Well, I hit the Toys R Us sale yesterday and waddaya know, nothing. 2 Wreckers and the "Modular" armor Iron Man. I asked a girl to check the back and she said there was nothing to stock, either. Practically a joke, a sale on items they don't even have. Sadly, I've already scored the few Cap and Thor figs I want, so I couldn't take advantage on that front.

Wheeled over to the nearby Target after, where I totally found a Gladiator! So, him and 1st app Wolvie are my newest (wave wise) figs. Mostly the same old junk on the pegs but they had my Gladiator and 3 1st app Wolverines, one of which was on the floor, like someone had scooped up armfuls of Cyclops, Cable and Apocalypse and split. Jerks. I feel like the only reason that Gladiator was still there was because he's got some kinda face cancer. (see pics below) So I might leave him in the package just in case I find a better one.

After that, I went to the Disney store. They only had 3 figs but one of them was a Jean Grey, which I snagged in case someone on here still needs her. Not recommended for the MOC collector though, as the card's got a pretty ugly tear.

And after that I hit FYE, they just had a few common older figs. I finally tried Khols, just a Spidey line Hobgoblin, and I even hit Walgreens. (They only carry 6-inch Spidey and Star Wars. Boo.)

Oh, I did score a Nano Bug for my cat, Thor. He loves it!

(stupid flash)

ludovicotek 08-14-2011 11:38 AM

^ Thor looks absolutely thrilled with his new Nano Bug. It's a shame that you were unable to find anything for that 2-for-$11 sale. It seems like the Cap and Thor lines are officially dead. Stores are just not restocking those lines anymore.

Got back with your receipt and get another figure. Take it to customer service and say you want to return then re-buy the figure and get another.

Dylan in Oregon 08-14-2011 11:53 AM

^ I'm going back!

Dylan in Oregon 08-14-2011 02:48 PM

Just spent the last hour standin' these jerks up! My full collection minus a handful of Shit-Heel-Showdown figs. Huge clusterfluck, but think of it like a Where's Waldo ('cept you won't find that striped shit wearin' waif!(unless maybe they made 3 3/4 version...))

Then just go with the receipt and explain what you're doing. They should be able to return and then resell with just the receipt. Actually, they CAN do it, just depends if the person working customer service wants to be a pain or not.

It's a common fact that any retailer will match a change in price within 30 days of buying said purchase, which is only fair, You buy a tv for $1000 on monday and on thursday it goes on sale for $500, they owe u $500, and normally all you need is your proof of purchase aka reciept and debit/credit card for them to put the refund back on.

This doc strange photo is awesome.

I just wanted to share my latest mod to the x force deadpool. Swapped out his sword holsters with the deadpool taskmaster pack. Molded the x force emblem and put it on his chest. Painted the x force symbols and belts.

Thanks for the heads up. I might try this tomorrow.:D

Dylan in Oregon 08-14-2011 08:36 PM

Yeah, dig that Deadpool, Symbiote!

And thanks for all the compliments, everyone! My perma-display is a bit small, so it's cool to break 'em all out once in a while!

Dylan in Oregon 08-14-2011 09:11 PM

Also, hit my two local Targets plus two Walmarts, same lameness. But then my awesome girlfriend suggested we head outside our usual circle. Two hours and two Targets later...

http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/...4/100_4963.jpg

Jacked on plastic crack!!! We were dancin' in the freakin' isles!

Prior to yesterday's Gladiator find, the newest figure I had found was the 1st appearance Wolverine. As that was a couple of months ago, I've felt due for some new hotness.

Peep the papers! Nearly 40 bones saved! I'm way too excited right now!

http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/...4/100_4967.jpg

Now, to crack a brew and crack open these toys!

ludovicotek 08-14-2011 09:13 PM

^ Hells yeah. The hunt is worth it.

Symbiote 08-14-2011 09:32 PM

Nothing like cracking open a nice ice cold brew and new figures.

MarvelTF918 08-14-2011 09:48 PM

Sadly Im kinda just starting my collection...
