Firefly was a Koga ninja master in many of the comics, and was known as "the Faceless Master," due to his ability to avoid being recognized or photographed clearly. He and Zartan worked together to kill Snake Eyes, and in addition, framed Storm Shadow in the murder of the Hard Master.

He was a serial pryomaniac in Renegades, and he worked with the Joes in Sigma 6 before eventually turning traitor.

The File Card on the G.I.Joe Classified site for Firefly describes him as "the loudest silent ninja in the world." It's where I partially stole my caption from...lol.
