1. oops, thought the CON was this weekend. Manchester Comic Con is this weekend, however, and we are attending it. Nice countdown clock, I bookmarked it!

2. Transgender Thor, maybe they will two pack her with NorthStar

3. I think it is fair to call Death his mistress, as it doesn't mean he has a wife, rather she is woman in a position of authority or control. Maybe Thanos licks her boots at the end of the day. One never knows what goes on behind those celestial doors.

4. I am betting GotG is gonna be a HUGE summer movie, at least here in England. There is a lot of buzz about it. My non Marvel friends were talking about it, I hear kids at the playground talking about it. They are on several magazine covers. A lot of adverts for them on tele as well. Perhaps, NOT being known is helping them cash in, as it seems people want to know now!

5. I finally got the mailer tubes to send out the VISION drawing!!! Kernel, it will be posted THIS WEEK, so as the pieces to Nymesys Prime will be on there way to the SUPER man cave!!! Sorry it took so long guys.... I even made little drawing on the tube, so you WILL know for sure what is in it. I HOPE HOPE HOPE they arrive undamaged, but they should be fine, I fortified them well.

6. I really like your DEATH Redfox!!! Got another shot of her...perhaps in the sun or bright light?

I guess he loses the right to Mjolnir as result of his actions in the past when he enchanted Jarnbjorn out of pride and has now caused the death of a Celestial and previously the Earth. I don't think this will last very long though, just like Steve Rogers no longer being the cap'n won't last. Things change, but seem to always return to formula, and now with the movies acting as a major interest boom the comics like to ride on those interests. Good examples: The Avengers teases Thanos and then Thanos is suddenly brought back from the dead, the Amazing Spider-Man uses The Lizard and then in the comics Lizard becomes the main villain for a stretch (same for ASM2 with Electro), and I'm sure that when the movie is close to releasing Apocalypse will become a world-shattering villain again for the comics. So while this new character (or not so new apparently) may stick around after Thor reclaims his right to use Mjolnir, they'll probably be like Beta-Ray Bill where they get their own version of Mjolnir, but not the original. Hopefully it's some good reading and maybe, just maybe, we might see a figure out of it. Though I would feel hurt that we see a brand new character in figure before one of many more deserving older characters.

There's a big apocalypse event coming up in the pages of X-Men within the next two years. Marvel's been hinting at it for awhile, so it'll be right before the new X-Men film hits.

It would be like making 'Venus' or 'Aphrodite' a man. Odd choice.

As far as I'm concerned Valkyrie was a female-ish Thor, and she was from the legit mythos (more or less).

From the comics, this isn't the first time. A What If issue in particular has gone in depth with it before(using Rogue), and it's always been the enchantment on the hammer as opposed to the person themselves. So she's not Thor Odinson. She's just the wielder of Mjolnir with the full power of Thor Odinson because of that.

Like Eric Masterson before, among others.
In the long term, she'll probably eventually get her own hammer and be inducted into the Thor Corps. Not sure. A lot of changes might stay if they start being reflected in the films. Like that Falcon Cap. If the movies go that direction, that may not change back anytime soon.

Depends on what Marvel is doing. Are they finally going to let their characters start growing, or are they going to keep them on this permanent rinse recycle repeat so nothing ever actually changes.

Wait guys, I'm confused. I thought they ended Earth X a long time ago? And when did Angela come to Marvel, what about her legality/copyright issues?

1.Mantis
2.Moon Dragon
3.Photon (Captain Marvel)
4.Tigra
5.Hellcat
6.Joscata
7.Quasar
8.Swordsman
Villians
1.Graviton
2.Count Nefaria
3.Viper
4.Madame Masque
5.Ronan
6.Annalahus
7.Kree (army builder)
Out of these, Ronan(due to movie), Photon (ethnic character), Kree (i'm so surprised they havent done this one),Viper and Graviton would be top picks

The Monica rambeau photon/captain marvel to me is a want because she's the last thing I need for my secret wars 1 squad. I thought a Kree would be a no brainer too but maybe skrull sales weren't there? You could get a lot of mileage off that Kreme helmet too...

