Do we know the ETA for the Clayface BAF wave that was shown at ToyFair 2017? Really interested in that Batwoman and Green Lantern.

People looking for King Shark still should check Walmarts. They got a shipper about two wweks ago with WWE Zombies, TNF basics, Justice League or SF 12" and King Shark wave. It would be in the action figure aisle or in the shipper in front of the aisles. I used to never see Zoom or Jay and see all of them frequently now

the 3 walmarts (all within 10 minutes) near me still only have Hawkman and Joker. The two Jokers i saw today both had the C&C piece removed.

I am giving up on dc multiverse. No stores have anything except that gotdamned doomsday wave or sprinklings that super friends wave or the wonder woman movie training version. Otherwise nothing. :( really wanted king shark too. Guess the head and lower torso will ve all i get since no stores seem to want to put anything else up and seem to have no want to clearance the damn doomsday wave after two years

ha, wishful thinking...

kenm2474 09-04-2017 06:24 PM

That's where I got mine for $9 and some change.

Phantomcrow 09-05-2017 09:03 AM

My "Rookie" wave of multiverse should be here in the next couple days. I just ordered a set from BBTS. It shipped a couple days ago. Knew with the Justice league figures out it would never see stores. Will post pics when I get them.

Augustus_Cole 09-05-2017 09:08 AM

crow check your PM please.

Tomax 09-09-2017 01:58 PM

since im locked up at home due to the hurricane. i started to do some research on the Lantern Corps! i didnt know much about them but im a big fan now. they have a awesome backstory, they are in a nutshell, like a GOTG but bigger and more powerful. i really like the red, yellow, indigo and the white lanterns. Not really into green lantern lol. will be getting the figures also in the future :)

Not exactly. Differences depend on whether you're referring to the comic GotG or the movie version but in either case they're not the right comparison for the Lantern Corps. In the comics the main GotG were a single team of cosmic heroes that protect the universe from cosmic anomalies which threaten the fabric of reality rather than any people in particular, their ultimate goal is to prevent reality from tearing open into other realities as opposed to upholding any laws (alternatively the true original GotG team is from the far future of the 3000s and were a group of resistance fighters against the alien invaders that had conquered Earth). In the movie then the GotG are basically just a small collection of basically mercenaries with mostly good intentions that fight cosmic bad guys as they happen upon them. The Green Lantern Corps on the other hand is a peace keeping organization with an army of members that fight against evil-doers and criminals who act out of the law or threaten good things (like their code that they all love to repeat says). The Lantern Corps' Marvel equivalent would be the Nova Corps, the Novas even borrow the corps part of the name. Both factions act as a universe spanning police force that grant their officers super powers and both corps' main officers hail from Earth and received their positions from a dying alien member of the corps that passed the mantle onto them (Hal Jordan and Richard Rider respectively).

The Green Lanterns (and the other lanterns too) are a pretty awesome part of DC's pantheon of heroes I think just because of how many of them there are. There's a whole slew of GL members that have their own fan followings and collections of stories that have absolutely nothing to do with the Justice League, Superman, or Batman in any way. It's a nice change of pace to remind the reader that not everything going on in the world of DC revolves around a guy dressed as a bat, there's an entire universe out there that he doesn't even really know about (because of his lack of actual powers) and then these lantern people are out there just doing their own thing in it.

Augustus_Cole 09-13-2017 01:43 PM

was nice to see them all lined up like this.
I had cancelled my pre-order from BBTS as I felt i didn't really want the wave.

i will say..The quality seems to be getting better with these Mattel figs. They actually ALL were decent figs.
2. I only want Batwing, but this LCS's pricing kept me from making a purchase with them. $27 each.
IF i was a constant multiverse collector, i'd have been very content with this wave.

i ordered Batwing off of Amazon for like 18.00

yeah, they are like cosmic guardians. the green lanterns are boring, i prefer the other lanterns like: red, yellow, white and indigo

Very cool, my main want from this wave is the Reaper who I have ordered, the rest are alright but I dont know if I will get them all (it will depend on if I decide to get the Robo-Bat suit BAF to go with my Jim Gordon Batman figure from the King Shark wave)

Phantomcrow 09-14-2017 02:00 PM

Got my set from BBTS. Overall I think the wave is pretty solid even if it is ALL Bat Family and Atom. The sculpting is done well and the accessories I did not know about like Palmer head, mini Atom, Duke alternate head and weapons. The biggest let down is Batman himself, no extra hands, no weapons, no batarang, nothing!!. At least Batman and Batwing have good paint jobs on the chest logos. Reaper is a little cumbersome cause the cloak but that is expected. I assumed he would have weapons the the could hold but his blades are complete hand swaps. The Rookie is about 8.5 inches tall (9.5 if you count the ears).

It is a nice touch that you can take the head and chest off of the rookie and put the Jim Gordon head on there.

Augustus_Cole 09-14-2017 02:04 PM

nice...that's a good lookin wave..

that Rookie looks like it would be AWESOME with a custom paint job.

Tim 09-14-2017 04:27 PM

Awesome Pics Crow. The only two I want from this wave are Batwing and Reaper. The rest I can do without I might get duke if he is ever on sale

JAG2045 09-16-2017 05:09 PM

Has anyone else noticed any problems with the hip joints on the old DCUC female figures? I have found some (like Donna Troy/Wonder Girl) can't really stand anymore due to the joints and the heels on the figures?

Harbinger 09-16-2017 05:43 PM

Christ where are these being seen? Im atill waiting to see restocks of King shark....... Guess i may as well get rid of the head n lower torso cause i doubt im ever gonna be able to finish the sob, man mattell has some shitty distribution here.

I'm not too familiar with the line. Which figures have the shark pieces? The TRU by me just put a bunch of those crappy Mattel figures in with the good stuff, in what used to be the Collector's Corner. I can check if they have any you need.

King Shark Wave was

Dark Knight Returns Joker
Jim Gordon Batman
Batgirl of Burnside
Flash TV show Earth 2 Flash
Flash TV show Zoom
Legends of Tomorrow Hawkman

Theres also a TRU exclusive Damian Wayne who comes with an alternative BAF head for King Shark

SpasticPlastic 09-17-2017 07:46 AM

Ok. I'm pretty sure they have some of those. I know there's about 20 of that horrible Damian one.
