Vincent D'Onorfio (sp?) was amazing as Kingpin. Not the biggest guy but I think they settled for talent over size. YOu should really just watch it for him.

A lot of characters appeared or were referenced in some way, including Karen Page, Night Nurse, Elektra, Ben Urich, The Owl, Kingpin's right hand man Wesley, Gladiator, Stick, Stone, the Hand, and a blink and you'll miss it tie-in to what appears to be Spider-man (who can sorta be spotted in a picture accompanying a newspaper clipping on Ben Urich's wall.)

The Kingpin also is seriously the best villain in the MCU right now. Fact. Not only is he seriously evil, but he is also one you can both sympathize and empathize with. It's a huge credit to the show's writers.

the writing...his acting....is what really makes that show...I loved it...and because of us being able to "sympathize and empathize" I don't know if I could quite call him...evil....

But yeah, the highlights for me would be a Kingpin, 1st Costume Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and the Purple Man.

Not sure I follow you about the shoehorned comment. Unless I am mistaken, her first appearance was in the Alias Marvel Max series from Bendis. Granted he stuck her inside the Spider-Man continuity which was well, Bendis-like. I mean seriously, how many pre-hero characters were present at the spider bite now? At least 2 I can name offhand besides Spidey himself.

I can appreciate where Nash is coming from, I'm not a fan either. For a long time, she was largely written as "some super-chick that Luke Cage knocked up." Almost an "afterthought" that Luke even referred to in ways that made her seem like a "nagging ball & chain" trope. At least, that's how it struck me when reading The Avengers.

I'm a little surprised that Marvel/Netfix didn't go with a more established or powerfully written female lead for a series. I guess it makes sense from the perspective that a character with less backstory allows producers and writers to proceed unfettered. An amorphous entity that allows them to "create" whatever they need. Did Jessica even have a known superhero name early on? I'm still not even clear on what her powers are or their limitations.

I'm not complaining, nor am I implying that the show won't be decent/good. I just don't feel like I know who she is or what she's about years following her introduction and having the benefit of reading a few things involving her.

I don't know man...the things Wilson Fisk can do with a car door...I'd say that's pretty evil. Lol.

I think that the subscription is a pretty good deal, I was talking more of ebay prices which are insane (of course just for the figure), I'm still contemplating getting the subscription. I wanted to catch up to the old 90's Ghost Rider, Silver Sable, Silver Surfer, etc comics I used to read. I have found some of them on ebay, but seems like this way would be much easier to find.

Yay going to get a re-booted Luke cage :D and maybe Electra from series 2 daredevil excited to see what they tell us

Regarding daredevil waves, it would be great to get a Typhoid Mary in with this as well, even though it appears she hasn't made an appearance in the series yet. Maybe throw it out as an offering to comic book fans.

It really surprised me how cool that Vision is in hand. He looks great with Scarlet Witch (I have him propped on Hulk's shoulder behind her so it sorta looks like he's flying/phasing through Hulk. Black lights also love him! My only gripe is some of the joints are a bit loose.
