half an hour past 11 a.m and already McFarlane DC Multiverse Darkseid sold out on bigbadtoystore. Jeez

about as bad as people hanging around on Mattel Creation all morning to get that exclusive Masters of the Universe Origins figure.

how big are these DC Multiverse figures anyways? are they a little bigger than a Marvel Legends figure?

Regular Multiverse figures are 7 inches

Megafigures can be Taller than 7 inches

That would be an improvement. It sold out most places in less than 5 minutes upon the listing going live. With the exception of Amazon. It lasted almost 25 minutes there.

Maybe you should quit Mattel Creations. That gal ain't kind to you at all. You seem obsessed with her doin' you wrong.

How big this ole boy look to you? Providing the box is the same size I'd say Bane Height. Kalibak may be bigger than the 'Seid.

warmachine6 05-28-2024 10:41 AM

Welp i missed out on Darkseid, hopefully there is a re-release

WallySparks 05-28-2024 10:46 AM

Good luck with that, buddy.

new Darkseid like the Masters of the Universe Origins Rokkon will be expensive on eBay and Amazon. frikkin scalpers. hoarders buying up multiples on Bigbadtoystore and mattle creations these days. it makes me sick

Wasn't Rokkon a Mattel Creations exclusive? Darkseid will be available in stores.

The light piping eye effect on SP Darkseid was cool as fuck back in the day. Darkseid was also one of those instances of a great figure being a pegwarmer for some reason.

CosmicCreature 05-28-2024 12:48 PM

Looks like a great Darkseid .haha I see its gone already. I didnt know it was today . I just saw a picture few days ago with no date .
I wonder how many total sold today ?

It would have been cool if Todd had created the Omega blaze eye effects on this figure to be removable and included some swap out Omega Beam zig-zag effects.

Thank you. Went over there at lunch today and found Penguin

"WAAAAAAAAAH!"

cheers, that being said UK get some stuff a little bit later, but we shall see. McFarlane likes his repaints/variants.
Maybe we'll get a Michael turner Darkseid with the similar look to what he had in batman/superman Apocalypse animation adaptation.

Zorn88 05-28-2024 01:28 PM

I passed on this one. I don't like the cape and will wait for the inevitable Superman two pack with a more modern design.

WallySparks 05-28-2024 03:03 PM

well, I pre ordered the new Darkseid at the time during 11 a. central time.

as for the rest of other people, well have to wait and see who else actually pre ordered it.

Darkseid is also sold out on entertainment Earth. Been a long time since I even bought anything from Entertainment Earth like buying the 3 inch Star Wars Black Series Leia in Boussh disguise figure back in 2015.

I pity the fool that even tries to waste 140ish bucks on that on eBay ville. sketchy skeevy shady sellers on eBay all the time

I bet the ones buying them are scalpers. They have plenty of money left over from scalping previous figures.

hasbroherofan 05-28-2024 04:04 PM

Anyone who’d pay that is an idiot. We should all know how this works by now. Within a year there will be a “Gold Label” rerelease without the cape, either as a solo release or in a box set.

Kinda like hasbro with legends bafs.

WallySparks 05-28-2024 04:59 PM

disagree. the ones that are selling the Darkseid figure at that price of $140ish bucks they're probably a scalper ripping off people that are trying to buy or at least pre order a Darkseid figure. That's what I cant stand about people these days when it comes to Amazon and eBay where some of those sellers are themselves scalpers who think its funny to rip people off.

that and scalpers/hoarders also lurk on sites like Mattel Creations to buy up multiples to screw other people over. that crap still goes on for old videogames but now its going on with pre orders for action figures if its a Mattel Creations Masters of the Universe exclusive figure or a popular DC Comics characters for the DC Multiverse McFarline 7 inch figure series.

Scalpers make me sick pretty much when they do this sort of thing

agreed Scalpers are assholes plain and simple

Struggler 05-28-2024 09:29 PM

This stuff makes me just want to abandon collecting completely. I just noticed this figure a few minutes ago.

AyaToyBox 05-29-2024 06:22 AM

Holy I didn't expect Darkseid sold this well, but hey have to admit it's classic looks

jayvee 05-29-2024 06:39 AM

Not that my opinion matters. Yes. Scalpers suck.

It's just another Darkseid figure. I've lost count of how many versions McToys has done. I don't and didn't need another version. I passed. I feel bad for collectors who wanted it and can't get it pre order-retail price.

These sell outs actually prolong the lifespan of this line. They're a necessary evil. Remember when movie Darkseid couldn't be had? Or Swamp Thing? Or King Shark? Or HazMat Batman? How many of these are available at near retail or even below now? Plenty. I have more than a dozen figures from DC Multiverse in my collection that I never saw at retail or online preorder retail that I was able to purchase below retail months or even a year after the initial release.

But yeah, scalpers still suck.

firmpulse 05-29-2024 07:20 AM

I think it's bullshit scalpers are allowed to sell something that ISN'T EVEN IN HAND. It should not be a practice that eBay even allows. All these assholes have done is PO a figure. Then sell their vaporware PO to someone else. The people that buy into the scheme are a mystery to me. McFarlane figures, especially the Mega-figs, can usually be found in stores pretty easily. This Darkseid will be no different.

I might contact ebay customer service and say something about that.

warmachine6 05-29-2024 09:55 AM

just secured Darkseid
