At first I thought it was because the title and photos say Inhumans but the listing says it's the Avengers set. Then I saw the shipping. Poor guy forgot the decimal point. |
can anyone show a pic of the hadron gun rocket raccoon comes with in the hands of a marvel u or similar sized figure please. I have the little one that came with star lord in the mini 2 pcks but im wondering if the rr one just looks better for what I want. thanks

Still no news on MU Agent Venom?
|
Probably not ganna happen, and if it does, it's not going to be worth the money.

we'll probably get a 5 POA agent Venom in the ultimate spiderman line. Did anyone see the previews for next weeks USM episode? It's getting Disney-fied, with special guests from some live action tween Disney show called "Jessie". Last year we got Blade, Dracula, and the howling Commandos. this year some future failed singer turned drug addicted burn out. I'd pay good money to see Stan Lee dig up and beat Walt Disney's corpse... or is he in crio-freeze? I forget.

I dont think we will EVER see any figures with MU/MI level of pose En Sabah my friend. I fear those days are behind us.
According to the internet, Walt is buried and the whole cryogenic thing is a farse. I think he is an android working with robot Elvis at a chip shop in Northern England.... i have been wrong before. redX24, I am having issues uploading pics, but Rockets gun is well sized for just about anything. Think a Skrull gun but slightly taller.... just in.... Hasbro wont be at NYCC directly, but WILL be releasing a press statement this Wednesday night.... maybe some news or pics? Fingers crossed!!! Most likely just, wait for Toy Fair answers..... |

Ok I know this has been talked about before...(most likely by me) but does anyone have a comparison shot of the Marvel Legends Wendigo next to MU figures if so give a show.
Also for all you casting Guru"s is it possiable to cast a Wendigo about 4-4.5" tall using the Legends mold...Perhaps Vortimus or Kdub ? |

You could always take the same route toybiz did and just repaint the Sasquatch from the alpha flight set that is 5 inches |

The smaller and orangier one works best, in my opinion. It isn't as detailed, but some new paint REALLY makes the sculpt pop. Once brought out, I prefer the smaller one as far as sculpted detail go. That abdominal crunch joint takes away from the overall appearance in my opinion. Needs those little holes in the shoulders/upper pectoral area filled prior to painting though. I have not done it and most likely won't do it because I have no use for that team in our collection. I have, however, seen it done and it looks the business.

Good comparisons. While I like the ML Sasquatch the one from the 90's (I think?) was much more in iine with what the comic character looked like.
It's weird that we're halfway through completing Alpha Flight with the release of Northstar, though, and yet, we haven't even gotten one the figures the ML had. Personal opinion only here but I would love them to take some time to make a box set or two each of New Mutants, Alpha Flight, and Thunderbolts and call it a day on those particular teams. So much potential there and relatively small teams. |
Well looks like we are getting thunderstrike. I'll finally be able to get a miles morales spiderman too. I would have liked if vulture came with the articulated wings like that AA falcon but I'll still take the new MI one.

beast looks better every time we see him.
|
am i the only one that thinks they need to get all the builds they have planned with the old style figs out first cause when they release them together i just see what should have been, i see good fig (old style) and cartoony clunky figs (new style), god who knows i might get use to it, cause i see that sandman and im like i cant wait then i see the doc oct and vulture who i have wanted for sinister six set ups and im like EEHHH.....
this new style reminds me of the JLA line that DC put out and if i remember the chief reason that isnt around anymore (DRUM ROLE) was lack of articulation... also im pretty sure the change is cost driven and not consumer driven as they are trying to tell us with the story of the kid loosing a hand of his toy |
Looks like we will be getting the GotG treatment for AoU movie line. The 2.5" two packs and vehicles appear to be the new norm. Not very excited about MI wave 5 and 6. Great for Spider-Man fans, sort of anyway, and for the people dying to get Northstar. For me though, there isn't a thing in there I really want. Hashtag-disapointed.
Also I don't think that Cap and Hulk are 3.75" for a second...... |
Shanna looks … really basic. I need a custom with bare feet.
|
I kind of like the new figures. Aside from wrist articulation (which I really miss) and Dr. Ock (which looks somehow wrong) I am fine with all of them. In fact the shoulders on figures look more durable than before.
|
Good Morning all. So I just looked at the new proto's for Infinite and here are my thoughts.....
Shanna : Give us her classic look barefoot...wild woman look..I hate when they put her and Ka-Zar in damn fuzzy UGGS Thunderstrike: if your trying to complete the sad version of the Avengers roster your one character closer Vulture: Not bad, Can't really mess him up too much..He will fit in with the Sinister Six nicely Sandman: I actually am really looking forward to both versions of him and he's done in the classic style of MU Miles/Spiderman: This will be a help considering alot of us missed him the first time..Question is he shorter than the reg Spiderman ? Daredevil: NOOOOOOOOBOOOODY wants this version..Most of us try hard to forget the 90's Versions with Shoulderpads, spikes, guns you cant carry ,,alllthose pouches and characters with no feet. NorthStar: About damn time Colossanauht: No one cares ...gimmick was corny and GIVE US SKURGE WTF BEFORE YOU GIVE US THIS !!!! Doctor Ock: HMMMMMMMM Try really hard to get your hands on the SHS one and never look back Beast: EHHH i guess. if you want a classic look..please dont call him dark beast...this is him in the 60's before his fur turned blue All in all not doing cartwheels..its nice to see them but compared to the first waves this is ehhhh but not as bad as the last train wreck wave. They should really put out all the old figures with the articulation out in one wave then start fresh with the "cost Effective" stuff at one time |

All the figures definitely look great. I'll be skipping the spidey villians, but otherwise, most of those are ones I'd get. Be happy about Colossus. It means Emma and Skurge can't be far behind. Also really digging the rotate elbows. Seems like a cross blend of the two early MU bucks. The first Ironman of the line and Panther also used those. Seems to work much better with the double jointed knees though as opposed to the other knee type they used on the first MU waves. So overall, these still look like they fit the overall multiple articulation types used in MU and MI. Quote:
Really hope agent venom isn't far behind either. That'd be a perfect MI wave right there. Agent Venom, Emma Frost, and Skurge alongside Superior Spider-man. Throw in some side stuff to buff it out like Big Time Spider-man and some repacks of valkyrie, enchantress, and Cyclops, and it'd be perfect. (Well, besides doing the All-New X-Men all 6 members in their new costumes.) |

I agree that would be a great line-up |
I was quick to be upset with the "limited articulation" with the first photos from SDCC, but after looking at all the newbies I am freaking stoked. I think the only loss is the wrist rotation, which is a tough pill to swallow, but it is what it is.
Both Shanna and Vulture have great head sculpts so no complaints there. Barefoot vs. Uggs is a valid arguement, but I really like the fur detail on the boots they will make great customs for spiral and other furry boot wearing people. Doc Ock is a bit wierd with Absorbing man legs and Zemo arms, but hey at least he has wrists and finally we get some beefy tentacles. Thunderstrike is sporting that 90's style coat that would go perfectly on cyclops or a 90's style Havok. So yeah I'm pumped! |
