Finally got an order through on Target for Baroness. Release date is July 30.

Baroness is also available on Hasbro Pulse for Premium Members, I placed an order there too. With Target's history of canceling pre-orders, I'm doubling down!

Just ordered a Viper.

I was unable to add Baroness and Viper to cart on the website, but I was able to add them in the app and check out on the website. So of course it wouldn't be easy. Trying to decide if I want to order the Cobra Trooper, since it's now the only one I don't have (but I do have the standard release version).

Well, Baroness and Viper ordered from Target. We will see how that pans out.

Just get 'em now while he's available. You can always change your mind later.

1x on the Viper is a pain- had to build another Target account and ship it to my boy to get 2 troops. baroness popping up on Pulse was nice though

Well shit! That was easy.

While looking at my order history on the Target website apparently my order for Barbecue and Breaker has been cancelled. I guess cause nothing with the Cobra Island figures works like it should.

Target must have done something right because the price of Baroness on ebay has dropped a lot it seems like.

Also I picked up wave 1 Duke from a local shop that still had him cheap. I wonder if I should get Gung Ho now or hold out for a repaint since I think I read the rumor somewhere that he is the repack in the next wave.

It's Friday morning and the website still shows Baroness as available for preorder, so maybe they are dealing with the problem. I ended up ordering the CI Cobra Trooper last night mainly because it would of been the only Classified figure I didn't have and it would of left a gap in the numbered boxes. Cause OCD.

That price drop is nearly across the board with CI, and I'm not the tiniest bit sad about it.

Here's to hoping HA Roadblock gets a restock.

Also, you know Hasbro and GI Joe- all of these are going to get repaint after repaint, and all of the core characters will show up many, many times. I'm personally passing on Gung-Ho and CC both until we get some solid redesigns.

The Super 7 stuff is weird. Like why would they give two different heads for Cobra Commander, but have them both be the face plate version instead of one plate one hooded? That doesn't make much sense. And I know they are based on the original cartoon designs, but does anyone else think they look too plain in the detail department?

Screenrant published an article today revealing a new Classfied Zartan, with a more classic design. More faces to swap, plus he changes color like the original figure.

I completely agree. I guess they're cool for those that had to have the Sunbow look, but yeah, no thanks.

The BAT is pretty cool, but I don't think that the smooth cartoon look would mesh well with the somewhat overly-busy look Classified has going on.

These Ultimate figures are based on the Sunbow cartoon with some extra accessories from the original toy line. The designs from both the cartoon and original toy line are rather plain when compared to the 25th Anniversary line. Personally, I think it's best that Super7 leaned into those designs rather than adding details. Hasbro made the GI Joe: Renegades figures detailed and realistic. While the figures were good, they were noticeably off from the animation source.

It's possible that Cobra Commander will still come with his hooded head. When Super7 figures go up for preorder, they don't always have the complete list of accessories. Some of the TMNT Ultimates came with more accessories than they were originally listed with.

Given the sensitivities of today's politiosocial climate and modern society's tendencies to overreact, I highly doubt we will ever see a properly "hooded" Cobra Commander figure ever again. The imagery it invokes is too big of a risk these days for a company to risk drawing offense.

A perfect example of this lies in what Disney did recently as they jumped the shark in scrubbing the name of Boba Fett's "starship".

I mean they did give us a toy of a Nazi recently (Red Skull) and all they had to do to get it safe for shelves was replace the swastika with a Hydra symbol. Considering the hood for CC isn't pointy and then the bright blue color with the big red snake symbol, it's different enough from the real-life inspiration that it might still be seen again on a toy. And if some people still think it's too similar to the KKK hood, well yeah he's the bad guy in charge of those soldiers that look like sci-fi Nazis. I just figured we hadn't seen it yet in Classified because most people prefer the mirror face with the helmet.

I agree with your general point, but the notion that hoods are going out of style because kneejerk liberals can’t tell the difference between a pointy white hood and any other kind of hood is a pretty low estimation of the intelligence of the population at large.

Otoh, 70% of all people are ostensibly simpletons with the awareness of a gnat, so you sadly could be correct.

I much prefer HUMAN TRAFFICKING 1 anyway—lets you know what the owner of said vehicle is all about.

My guess is that the hooded version will be a separate release. Just like I'm sure we will see different versions of SE.
