I really hope with all the publicity that Guardians received. Hasbro will step up and get some Good Gaurdian figures. those 2.5 figures are utter crap

Kernel 08-14-2014 01:16 PM

^ yeah, I am glad we got a nebula as I don't think we will see her again even in legends form. Hopefully they make a cyborg version of her. I almost pulled the trigger on the thanos imperative set but we already have those in MU and I like the MU blastaar better than the look of the legends one. The gauntlet is still up on HTS if anybody still needs one. I think this may be it for 2014 for MU/MI? I think all of those new figs at SDCC won't be released until 2015.

Forgot that we have Blastaar in the 3.75, 2 versions too now that I remember. Dang if it wasn't for Medusa I wouldn't even have gotten that set ugh:P She's the only 1 figure that I really wanted.

En Sabah Nerd 08-14-2014 05:19 PM

I was very pleasantly surprised with the Blastaar we got in MU. Yeah it wasn't his modern look, but it is still a great figure, I especially like the colors. I don't even have the energy glowy version, but I majorly dig the regular as he looks better just standing there than his combat-ready variant.
Also, as I dwell on the Guardians' movie and hope for other obscure-to-the-public franchises like Moon Knight or Nova to get movies, I'm upset we have to wait so long for a comic Gamora in the MU scale. Legends got the entire movie team into one wave, why can't MI handle that? She is the only major member of the modern guardians to lack a figure (I'm counting Groot as having a figure even though it's just a tiny planter version) and that's lame.

samsson37 08-14-2014 05:27 PM

Guys if you want the perfect Groot grab the leg squeeze-y one, I have it,and I think it works great. I don't need my Groot to have bendy legs and 20 points of articulation. Sometimes Mu figs have toooo much articulation.

All my trades came through and I've added several more figures to my 3.75 display

I don't want the movie version in my comic figure display, I'm picky like that. Also don't care for the current price, maybe if I see it at a Ross type store, but for now $10 is too much for a stand-in-look-good deal. I also really want them to somehow release the Legends BaF Groot individually, I don't want the entire Legends wave so I can't build him that way, but I do really want a Groot (just obviously not for the ridiculous Ebay prices).

MADREVJACK 08-15-2014 03:15 AM

JMurray - love the set up, they look great. What other figures are you looking for?

Iceman 08-15-2014 09:59 AM

Wow. Fast forward on this link to 9:50 to see an interview with Dwight. Watch him talk about a poor kid that was sad his figure had lost it's hand and how cutting the articulation will save us all from such tragedy.

I have spaces saved in my display Sailor Jupiter, JL Cyclops, Kitty Pryde, Magneto, Mystique and Nightcrawler than I'm going to focus on ML for a while.

Found interesting that the MU OR seems to sell for a lot higher then the MI one, isn't it just the card that's the difference, granted for the MOSC collector's I can understand....

This happens a bit. The original is older, and in this case harder to find, so it holds higher in-box value. Loose collectors shouldn't care, unless there was some huge QC issue being fixed with later releases. The figure itself should be the same for Omega Red, old or new.

Kernel 08-15-2014 04:31 PM

^ funny I was just looking at the Omega reds today and I couldn't spot a difference. People are paying good money for some cardboard (as opposed to cardboard and plastic lol).

I listened to part of that, kind of a cheesy excuse but somewhat valid I guess. I miss me some vonner! Please bring him back as the new guy is all about legends where vonner was more into 4" scale and it definitely shows. The marvelous guys sounded dissapointed with 4" stuff.

spade 08-15-2014 05:12 PM

He also said tongue and check that we didn't need articulated noses and ears. That was his joke in the shartimus prime video. It's pretty dismissive on his part. Yeah we know they cutting cost but don't be a jerk about it like the fans are asking for ridiculous articulation.

I guess Dwight has a wife and kids to support.

It's amazing what a simple paint job can do.

Man I would've been happy if they did the ASM2 line like the ASM1 line.

i know its not ideal as far as articulation but I think that weird gimmicky grout would work well in scale

Not trying to be biased to my own stuff, just thought it ironic that I am sitting at my desk exactly like Spider-Man while I read your post
