weird angle and lighting on Strucker, his head looks funny in that pic and his hand is a strange colour...

that is pretty good! I think SDCC set aside, getting Moonstone and Jean Grey for 20 altogether was my best steal |
I only have 1 hydra movie based...I'm really looking to expand my hydra army. Idc if it's the movie based or the comic ones or even from the mu three pack (which is expensive)..but if ya'll can help me with a few. I'll pay for a few :)

sadly, the comic colour variant are creeping up in price and often MORE than the MU TRU 3pack, we have a few of those as well, but use them as vehicle and mech drivers. Just never really cared for them much, they are spendy but readily available. I think it is the balaclava they wear that throws me off. They make a nice 'specialist' though.
The way to go is the dark green and red. There are 2 styles ( #12 armoured soldier and #15 attack trooper ) and the match the Dark Threat figures. Can find them from the Chinese sellers as well for around $8 a pop, sometimes. Ebay seller:therock9000 often has them. For overall look, you can guess what ones we like ( #15 attack trooper comic coloured variant )The #12 variant figure has a brown harness and NO logo on the arm, the #15 variant figure has a yellow harness and HAS a HYDRA logo on the arm. The movie non variants are great if you just want to build up 3,5,7 or 10 of them for cheap. There are also other figures to use as 'filler' to boost your numbers and fill out a sceene as well. I will set up a big shot in the next few days with all of them and all the vehicles maybe. Also, if you use the dark green, red and black movie figures there are a lot of options. Like the black and grey Red Skull as officers with simple blonde head swaps. I guess it really boils down to WHAT RED SKULL you want to use. ( we use the SDCC nvaders one ) I would say pick one, build the officers to match. Slowly build up troopers around those and look out for matching figures in GI JOE lines and others as well. Build you a Strucker to match as well in a common uniform colour. As long as there is a flow throughout them, it doesnt matter what figures you use mate..... just that they look good together. Please dont go the road we went.... it is long, expensive, addictive and sort of silly. In fact, if you ever come across the ATTACK TROOPER #15 comic coloured variants, do your self a favour and get rid of it before it takes over. I will bear this drudgery for you..... ;) Find one, send him to me, and I will suffer for you. |
Hasbro just needs to make a new comic Hydra figure for the MI line. I mean, Hydra has been all the rage lately. Of course, it probably wouldn't have wrist articulation!

my recent score would be these HTF sets....

Ok now that everyone is posting up all these cool pix I must join in. Was going to wait until I had my new bike for Ghost Rider but whatever. All of the figures pictured below I just got this week except Ghost Rider, Thor, Crossbones & Starlord. Bones, Star & Thor are just quick body swaps that I really dig. I had actually had another crossbones body that was the Battle Kata Roadblock w/ Retaliation wave 1 Roadblock arms. I just didn't like the look of it. I'm in love with the SHS Spidey, he's a lil on the skinny side but so awesome. There's a good chance that I'll be keeping Thing for my collecting & ditching the MU version as well. I bought the SHS Silver Surfer just for his board. I'll post up new bike pix asa I get it. Sorry for all of the pictures.

Hulk would destroy Batman, it wouldn't even be funny (well maybe to the Joker). I think even though I like Batman (especially the Arkham games) that the Mattel 3.75" line is disappointing. Scarecrow is easily one of my favorite Batman villains, and his upcoming 3.75" figure looks poorly painted, which is slightly sad since he might of made a good Marvel Scarecrow stand-in. I feel like Marvel's 4" figure line is better than the 6" line because I can get so many more characters with same detail (close enough), but with Batman I like the 6" more because I don't want so many and then the 3.75" figures look "meh".

I was going to every TJ Maxx looking for that Trickster & Heatwave set. I never found one and it remains the only ones I'm missing. :(
I found all the other ones. I will trade you SDCC Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash, & Green Lantern for them! :D MU pics in progress... Hope no one gets jealous. :D |

My friend and I were the first to spot the Spidey and his Amazing Friends in the wild. I never found Vision at retail but he found a couple. Black Panther & Blade were some of my first MU figures. The Havoc & Death Archangel variants were aplenty at my Target. I unfortunately traded away Death Archangel. http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1407057883 http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1407057883 Sandman, Vulture, and Black Cat will fit right in. I contend that Showdown Green Goblin is the best figure ever made in this scale! http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1407058427 I saw lots of variant Iron Patriots. |
