First Look At The Front Of The Vision In Avengers: Age Of Ultron | Comicbook.com

First look!!!! Behold...The Vision. For those of you waiting for a movie version figure may be disappointed. Looks great AND comic accurate, except for the red boots and gloves. Looks like IF we get figures for the movie, he won't be the beauty we know and love. I fear the expensive figure may go up even more once this bad as s movie drops!

Is is possible for Hasbro to release the comic version again despite it not being the movie accurate. They did it with GotG too.

They might do a comic influenced box set. I could see that happening with comic ant-man and comic ultron to go alongside a movie 3 pack set of movie ant-man, movie ultron, and movie vision. I'm hoping for movie Ant-man at least. That box set is more likely to have Tony Stark(from the hall of armor set) because of the MCU change in who made Ultron. (Either one is win to me. Haven't gotten a normal Tony Stark figure yet!)

En Sabah Nerd 09-07-2014 02:05 PM

If we get an Ant-Man figure for Age of Ultron, it'll be a comic series figure since he won't be in the movie at all. Unless they do some kind of preview figure, but Hasbro hasn't done that in a long time.

ukmu 09-07-2014 03:02 PM

Maybe we can get cosmic axe Skrull again, because Skrulls love to chop down trees.

It's possible they'll slide it in somehow since his movie is right at the same time more or less. Doubtful he'd get a full line anyway since there's not much in the movie to work with outside of at most 5 costumes, more likely only 3 or 2. I'm kind of curious to see how they'll approach it if they do. The best direction would be to slide it into the carryover waves of Age of Ultron since that toyline will be on shelves at the same time Ant-man is released anyway.

I really love the design of this character. It stays classic but with a few mods to modernize & fit in movie.

I finally found a local toy store and picked up an MU gladiator, xmow wolverine with stasis chamber, and dcuc mongul (in scale with my 4" dc stuff) for $20, but nowhere near that firestar pickup.

Glad I picked up that box set for 35 at the time then...

I could see that happening, then you would see the value of the other Vision drop right? Dang I should sell MU one now haha kidding.

En Sabah Nerd 09-08-2014 12:47 PM

I don't think the original Vision's value would drop if they released it again in MI or made a new one. There have been re-released figures of vintage Star Wars toys, but the true original '78 toys have maintained high value. Though that is Star Wars so there's a built-in collector's value, so it is possible that the MU Vision will decrease in value if they repack it into MI, but I doubt it would be a crippling reduction.

Mint in package may not drop much. The loose figures will though depending upon availability. Depends if it's a multi-pack or single figure recard. Lots of factors to determine it. Plus if there's any alterations made to the figure. If they improved on it by adding more articulation like the neck hinge, and swivel thighs, (basically a new buck) it depends how strong the demand is for the new over the previous if it's an improvement.

Star Wars is a different kind of collector's market. Super Hero figure collectors tend to gravitate towards the better rendition of characters and the Mint in package collectors are the minority for the most part. Most want them as display pieces. This is also why value fluctuates across the figures based on demand and character exposure.

Star wars is more predominately a Mint in package collector majority and historic value. There's a lot of different kind of collector markets and fan bases to take into consideration per each fandom and the type it is. It's also dependent on what's most prevalent within that market. (There's much more that can be said about this, but then this is already getting long winded.)

Yeah your right, heck the first MU Omega Red goes for so much versus the MI and the only real difference is the card art.

Ten figures on their own would be about $100 at retail, so yeah that's pretty nice.

Daaayuuum! that is awesome way to go. I want to go to there.
I feel terrible for the guy who sold his collection for that price.
Did they have a shocker or any obscure iron man armors?

RodimusVTS 09-08-2014 10:21 PM

I just added 12 new items including a MUCH better Son of Cole head, and a MUCH better Phantom-X head both thanks to Jim Sloth

3D printed accessories

Quick question: would there be high interest in custom accessories for Marvel 4 inch figures amongst collectors? Say the Casket of Ancient Winters. Or Dr. Doom's throne?

Got some free time and a 3D printer and was thinking of doing something on the side for fun. By the way, please do check out my fb page: facebook.com/playingmantisphilippines

Got a custom Ghost Rider bike on display there.

sweet christmas what a left jab !!!!! ;-)

ukmu 09-09-2014 07:05 AM

@Gilroy.... I would say there is a lot of interest. If you can make it, we have some of the GREATEST amateur and professional casters in the world right here. You could build the prototype and they could then make them cheaper and locally with higher quality resins and you guys could share the profit perhaps. Win win win for you, the caster and our collecting community!!!!

Doom's throne, Kang's chair, Hawkeye's Skycyle and about 300 other things!!!
