same case may have 3 or more of each one.

For example, the Bane figure in the first case of TDKR figures was only one-per-case and therefore shortpacked compared to the others in the case.

Companies usually only do that for figures they think won't be as popular (therefore not making as many). Unfortunately, a lot of times shortpacking a figure actually makes it more popular, especially with collectors since that figure becomes rarer by default. Of course, the toy in question has to already be somewhat popular for it to matter (like some villains, for example).

Thank you very much for that lesson!

Wellp, got my WW/Grundy Injustice set today. Total disaster.

Right away I noticed one of Grundy's feet was twisted and distorted in the tray, and the peg was stretched out of place. Then a couple of the knives on his back snapped off before I could get the twistie ties off.

Wonder Woman looked good, and I got her out of the tray and all was well - for about three seconds. As soon as I tried to move her left arm, it snapped off at the shoulder.

Any ideas? I'd appreciate any help here, guys... because it doesn't look like Amazon will let me send back an opened item.

THE OTHER ARM JUST SNAPPED OFF.

This is ridiculous!!

Ninjinister 01-23-2014 06:10 PM

My Wondy and Catwoman both broke. BBTS ended up replacing my Selina but I had to buy myself a new Diana.

Saw Multiverse figs at my local comic shop but didn't feel like paying $15 a piece for them ('though that's still cheaper than they sell MU). I'll wait.

neatogecko 01-23-2014 10:36 PM

A little Armored Batman Appreciation. I'm really liking the concept of this guy.

As a first wave it isn't bad. Figures are missing some basic articulation though. Hopefully future releases they will fix these.

That happen to me also. The guy from which I bought the set from on ebay sent me a second one and the 2nd was fine from the waist up. Feet were glued even snapped one off. Result I ended up making one good from the 2.

I didn't move much the arms of the second one although the first one the arms were for sure broken already since it was so easy for them to drop out.

As for solutions well fins a Joe figure female preferably with a similar skin color. Take the disc joint on the elbows out. Do the same on the WW arms and replace with the joes figures ones. You may have to trim the joe disc joint a bit.

Not sure if you understood what I mean. I did that to my second one which I'm not using right now. If you want I can do that for you.
