Thor is a much better figure than Aquaman...IMO

Funny story. Mezco had a contest for one 12 day (1/12/2019). I was looking at the winners and what they won. The grand prize winner received a dozen One 12 figures! Here's the funny part: most of the figures are unavailable on their website as sold out! Hmmmm...wonder where they were hiding those?

Yeah, not unreasonable for a company to hold back some old new stock to toss out as prizes, looks like Superman, and MDX Joker were part of the giveaway. I thought it was interesting that a Spam account was picked as a winner, smart thinking, because that just shows it really was a random winner situation.

Wow! Didn't know that a spam account could do that. Hats off to all the other lucky winners!

Just got an alert that Darkseid dropped into my pile of loot, but I don't think I'll keep him. At $180 I could get two regular One:12 figures with change to spare.

Pretty awesome list. I dunno about Phoenix though. Her look is kinda bland for this format, but they could always do her up with some cool accessories or features. Otoh, I'm kinda on the fence on Cyclops because of the style they previewed him in, so I don't know if I'd be down with that. Sometimes when they do "Mezco's style" it's either overdone or not classic enough or too much of a blend of classic and modern without being enough of either if you get my drift. Dr. Doom would be an immediate buy. FFS we don't have a good modern figure of him at all. Total travesty.

I am down with these too. Hawkeye the old masked comic version I would say is big on my list also. If they could chuck in an Avengers skycyle--the oldern days kind with the goofy windscreen--I'd be in in a heartbeat. Gambit I would almost be down for. The upcoming ML would almost be passable but the hair is too big for my liking, it looks dumb. I may go with the Amazing Yamaguchi on that one because it looks pretty damn good. I would defo be down to see what Mez could do with him though.

My probably never to be fulfilled wishlist:

-Lobo -- but they gotta do him up with some proper artic. Not just Mezco (as in the recent Darkseid and gladiator Hulk), but a lot of companies when they do the XL size characters they just do not have any kind of decent range of motion in the knees and elbows. I can't abide. Kills it for me.

I had an issue with my Wonder Woman and the place I ordered from told me Mez keeps some figs on hand just for parts. What they do is they send out only the parts you complain about. E.g., I sent my WW in hand-less thinking that the left shield/holding hand would then actually stay on the new body they sent me without any extra effort. (I was wrong and do not buy this particular fig FYI as it is absolutely not up to par.)

A man after my own heart. I have a handful of similar scale toys I've spent gobs of money on, but on general principle I don't think I can pull the trigger... particularly since it seems to have some issues such as paint and articulation which I know are really not going to go over well with me.

Just curious, has Mezco ever given an update to the release dates for their Blade or Jason Voorhees figures? They were originally supposed to drop back in October, but it was changed to December, and now it just seems to be changing every month to the current one...meaning BBTS seems to have no idea either.

Has anyone heard anything?

No updates from what I have seen on either, nor the Ghostbusters. They sometimes respond to questions like this on their Twitter or Instagram accounts.
Also, they will likely have a display of the figures with new release window estimates at Toy Fair. They have done this for every previous year with the One:12 line.

Welcome to the world of collecting Mezco one 12's! Their release dates are always messed up. They do not come out in order of their announcement. They do not come out on time. Eventually they will come out and, usually it's worth the wait IMO. I love the One 12 line but, It can try your patience at times. And then there are the Mezco exclusives that they ambush you with! No warning & a last second announcement! And they sell out in minutes! If you are going to collect this line you must stay on your toes & be patient! This is what I chose as a hobby, fun right?

Kinda random question, but I don't have any Mezco figures so I'm a bit clueless: how compatible are Mezco heads with heads/bodies from lines like Marvel Legends? Just wondering if it would be a pretty standard swap or would heavy modifications be needed? Particularly interested in the swaps between female figures.

Good question, they are pretty compatible actually. Check out some customs floating around, some use Legends (as I have) to create a Mezco style look with soft goods. And from what I understand the heads are pretty swappable as well.

Thanks for the reply! Really interested in some of these Mezco heads for Marvel Legends. The sculpts on the upcoming Hela heads are 500% better than the Hasbro versions. Which honestly is to be expected, but I digress. Thanks!

I put the Punisher battle mask (uhg... hate that look) on Crossbones and it fit fine. the Mezco heads are a bit softer than ML and can squeeze onto pegs easier...

Yikes, that head was meant for Punisher?? Looks like it was designed with ol' Crossbones in mind. Looks perfect on him! Also, Glad to hear that the Mezco heads are easy to work with. Thanks for the info!

ive said "ill pass" but the popeye fig is starting to grow on me

probably one of my favorite figures- I'm on the waitlist for the white version. hopefully it comes through.

I grabbed a DC Rookie figure just for the unmasked portrait hoping to use it with Mezco Miles, but it didn't fit at all.

Is Miles the same size/buck as BatmanBeyond?
