I'm hoping it's just the prototypes, it looks like they just photoshopped the rebirth Batman head with longer ears... Hoping for more info at SDCC!

At this point, I couldn't care less who they cast as Batman as I'm sick and tired of Batman. There's more to the DC Universe than just Batman.

I don't know as it looks like it's the same bodies that the horrible looking Flash is using.

It's also insulting that they are going to use the same body over, but not up the accessories to make up for it.

Have we seen any in-hand photos of the Ninja Batman wave? I remember seeing a couple of the new Beast Boy figure, but that's it, and every site still has the figures up for preorder, just shifting the release date.

I know Mattel's got a lot of issues going on with the line, and we're likely in the death throes, but I'm really hoping to see these last few figures get released, but given that we haven't even seen the prototype of the live-action Black Lightning figure, I'm really questioning what's going on with this wave.

Anyone know/seen/heard anything?

Is that the one with Nightwing and Starfire? Yeah I'm looking forward to those.

I'm definitely worried for the upcoming wave. I only really want Starfire but between Mattel's typical crappy distribution and the fact that they're losing the license after this year I'm afraid they're going to drag their heels and make these figures damn near impossible to get.

We've seen Red Hood, Poison Ivy, some others I forget, and Mammoth which it's safe to assume is a CnC but I don't believe anything solid has been provided.

Starfire is wearing too much clothing. ;) i want the REAL wally west, nightwing and black lightning. I could care less about samurai bats.

I think this is how a few of us feel, it looks like a pretty strong wave except for the CnC. It should have been Mammoth.

Especially given the Mostly Teen Titans lineup.

I could do without Samurai Bats and Black Lightning, tbh (just don't collect the live-action figures, myself), but this wave is a bunch of favorites, even if they're not the 'classic' versions of them. Especially looking forward to Star and BB, and John for my (almost complete) GL collection.

I just hope they actually do release Simon Baz before the line ends. I know he was planned for the Lex wave, and is still in the 'future releases' zone, but dammit. I fell in love with him and Jessica from reading Green Lanterns, and I already nabbed Jessica.

@Cole, thanks for the updated info. Black Lightning does look pretty awesome, but just doesn't have a place in our collection. I'd rather go for one of the more 'iconic' comic looks.

I still haven't found a Batman Beyond for a decent price. I think the lowest I've seen was about $40 and it was loose.

That was why we preordered that wave. Between me and my wife, we wanted pretty much everyone except KC Superman, and even he's found a place with our collection.

Had the Samurai Bats wave on preorder too, but a lot came up in the past couple months, making me have to cancel. TBH I should be thankful that it hasn't fully dropped, since I can just grab the preorder again.

Felt the same. However, I just picked up the DC Essentials Superman and it’s easily the best Superman figure I’ve ever owned. Great sculpt, perfect colors. Highly recommended. Still want this Neca set, though.

I wanted to like the Essentials Superman but when my comic shop got them in I just couldn't. The proportions were off and the belt loops being unpainted was a pretty notable bummer given that it's supposed to be a collector line and it's not like Superman has a lot else going on. The fact that he came with no alternate hands or heads was also a letdown.

I've thought the same thing, they have really upped their game with the newest few waves... right before they are due to lose the licence :(

Agreed, I cant imagine there was that much demand for CNC's of Ninja Batman & Joker compared to other characters like Mammoth, Girder, Killer Croc or Man-Bat!

Same here, I really hope we get Simon to display with the Jessica figure and to complete the Earth GL's!

I also hope we get an Orphan and Azrael to complete the Rebirth Detective Comics era team along with the upcoming Tim Drake figure

the essentials is nice..
but it's still not striking me the way i want my superman fig to strike me.