Marvel doesn't usually "end" alternate realities, they simply step away from them, so technically any reality can be used again whenever (except for cancerverse or any others that have been quantumly destroyed).
Angela came out of seemingly no where at the end of Age of Ultron because "time was broken", which doesn't make sense for a number of reasons. Legally, Neil Gaiman sued Todd McFarlane claiming full character rights, TF agreed to his terms acknowledging that the character was dead and hadn't been used for literally a hundred issues. Since Neil works at Marvel now he wanted to toss new Angela in.

I think that figure is on clearance at Target right now. I wonder if that head can be used for anything.

He was part of the first amazing spider man movie right?

NoodleChow 07-16-2014 10:14 AM

It's this one.
Marvel Ultimate Spider-Man Super Strength Green Goblin Figure

Should be in stores atm. My Target got that wave in sorta recently and all of em were on sale for $4-5ish. Was tempted by a couple of the other Spideys for their accessories like the clip on webshooter.

The glider attack Green Goblin was from the first ASM toy line under the comic series figures. That one has no pumpkin bombs, which then others on this forum have recommended the super strength Green Goblin from the Ultimate Spider-Man 5POA line just for the pumpkin bombs.

Eww. I don't know who designed this version of the goblin, but no, just no. Yet for some reason reason it isn't as bad as the leprechaun from the ASM2, though that's not saying much. The only reason to get this toy is for the cool pumpkin bomb accessories, or if you want an orc monster for Mysterio to use.

NoodleChow 07-16-2014 10:55 AM

I literally just tossed the GG to the parts bin when I got it. In hand though it's not bad, just kinda useless for me. Wish I had nieces or nephews who'd want this kind of figure as cannon fodder.

ultraman zoffy 07-16-2014 11:12 AM

Free Tip: when your system at work is taking forever to load stuff... make paper clip action figure stands. Good times:

Looks good, I will buy him just to get more and more Spideys, here's hope that the MI Line could be at some point Spider-Man Related

I look at that Green Goblin figure and I think he could be some sort of the Jackal for my Spider-Man Collection, looks good to me

trebleshot 07-16-2014 01:26 PM

I think I'd almost prefer Thor being turned into a woman as another lesson in humility. He tends to need one every so often.

As far as Hasbro making a female "Thor" figure, I think it will probably happen right after they make a female Loki figure.

Loki has never been a blood relation of Thor's in Norse myth or in Marvel Comics (and only Marvel has him being adopted by Odin). Not that Thor's bloodline has anything to do with Mjolnir's enchantment (as others already mentioned).

On a side note, in Norse myth Laufey was Loki's birth mother, not his father.

Oops....

En Sabah Nerd 07-16-2014 02:54 PM

Entertainment weekly teases Ultron on the cover of an upcoming issue, looks pretty nice. We could see some army builder figures out of this, yup.

samsson37 07-16-2014 02:55 PM

Guys relax...THOR isn't turned into a girl. He's alive and well, he loses his arm and gets a steel one. He uses the axe. It's the "power " of Thor that's been transfered. Which is funny because Thors strength doesn't come directly from his hammer. He is the strongest asgardian there is minus the all Father Odin. This is more a beta ray bill type thing, were someone is getting augmented with thors ability. Mulgnir only enhances Thor inables him to fly , open portals and help direct his power. If I can recall he can control lightning without his mighty hammer

I've already covered this, also it kind of depends on when and who is handling Thor as to what he can't do without Mjolnir. Typically without Mjolnir Thor has super strength, super endurance, longevity, and some fighting prowess. Thor usually does require Mjolnir to control the weather, fly, and open portals, it's somewhat uncommon for him to use lightning without Mjolnir, though he almost always has it so it's hard to say. Looking though at when he fought Beta-Ray Bill for Mjolnir he didn't have lightning power, and when he fought Apocalypse in the far past without Mjolnir he didn't use lightning, lost both fights and had ample opportunity to use lightning if he could. Definitely less godly without Mjolnir.
Side note: I think an Apocalypse Twins two pack with Jarnbjorn would've been a neat exclusive (or just a mass retail two pack).

I think if it was simply that Thor was turned into a woman there would be less people questioning the motion, still weird as it would be. Also I recall that, and this may have been misinterpretation, Loki is Hel's (Hela in the comics) father and her mother was a wolf. Possibly a misinterpretation, but then again it doesn't sound too crazy for Norse mythology.
