Captain Marvel up for Pre-o, I think she looks great, includes bomber jacket as well!

Grant C 02-27-2019 10:53 PM

The Brie Larson head is not the reason I would get this figure. The masked heads (especially the one with gitd eyes) are part of the strength of this figure.I think the expression on these heads are fine. The uniform looks great and the effects pieces are well done. Goose is a nice touch! Overall I think it's the best looking version of Capt. Marvel out there.

Agree, and I love the effects she comes with, I can deal with the somber head, but dont get why there is so much hating floating around it. I PREO'd instantly

Bo Ttef 02-28-2019 09:13 AM

it's not hate- it's just a bad sculpt. she looks bored. That's mostly acceptable on a $20 figure- but when you get into the Mez price range people should expect better.

firmpulse 03-08-2019 10:43 AM

Has anyone had any trouble with their red and gold Iron Man? The figure I received has one leg longer than the other. It appears the thigh isn't pushed up into the hip socket completely. It's my first Mezco 1/12. If this were an ML figure I'd just heat it up and try to pop it in. But I'm scared to death that if I mess with it it will crack. Besides. For 90 bucks I shouldn't have to mess with errors in quality control of this nature.

The thigh joint moves in and out of the hip socket to allow poseabilty. You can push it back up into the socket. Check out one of the many reviews online for this figure. You will see the hip joint feature demonstrated.

I am aware of that feature. Refer to the attached pic. As I stated in my original post that is the area in question.

The thigh connection drops down and goes back up horizontally to allow better movement in flight poses and such. The Armor hinders immensely when the thighs are in up position, drop them down and that should provide you a little wiggle room. Hope this helps.

My very first One:12 figure arrived today...

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7923/...c5a31d_k_d.jpg

Outside of expecting him to be a tad bit bigger (I thought he would be closer to the Storm Collectibles MK Ninja size) and wishing the eyes were a bit more recessed into the mask (the mask still feels small for part III) I'm VERY pleased with how this Jason turned out. The clothing is snug but doesn't affect the articulation all that much, and he can strike some great action poses. I'm sure someone will make a better mask for this in the future, but until then, I'm happy!

Good photos, Trivial. Jason seems to be the best all-around of the Horror-themed figures released. I hope Freddy turns out well, and I hope this bodes well for the Blue Alien and potential NADA figure from They Live.

I did not know that. Thank you! However, it's firmly in place. no up and down movement what-so-ever.

hmm, maybe try heating it up but be careful with it. In other news, anyone excited for Homecoming spidey tech suit, seems it should be here in under a week.

I pre-ordered one for my 13 yr old grandson. He's super stoked about finally getting this figure!

notoriouslyhigh 03-13-2019 09:40 AM

Looks like Blade will be dropping soon as well

Freekazoo 03-13-2019 10:19 AM

Great news on Spidey and the regular Blade release.

Blade will likely turn out great given the Toy Fair release, but Spidey is still a bit of a worry given the suit design. Hope it turns out well and they make Scarlet or 2099 in the near future.

Bout time...I have this guy on pre-order and I was kinda ticked that they dropped that Toy Fair exclusive from out of nowhere before they even got around to the release of the standard figure. Thankfully, I prefer the look of the standard release over the NYTF version.

Usually always works out like that for ToyFair Exclusives, just like last year with the Blacked out AK Bats as the TF exclusive right before the regular one dropped. Nonetheless I am excited for Blade as well!

Onyx SK Batman is shipping soon as well. I just received notice from Mezco.

Yep, they will be charging for it March 18th. Excited to get this one and hopefully that means the other 2 versions are close as well

That should be the case. I hope there is at least a bit of time between the Onyx release and the pre-order window for the 89 Batman so people can enjoy it a bit before they lose focus.

Thor Laserpunch 03-15-2019 02:59 PM

How long is it going to take them to get Logan out? He's just reused parts.

jwyss234 03-16-2019 07:42 PM

Someone just posted on the Fwoosh that they received an email from Mezco saying that preorders for the Onyx Knight Batman would start processing on the 18th.

For anyone that has missed an exclusive figure in the past, is it better to purchase one on eBay asap or give it some time?

Tough call. Orders were up for about 30 minutes. That's longer than the Spec Ops Punisher figure was, but this may be indicative of larger production run.

It's Batman. It's Exclusive. It's a color scheme and design combination that a lot of people seem to like.
If the Batman Day AK figure is anything to go by, a listing price of around or over $200 seems very likely after the first few weeks of scalpers selling. This could go up in smoke with the 89 planned for late this year, but one never knows with exclusives.

My recommendation, if you really want it: get it early if you can find it for a price around or below $150. It will only go up in the short term and be more expensive in the long run, as most exclusives are.

Grant C 03-16-2019 09:43 PM

I agree! I had a shot at a classic Punisher for $250 when he first came out. Regrettably I passed thinking it was too much. That figure now goes for at least $500! If I had it to do over I would gladly hand over the $250. Live & learn. If you really want it get it now while you can. Life's too short!
