I imagine it was more so for them trying to find places where they fit. The Spider-Man stuff seems like its half Spidey, Half Marvel Knights. I wouldn't be surprised if Colleen Wing shows up in an upcoming wave as well as Jessica Jones

I also wouldn't mind seeing all of the Serpent Society showing up in the Cap Wave or as an SDCC set. I'd like a Black Mamba figure.

Also if anyone doesn't want to keep Beetle or Spider-Gwen, I will gladly buy them off you.

Spyne98 01-07-2016 06:59 AM

I really like the design of the Spider Gwen figure. The Ben Spider-Man and the Spider Carnage are awesome, probably my favorite from this wave. Overall it's a very strong wave. I think the weakest is Beetle, mostly because I just can't figure out a good pose for her. I'm not saying she's a bad figure, she's pretty cool, I just have no idea how I should pose her on my shelf.
I also can't wait until toy fair. I wish I could get into the Hasbro stuff to see it in person when I go, but I've been trying for years and I can never get in.

Oh yeah and a Captain Universe/ Uni Power/ Cosmic Spidey!!

I had a doppelganger figure from back in the day... i assume those are a rarity now. As far as sleepwalker and 90s darkhawk im all in. However i doubt sleepwalker will make it in legends form, i saw him last year in one Fantastoc four comic and thats it...

I'd like them to redo superior spider-man, his body is lame compared to these 3 new spideys.

Colder Soldier 01-07-2016 08:36 AM

The only difference between Superior and the new Spidey's is the slightly longer mid torso.

VonPooten 01-07-2016 10:16 AM

Doesn't Superior Spidey also have a larger hip gap for better thigh movement? Don't quote me on that one.

I must say whilst these new streamlined bodies are very pleasing aesthetically, the leg movement is shoddy on the teenage female buck and Spider-Man buck. The female buck especially just does not give adequate leg movement for those Spidey-esque poses.

Not sure about Superior, I'll have to check.

I agree with your point about the hips and Hasbro's newer female bucks. The female figs are too limited when compared to their male counterparts. It's a challenge to get them into natural looking poses while retaining some semblance of 'dynamic action.' Strangely, the voluptuous/thicker female bucks are actually more 'pose' friendly (greater range in the hips and they possess the extra articulation of a bicep swivel). Some tweaks are needed, especially for femmes known for their dexterity.

Superior has more a scrawny teenage boy body rather then the scarlet, sensational, and pizza spidey. at least to me they look very different.

My Morbius and Jack (I did go ahead and buy him) shipped from Amazon today. Sweet, as they were not supposed to be in until next week. Delivery is still showing the 20-22 but I'm guessing they'll be here by mid next week. Hoping we see the Captain America wave soon, can't wait to get my hands on that Mockingbird figure!

When the stars align.....LOVE happens!

...Oh, we're goin' out tonight, finger poppin'
You look outta sight, won't be no stoppin'
All the discotheques better be ready
We're gonna hit em hard, hard and heavy
Party strong, all night long, just you, girl, and me

You're my million dollar baby
My pretty sexy lady, oh
Oh, what a night for dancing
Oh, what a night for romancing

We're, we're gonna laugh and dance half the night away
We're gonna scream and shout while the music plays
Then around about two, tell you what I'm gonna do
Girl, I'm gonna take you home and stick plenty love to you
Let's get it on all night long, just you, girl, and me

You're my million dollar baby
My pretty sexy lady, oh
Oh, what a night, what a night for dancing
What a night, yeah, for romancing

Oh, oh, what a night, what a night for dancing
What a night, oh, what a night, for romancing

Oh, what a night, what a night for dancing
Oh, what a night, what a night for romancing
You're my million dollar baby
You're my pretty sexy lady

Oh, oh, what a night, what a night
What a night for dancing
Ooh, what a night, yeah, for romancing, ooh baby...

Dare I say, this might be the definitive Venom figure. I like it a lot more than any of the Spider-Man Classics Venoms and I don't own the Fearsome Foes Venom, but it looks better than that as well. Marvel Select is a different line entirely but I think I like the anatomy on that more while I like the overall look of this one better. It's a bit bulkier without being too roided out like most other Venom figures.

I like that they went with simple black and white. I don't need the blue highlights, just give me that regular black and white and let natural lightning do its thing.

Now they need to do another black costume spidey asap. that's one i most definitely need on the shelf.... last black costume spidey i have is from the old toy biz spider-man animated series line.

I agree. I mean, I do like the Rulk Wave Black Spidey, but the lack of ankle rocker really, really bugs me. Plus the new Spidey mold they created is perfect, and a black version of that Spidey would absolutely kill it.

It's nice to see great pics fill up the thread!

Edit:@Don

The new one is Sensational?

the other ben reilly costume, i could have sworn was called the sensational costume.

Now that i've got a little time to actually unbox all of them.

Moribus - looks good, but i thought he would have problems standing. so far so good he can stand on his own.

Jack O Lantern - great looking figure however as others complained, how the hell can he hold his accesories with open hands? also he does not want to stand on his own what so ever. i have to use a stand for him.

sensational spider-man/Ben Reilly - beautiful figure stands with ease !!

Beetle and speed demon i havent unboxed yet, i'll have more comments as i snap some photos.

I found the best way to get him to hold his items is to wedge his hand into the silver handle. His hands are soft enough that with a bit of effort, you can slide them right in and they'll stay. Looks kinda silly to have him with an open hand while holding an object, but it is functional.

Sorry...I was showing my age there and didn't realize that there might be some who were fortunate enough to miss out on (or completely forget) this family reunion and wedding dance craze from the 80's...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mOY2eWO2qw

It was either that or DJ Bobo thanks to the Morbius front and center...but I feared fewer people would get the DJ Bobo reference.

warmachine6 01-08-2016 12:27 AM

not all of us can be captain america ;)

Spyne98 01-08-2016 06:51 AM

I feel like I just watched Beetlejuice teach me the electric slide. I know the song, but I think that was the first time I have ever seen the video.
