Iron Fist seems like an odd placement in that list. Particularly with our just receiving the white suited one. Perhaps an MCU version? The rest of the list would be cool.

How could we possibly get an Iron Fist based on something that doesn't exist yet?! Why haven't we gotten a Netflix Daredevil? Not even from DST.

- Dr. Strange Astral Form (Movie)

The only ones I would buy from that are... Mordo, provided that is supposed to be Baron Mordo.

I didn't know and that list sounds pretty nice. I'm upset that Wong didn't make the cut, but the Ancient One is an acceptable replacement. How awesome would it be if the Voodoo in the set was the unreleased version. I doubt it would ever happen, but I can dream.

Spyne98 12-29-2015 07:36 PM

That Dr. Strange line up is pretty sweet. Iron Fist seems a little odd, but I like the rest.

Boy Blunder 12-29-2015 07:48 PM

I will cry tears of joy if that Nico comes into existence.

I will too. She's a figure I never thought had a chance due to her "costume" changing with every appearance.

I want a whole Runaways set! But I'd start with Nico

SymbiSpidey 12-29-2015 10:19 PM

My MCU collection is coming along pretty nicely, if I do say so myself:

http://i.imgur.com/S4doltU.jpg?1

Still a few crucial characters missing, but overall a nice sizeable roster that might need to increase 4 times its size to take down Thanos lol

We still need movie Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Vision....not to mention the Netflix characters and now Dr. Strange and Black Panther. Oh boy, the rabbit hole has only just begun...

warmachine6 12-30-2015 02:26 AM

I did a random head count of figures this morning and found out this guy was my 75th character !!!! got 85 figures in total/displayed on my wall 86 when Thanos is complete but this guy was before thanos
so 75th character achieved!!!!

I just don't see IF being in this wave, but hey crazier things have happened.

AndreWebs 12-30-2015 10:12 AM

Guys, did you collect the Figuarts Avengers? I think they mix well with the Legends Line

Also that's an interesting conversation regarding female powerhouses. if I may throw my hat into that ring, I think the most powerful females are going to be more energy or magic based users. Storm, Phoenix (both Jean and Rachel) Moonstone and Captain Marvel (both Carol and Monica) as far as energy based, Magik, Scarlet Witch, Selene, Madelyne Pryor and Morgan Le Fay as far as magical are to me not only the most powerful women in Marvel but potentially the most powerful characters period, with throwing a handful of males like Thor, Loki, Dr. Doom, Dr. Strange, Mangneto, Wonder Man and X-Man in there. That's not taking into account any Lord of Hell which is a whole different direction. And if you're talking the most overall powerful marvel character, we really need to look at the characters who were able to create entirely new realities (without Time Travel or revealed to just be psychic manipulation ) and that would Morgan Le Fay and Scarlet Witch. To me, that pretty much tops any other ability, be it psychic or physical.

Apologies for not posting the full series! It's rumoured to be Nico, Baron Mordo, Doctor Strange (comic version), The Ancient One, Brother Voodoo, Iron Fist (MCU version?) and two movie Doctor Stranges: one astral, and one not. No BAF revealed though, much like the X-Men wave rumour.

You make really good points there, and Jean and Wanda (and Morgan too!) would definitely take the points for most powerful IF writers didn't have to keep driving a bus over them. Strange, Thor, Hulk, all are consistently written as extremely powerful, but Wanda's "mental illnesses" prevent her from being a true powerhouse. Damn you, Bendis!

In the cosmic run when Rachel was with the Starjammers she was kinda regularly referred to as an omega level telepath and a significant threat by different alien species plus in AvX she kinda took Thor on solo so just above average doesn't sound right for her especially reckoning when she had the Phoenix force under her control.

Rachel is the ultimate bad arse, and coincidentally she's the most popular underrated character. She took out Thor with a psychic Mjolnir for crying out loud! She was also, as you said, an absolute powerhouse fighting Vulcan, and don't forget that time she went toe-to-toe with Galactus, and also when she formed a black hole to kill The Fury. She has some major skill.

I agree, what would be a cool idea IF they're making a dr strange wave, how about they release the 90s version of him? you figure why considering hasbro has been bringing back some classic spidey costumes scarlet and sensational. Why not bring out the masked dr strange appearance ? i would get one.

warmachine6 12-30-2015 01:05 PM

i look forward to stranges wave cant wait for it, might get astral form movie strange so pumped for the film after seeing the images released

Captain Nash 12-30-2015 01:35 PM

Interesting line up with the rumored Dr. Strange line. Not sure how I feel about it. Iron Fist is DEFINITELY out of place. Would we be getting a MCU or a comic Ancient One I wonder, as the answer to that would make a difference in the number of females in this wave, if the casting rumors are to be believed. Mordo and Nico would be welcome. Personally would love to see Clea in there as well. and I'm assuming that Dorummuu..muu...mu?..HOWEVER you spell his name, would be the BAF, but what if it's Shmua Gorath (or again, however you spell his/her/it's name.)

Starlord67 12-30-2015 02:17 PM

I'd love to see Clea in the Dr. Strange line up. I've always been a fan of hers . Could the Iron Fist figure be from the Netflix series?? I think this would have been a great place to include a new Blade figure!

