That's a good comic. Looking forward to the sequel.

Rumors (leaks?) on Spin master figures this year. Thought you guys may find this interesting. 4" starts at 1:45

Cool. I've been hoping for a Metamorpho from Spin Master
|
I was able to preorder the Metal Force Team Up set on Amazon (Superman, Brainiac, plus Batman and Lex in their battle suits). $40, early July release.

The end of the line?
Have you guys seen the news about Mattel? Does this mean Spinmaster have lost the license or is it a split deal?

And Mattel doing mass lines and kid focus. Spinmaster is 100% out besides maybe stuff like RCs I don't blame DC at all, feel like the last year or so of this stuff has been a disaster from Spinmaster just throwing everything at a wall to get anything to stick Hopefully Mattel goes the Jurassic route with their mainline this time |
Guess I'm done then. Mattel pissed me off with the Multiverse line and I'm not going back.
Hope the Superman Legacy figures are good if they're the last from Spin Master. |

I’m not exactly doing backflips over Mattel, but I am happy to see the last of Spin Master. There have been a few bright spots, but it’s mostly been poor character choice, terribly uneven scaling, kiddie sculpts, and… laughable distribution. Sometimes different is better. Hoping for good things as a long suffering 3.75” DC Comics toy enthusiast. |
I loved the line before they dropped it, canceled figures they already showed off, and made the it yet another 6 inch line.
|
I'm unsure what to think. The previous Mattel 3.75 multiverse figures, in my opinion are better than Spin Masters figures. But Spin Master has done vehicles and current movie figures-when the movies come out. Mattel did do Arkham game figures and some of the older movie figures like Keaton Batman, Devito Penguin, Reeves superman etc. .....so its kind of a toss up. For me articulation and scale are the most important and I think Mattel was better in that regard.

Do we know if Mattel is doing 1:18? Is there a confirmed Gunn Superman Spinmaster 1:18 line as a last line?

I don't even know anymore

Maybe a tie-in to the Batman Ninja movies? Or possibly a throwback to the days of Legends of the Dark Knight where there were Batmen through the ages?
Not really my cup of tea but they look alright I guess. Was there anything else? |
Yes there is a Batman Ninja cartoon movie coming out soon

When the monkeys and bats combined to form a mech I completely checked out. Everything else was pretty boring.

I’m a hypocrite though, because I’d be all kinds of excited if it was a ninja Superman line. Lol |

I was really hoping that Superman movie lines would be revealed this weekend :-/ |
Spin Master has been confirmed to be losing the license in 2026, but everything they have shown and everything they have lined up will still be coming out, they have confirmed to other sites, apparently.
|
Yeah that sucks. Hope there's some decent Superman Legacy stuff at least.
|
Honestly, I'm hopeful for new 4" from Mattel. Their Jurassic Park stuff is great, and shows they can do it. While I certainly have some misgivings about Spin Master, they at least gave me a bunch of 4" figures.

Just got the DC Metal Force Team Up with Brainiac, Lex Luthor, Batman, and Superman.
My son opened the door to go outside and an Amazon delivery guy was right there. https://www.toyark.com/forums/member...am-up-4940.jpg https://www.toyark.com/forums/member...boxed-4941.jpg A few notes: Articulation on Batman and Lex's legs is sadly limited, similar to several villians such as King Shark, Killer Croc, Man Bat, etc. I was surprised at Lex's lack of knee joints, since the paint job actually made it look like green plastic attached to purple plastic, even in hand. Helmets glass is permanent for Lex and Brainiac. No wrist articulation on anyone, as usual. Only the front half of torsos are metallic. The tentacles on Brainiac are semi-flexible, semi-soft plastic, as are the hoses on the back of Lex's armor suit. Brainiac's head doesn't turn and his hard plastic shoulder pads limit range of movement for his shoulders. One funny feature is Batman's cape, which sits outside his armor. I'm wondering what the functionality of a cape could be when he is in robotic armor... Also, Lex is sporting a rather daring purple bikini bottom, which was a bold design choice. Accessories are kid friendly, so somewhat oversized. Not sure what Brainiac has, but it is smaller than the rest, so it's not outlandish. Lex's kryptonite blade weapon isn't too large that it's unusable. The rocket launchers sit directly over Lex and Batman's heads, making them a little odd. Superman's bladed weapon is the most oversized accessory. The collector cards are thick and heavy, so they may have some metal in them. Also, the collector card bases interlock. I bought the set primarily for Brainiac, but as far as 3.75 DC offerings go, it's not a bad set, and Superman and Lex are way less cartoony than previous Spin Master release(s). |
