I wish they would put that Storm in an upcoming wave, I really want one.

Argh, I waited too long to pre-order the Absorbing Man and the Australian place I order from has pre-sold out it, it's going to cost me another $100 to get it from America. Not sure I want them that much. Anyone have a Spider-gwen they want to part with?

SymbiSpidey 01-08-2016 09:27 PM

Yeah, we could really do for a new Storm figure, since many of us missed the one from the X-Men wave. First appearance or Jim Lee is preferable.

And why has it taken so long for us to get a Jim Lee Cyclops? The Bucky Cap mold is basically crying out for it.

Given the unaltered state of a BAF being an actual character, how would people like the X-Men BAF to be the Phoenix Force itself? Imagine a seven part fire bird which stands 1 foot tall and across, with an additional peg to attach the rumoured Phoenix figure.

Would anyone else buy something like that, or should anything that isn't a requested character be put on the sidelines?

I can see where that would be neat, but I don't know if it's something I would personally want.

That would be flipping insane.

Sign me up.

I have to agree with this. I would rather see never made characters but I would not turn my nose up at a white outfit Storm or a Jim Lee Cyclops. It's kind of sad that neither of these characters (in any form) are on the rumored X-wave list, as they actually would be new outfits of existing figures I would want.

I would personally love this and would throw my money at it with the power of one million exploding suns.

Lol I think it's a great idea and I too would throw money at it with the absurd, unfathomable, and obscene power of the Sentry!

Provided it's good quality (read not as lame as the new DC grapple gun) I would potentially be in for it too. Although the thought of buying lots of X figures when I am not a huge X fan is a bit daunting LOL.

warmachine6 01-09-2016 02:50 PM

i'd rather have a figure that i built , its a nice idea , just not for me

I Remember when BAF's were worth it. Sentinal, Apocalypse, Pitt, and Galactus. Huge Figures.

Rescue Pepper Potts Legend Figure finally came
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbjQjihAfto

lordbest 01-09-2016 10:20 PM

Her waist is way too thin, she would look completely deformed out of armour. Don't like her backside much either. I wish they could have just tweaked an existing Iron Man figure to give her slightly more feminine proportions and a helmet/bare head swap.

Edit: Good review though, thanks.

Dr Kain 01-09-2016 10:26 PM

What makes her Pepper? All I see is a Iron Woman. Does she have an alternate head to prove that she is Pepper? Why would Pepper even wear Tony's armor?

Kirathis 01-09-2016 10:42 PM

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not Dr. Kain. Pepper has her own suit. Rescue aka the Mark 1616. I know very little about it since I am not an Iron Man fan but I believe it was also apparently a rather sought after figure by Iron Man fans.

Dr Kain 01-10-2016 07:49 AM

Pepper is the secretary, so her toy should be of her in a business suit.

I think the wave (if true) has some characters needed though. Kitty Pryde was asking for a new legend. Havok and Rogue could go for new legends as well. Iceman, Cable, Wolverine and Deadpool are just wastes of perfectly good spots in a wave. Phoenix figures are always welcome, I was hoping to get an All-New Jean Grey though.

That said, I would give up getting any marvel legend for a year for that Dani Moonstar, even if she's on the old buck.

I do feel that some of the wave is going to be welcome and I'd even be fine with it being half to three fourths revamps or figures we've got in new costumes.

The way I see it, and this really is just me and where I stand with the figures in my collection. : The Rogue is a much needed retool. Kitty Pryde I'll be happy to get if it's her blue SHadowcat outfit. Modern Havok would be great. if Jean and Iceman are teen versions in their updated outfits I would get those. If WOlverine is Laurarine, I'd buy that. But if none of these are the case I'm likely not interested. And I don't see anything that could interest me in a new Cable and Deadpool. I just feel like this wave, if the rumors are true, messed up a chance to provide X-collectors with a couple of new figures by giving us an entire redo wave. I just don't see why they couldn't put in at least one brand new never done before character. I really REALLY do not feel that's asking for a lot.

Sorry, I realize I'm on a soapbox here, it's just very frustrating. I went from not expecting any X-figures due to the supposed embargo (excepting any randomly packed Deadpool or Logan Wolverine, which was the last thing I need in my collection) to joyous news of possibilities of maybe getting some long awaited figures, to rumors that the entire wave will offer longer-term collectors better figures of figures that we already have, and that is when I really have to question if it's worth spending the money on that. So if my rant is too repetitive, I'm really sorry, I just hope the rumors are partially wrong. It's just the more I think about it the more frustrated I get.

While everyone is discussing a new X wave, im curious why no one has thought about they're next X wave revolving around the deadpool movie.. im sure some people wouldnt mind a new deadpool as well as just other X characters.

I know i could use a deadpool considering i dont have one.

If you're open to owning opened figures there's likely someone who would sell you one if they have multiples from the various releases...just saying. ;)

Pepper was the secretary. She is now Rescue. It's in the comics and is a real (well medium-based real) thing. You've mentioned before - months ago - that you hadn't read Marvel comics recently. Not sure if that's changed or not. Regardless, if you haven't read them it doesn't invalidate that events going on in the comics as not happening.

Pepper is a character who fills multiple roles in both Tony Stark's lif and the comics as a whole, just as any well-rounded character would.

She's not just 'the secretary'.

I have read some stuff over the summer, but Pepper was not in any of it (and they turned Tony into a total unlikable douche). However, the point I was making is that they can make an Iron Woman toy and call it anybody they want. Without it having Pepper's actual head, it's just a generic toy in my book. Just look at Spider-Gwen for example. She would have been a worthless toy without the alternate Gwen head.

With the ANAD Marvel apparently Mary Jane is now in Tony's world. No sign of pepper... yet