Yeah, Wanda. Even when the Avengers JLA crossover occurred, league members quickly determined that Wanda was the cause and that she was the single greatest threat. We know she can warp reality thanks to House of M and Avengers: Disassembled. But so can a few other characters like Jasper, Korvac, Proteus, and Sersi (another femme to add to the list of uber-power). Additionally, she took out one of the Enchanters (Magnir) on her own without the aid of Thor or Odin. The Enchanters function more as enemies of Odin than they do Thor, quite an impressive feat. However, her mortality, inability to survive the vacuum of space, and vulnerability to physical injury all make her more of a runner-up in comparison to that upper echelon of over the top power.

Rachel is another beast entirely (and I mean BEAST). Her considerable TK powers, combined with her telepathic abilities, all of which augmented by the Phoenix force, make her very much like Maxima of DC (although, I think Rachel is potentially more powerful in spite of Maxima demonstrating more 'on-hand' physical power). Her TK gives her a measure of invulnerability and super-strength, theoretically. More significantly, her Phoenix Force makes her a power cosmic wielder. Unfortunately, as you alluded to, writers can either carry or ruin the day by limiting her access to the Phoenix Force.

Rachel has had many standout battles; a starving Galactus featuring prominently. However, I cringe when this technique is employed in order to make a statement about a hero or villain's level of power i.e. Thanos and Odin doing the same to Galan when his strength was waning (fight Glactus straight up dammit! lol I just might be a Galactus fan :D). Using this logic, Silver Surfer is by far the most powerful being among Marvel heroes given that he defeated not one, but two fully powered proemial gods in the form of Tenebrous and Aegis. A feat that even Galactus was shocked to learn. Ahem...fanboy mini-rant done and I'm most definitely a Surfer fan!!! ;)...back to Rachel. She also defeated/overwhelmed the Beyonder by giving him all of the Phoenix's power. That's pretty crazy stuff right there. Then there was her fight with Necrom, a former Phoenix Force user AND sorcerer supreme of his reality. I believe that was when I was most impressed by her might. They were going at it and she attacked him with planets....Planets!?!? But of course, her conduit to the Phoenix was on full-tilt because it (the Phoenix) wanted to reject Necrom...if I remember correctly.

With all of that said, it's obvious that she's a heavy weight. But I'm left wondering (as with Wanda) exactly how 'heavy' she might be. She acquitted herself well against an energy leech like Vulcan, but was clearly out-matched against Gladiator (one of Marvel's many Superman-like characters...along with Sentry, Blue Marvel, Strontian/Xenith). How would Rachel fair against Thanos?...Odin?...Zeus?...Mikaboshi?...Mephisto?.. .Tenebrous?...Aegis?...Dormammu?...Franklin Richards?...X-man?...Onslaught?...Magus (of the Technarchy - how the hell did Colossus, Rogue, and Nightcrawler ever defeat him?) and a whole slew of other 'ultra-might' characters?

I could pontificate about these things for days, but I'll spare the thread and end my tangential contribution here...

EDIT:
@Starlord
I also want Clea...

We need figures of the two most underappreciated and underused powerful Avenger ladies (that are not named Scarlet Witch) ever: Monica R. and Sersi! Sersi being another character I should have included in my powerhouse women of Marvel list. She's not reality warping powerful but I'd hate to get on her bad side. Plus, she is a CLassic (pre New) Avenger that had a decent stint on the team.

I like Sersi too (all of the Eternals for that matter - really digging that Gilgamesh/The Forgotten One is in Herc's new book) , and find the personality they've written for her to be very engaging. You're right, she can't change reality on a global/universal scale, but she can transmute matter into whatever she chooses. An ability that makes her very dangerous along with the litany of other abilities she possesses.

Monica should have been made a long, long time ago...when they do make her, she needs an energy translucent variant.

I'll add a few points of my own here:
I generally like that Wanda isn't constantly an OP wrecker of realities. The fact that she's still really only a human/mutant/mutate places limits that can keep things interesting. Adam Magus is another character who can restructure reality but he is typically one of the god-power guys.

I loved reading Beta Ray Bill Godhunter and part of it was him going around forcing Galactus to starve but it was nice to have him wind up helping the big fella in the end as they shared the same condition being the last of their kinds. It really helps humanize Galactus.

Speaking of Onslaught I still get a chuckle when in his first encounter with Jean she tries unleashing the Phoenix on him and Onslaught just crunches it in his fist and burns his name onto Jean's head. Technically this all happens in the astral plane but that's supposedly where Onslaught is most vulnerable.

if they did that, I think I would pee my pants. I would also be fine with a classic/modern variant swapout, though I think it's more likely that based on moldings we'll just get the modern look. I'm okay with this, she's one of the few characters that Im just as good with the modern look as I am the classic look.

Good point on Wanda, her mortality does provide the opportunity for dramatic tension given that she can be killed. Adam was created by a gifted cabal of 'human' scientists, so I would put him on a level just below godhood considering that 'mankind' can't really 'create' a 'god.' I was talking about Warlock's (New Mutants/ Technarch) father when I mentioned Magus.

Guess Onslaught doesn't give a shit 'bout no Phoenix Force! lol

I want her classic outfit too...if only to see how they handle her 80's 'S-curl' fro! LOL For those unfamiliar with what an 'S-curl' is (or unfamiliar with certain elements of African American culture), think 'jerry-curl'-lite or 'soul-glo' from "Coming to America."

I'm surprised we haven't had Inferno Destroyer as a figure of BAF
All we got to my knowledge was the 3.75 figure from the Thor run.
