Well to be fair it is pretty good if you're in need of a good laugh.
I have to disagree about Cloontang though. Dude didn't even try to change his voice when he was Batman. Keaton and Kilmer at least lowered theirs a bit. |

If you take batman and Robin as a (let's make a Movie from an old TV show premise) modern update to the '66 Batman series (which I love) then it's pretty fun. Viewed as part of a series with batman and Batman Returns though, it sort of misses the mark. i kind of wish we didn't have Michael Gough returning as Alfred in this and Forever- or else it would be easier to take this as a separate series, as far removed from the Keaton Bat-verse as Bale or Affleck.

A friend of mine has a 6 year old boy and Batman & Robin is his favorite Batman movie. His favorite villain is Mr. Freeze. A while back we went to their house for dinner and they popped in Batman & Robin to keep the kid entertained while the adults were in the kitchen eating and drinking. We all wound up sitting in the living room watching along with the kid and we had a good time making fun of the movie. We still do Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions and quote all the cheesey ice puns every time we get together. I imagine that's how it was for folks back when the Adam West show was on in the 60's. Kids take it seriously and adults can laugh at how silly it is.
In that regard, Batman & Robin is better than even "The Room". It's good to watch and make fun of when you're drinking with friends. However, everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you genuinely like Batman & Robin then that's your prerogative. Enjoy it. |

The Flash might be interesting depending on what accessories they give him, but why bother with a Val Kimer Batman? Why not start with Keaton first? Of course, it looks terrible either way. What is up with his cape?

Found these at Target but have never seen the King Shark wave....
Wonder Woman is frighteningly hideous. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4677/...ba3f669d_h.jpgIMG_1656 |

Have they improved the hip joints on the the Cassie Wonder Girl compared to the DCUC Wave 13 Donna Troy Wonder Girl? My Donna figure's hip joints are really poor and coupled with the heels on her boots mean she cant stand up properly!

DC figures are my favorite and as a girl's mother, the wonder women minifigures are one of my favorite.

I am in the proud minority, who loves Bats vs Supes over Civil War. Give me Trolls 2 or Batman and Robin any day, and I will watch. I think the Room is fantastic...."You're tearing me apart, Lisa." As you get smarter, you see things differently. That is why people vote differently in their 20's than their 30's.. Some people don't, such as the hippies in the 60's and 70's or at least those I have encountered in my travels. Lots became college professors and they are the worst. The best way to enjoy movies is with a group of macho buddies, where you can just have a good time cracking jokes about how awful....or rather hilariously bad something is. I actually enjoy watching Rifftrax(Google it) with my bad movies when I am by myself. Val Kilmer was fine and so was Clooney and the movies are very much watchable. They are no boring, just a bit ridiculous, but real comic book fans can easily enjoy it. I will enjoy their action figure(s) and look forward to them. I love the Adventures of Superboy, and the Shipp Flash from the 90's. I saw each recently and those held up very well and I will fully support them as much as I can in Toy form if they ever become a reality...well I know Shipp's Flash will and I am pulling for Superboy. |

I picked up a loose DCSH/DCUC Mongul off of eBay. After getting the Icons JL set I decided I wanted to add a villain for them to face off against. I've always liked Mongul even though he isn't the most popular or powerful villain in the current DC realm. Usually I say I like Mongul and other people fire back with "oh man but Darkseid's more powerful and shit," and then I just have to be like "yeah, but I like Mongul more." The sculpting and paint are impressive for a toy from around a decade ago and they hold up well, hell they're better than what I can go find from Mattel in a store now. There's some minor paint blurring and some small applications are off but nothing I can really complain about. For the price I got him for I'm very happy to have picked him up. |
The new Shipp Flash and Kilmer Batman are popping up at Canadian Walmarts, toynewsi has some good in-package shots!
