I got a replacement short sword today and it seems like this one has the same issue of not completely wanting to go into the sheath without forcing it.

This is the first I have heard of this.

Also, in other news Darkseid will be processing tomorrow, and will most likely be in hands end of next week, or a little after...

Hoodie Spidey finally shipping.

Hmmm... do I want to order Darkseid or no?

I per-ordered... then cancelled... but then got IM in and he's so frickin' awesome I'm thinking about ordering again...
My biggest "hold" on it the StormCollectibles Injustice darkseid that will be about $80 cheaper...

Hopefully the regular Homecoming Spiderman isn't too far behind.

Think I'm gona wait on the reviews for him.Last few releases I've gotten have been pretty killer, but there were some disappointing figures in 2018 as well and this is a very different level of quality and construction. For $180 I need to know I'm gonna love it.

Completely agree with this here. 180$ is a lot to spend on a figure that might be had for 140$ after it comes out, I have seen people already selling their Hulks for 100$. But This does have some nice bells and whistles. I will wait for a review.

Thor Laserpunch 01-09-2019 04:46 PM

Plus I'd hafta go back and get the classic Supes to go with him, so it would be more like $300 or so.

Speaking of Supes, can anyone do pics of his bullet effects attached to Iron Man?

shortysben 01-10-2019 09:56 AM

Oh man, I had time to unbox my Rags Thor, he is excellent! And Homecoming Home Made Suit should be here today! 10 days into 2019 and I already have 3 Mezzys!

The Spider-Man is really nice too. Is it a new thing for them to have the neck jointed to the head and the head to still be moveable on the neck piece? I don't recall any other figures with the jointed head and neck being articulated at all.

Correct, this is the first time, it is pretty cool, and I like the fact that he came with 3x of them.

Thor Laserpunch 01-10-2019 01:47 PM

When you get Spidey, tell me if you think his hood is too small. It's a little thing maybe, but looking at it pisses me off!

Nah that's on many figures. Just looking at the ones I have--Dredd, Aquaman, BvS Supes, Daredevil, Cap, Deadpool, Red Skull, the comic Spideys, Deathstroke, Iron Man, & Green Arrow. Ones I have that aren't constructed like that are the JL and AK Batmans, Jokers, Spocks, Wonder Woman, Harley, Catwoman & Punisher. So the female body doesn't have that ball joint at the base of the neck at all, the two Bats I have both have a thick neck with the cape attached under the neckpiece of the cowl--so that makes sense--and the Jokers are on the skinnier frame male Star Trek body. Not sure why they didn't use it for Punisher.

Thor, it is slightly small, doesnt look too bad on the masked head, and it isnt THAT bad on the unmasked head, but it is a tad small, and it looks better over the masked head IMO.

Yeah, kinda wish it was just a bit bigger. Was hoping maybe they shrunk mine in the wash so I could return it. There's some elasticity to it though, maybe I'll form it out with a wire so it looks a little wider.

The hood doesn't really fit his head all that well, I agree.

Man, just saw a review for Darkseid on Toynewsi, he looks really disappointing :P

RolandofGilead 01-14-2019 05:42 PM

Just received Homemade suite Spidey today.

I took a look at a couple of reviews and I thought Darkseid looked pretty cool! I know @ $180 it isn't for everyone but I pre-ordered it when I first saw it. So far I'm not disappointed.

I pre-ordered, then canceled... then thought about ordering again after i got ironMan and was reminded how great Mezco can be- but then I saw the pics showing up on line, and while the people posting say they are happy with him- it just doesn't look worth the price of admission... I'll hold out for the Injustice Darkseid from StormCollectibles I think

I'm glad you aren't disappointed! For me though the lack of a paint wash on his face and the fact that his head is practically floating off his body makes it an easy pass

Thor Laserpunch 01-15-2019 05:20 PM

Gonna pass on Darkseid. Paint apps aren’t up to snuff. Why bother using polystone when it just looks like plastic with no wash? Seems like elbow articulation suffers also, but the main issue for me is the toyetic appearance when simple paint ops would have given it a realistic appearance.

I think a lot of people are in this same boat (myself included), and I think based on the number of these made the aftermarket price on them will bottom out, just seem to be worth the initial ask of 180$

RolandofGilead 01-16-2019 10:12 AM

Tactical Suite Batman dropped into my PoL. I'm starting to wonder if there are figures I should keep and some I should let go.

I think you're going to be right about that. Price might even go down somewhat.

That Bats is pretty rad though.
