Has the new DC essentials line of figures been released yet and if so do they fit in scale with DCUC/Multiverse? (I know the Icons didn't match properly)

Several figures from the line have been released. They started showing up last spring, I believe. They are in the 7" scale, so they are quite a bit bigger than Mattel stuff. The Icons would actually be a better fit.

Ah ok thanks for clarifying. That's a pain, I saw the new Red Hood figure was up for pre order but no point getting it if it won't fit in with my other DCUC figs :(

Well DC Multiverse teased a new Red Hood back at SDCC so here's hoping that Mattel doesn't just abandon the line since they're losing the license. I'd figure that since they still have it until 2020 we should still get those figures that they already showed us and maybe a little more still.

I'm cautiously optimistic, her hair looked great at the convention but Mattel has a history of showing off these really well painted prototypes at conventions and then the final release falls short. Back when they did their first Ghostbusters figures the Slimer at conventions was completely painted and then the final release was just translucent plastic. Less severe but much more recently the new Kingdom Come Superman's hair at conventions was correctly painted but from what I've seen of reviews the final figure's hair is just all black.

Oh yeah I had forgotten about that one, IIRC they also teased a Rebirth era Tim Drake Red Robin as well?

Got the exclusive Spoiler this week, having been a fan of the character since the 90's its great to finally have her in the multiverse line! its just a shame they couldn't include a fully masked head as well that she wore at one point in the Rebirth series

I just used the wondergirl cassie sandsmark head for an unmasked steph.

Cool idea I will try that, shame they couldn't have included that in the box LOL (although I meant shame they couldnt have included a completely covered head as well as the half mask design)

Actually speaking of Spoiler she comes with a CNC part for Super Luthor but the head doesnt look like Lex, not having read the arc is it another character?

It's Lex corrupted by... the spirit of Darkseid? ...or something. He was on Apocalypse and was being worshipped as the new savior and started to become Darkseid. I think ther story for interrupted by annuals and an event because I can't recall how it ended. But yeah-, it's Lex as Darkseid.

Have i mentioned how frickin' awesome the Vixen figure is? I don't have a lot of animal toys to really convey her powers though, but I figured the Mezco Kong was just about perfect for putting Deathstroke down! Lol.

I only saw one kyle outta 6 targets. They had the spongebob movie....i mean aquaman basic figs on clearance.....but i obly wanted prm and he was mia. They had the two packs on clearance as well butnot for 27.98. Curious as to why target never got the multiverse spongebob figs....errrr aquaman in. They never got em. And all i see is manta at failmarts, still 19.99 too. Sheesh.

I hope somehow the clayface wave gets to five below. I need two clayfaces....one for normL and the other so i can paint small bits of yellow corn on him and make clayfaces redneck cousin.........Sh!tface, ;)

Is Simon Baz getting released in the Super Luthor wave? Hes on the back of the Spoiler box but hes not in the wave set for BBTS and other online sites?

If hes not do we know when/if hes getting released? Hes the only earth lantern without a DCUC or multiverse figure!

With the window of a Mattel Catwoman being released anytime soon, I decided to just go ahead and kitbash my own. Used primarily Marvel Legends parts with the head and hands from some Dc Collectibles figures.
