As a MOSC collector regarding the new line up of MI's. I'm pretty stoked..haha the advantages of being MOSC collector not having to worry about articulation and what not. The fact that there's a good assortment of new figures is great.

En Sabah Nerd 10-09-2014 02:03 PM

I'm pretty sure we're still getting blue angry-face Beast and regular color Sandman since those were at SDCC, maybe these variants are just so we can see them in person instead of the regulars again.

Ninjinister 10-09-2014 02:36 PM

D'aw those Age of Ultron figs aren't 3.75. I thought it was reported that they were.

Yes we are, going to suck though cause not sure how you can get those from HTS since that's where I've been getting my recent MI's. We'll probably never see these in stores for a while.

redfox 10-09-2014 04:01 PM

I love the Shanna figure, but I really wish she was barefoot. It's kinda her thing. Her headsculpt would also make for a good Madame Hydra with a little paint.

samsson37 10-09-2014 04:45 PM

Is i just me or does it seem weird we're getting a Shanna but no Kzar ?
she's going to be like Blade where do you put her ?

spade 10-09-2014 04:58 PM

I was hoping that barefoot Shanna would lead to a Tigra figure. Maybe bare feet would lead to a original savage she-hulk too. I can't think of any bareboat character besides namorita.

Agreed on the Shanna, but I keep my Blade with the British hero's due to MI:13 run. Could also go with new/old Mighty Avengers that just wrapped.

Blade's a street hero, whether he's fighting thugs or vampires it's almost always on the streets. Put him with Punisher and Moon Knight and you have the 3 guys who are willing to do what no other hero will, killing the bad guys that is.

kylactus 10-09-2014 07:02 PM

I put Blade with Doc Strange, and ghost rider. in the mystic category... unfortunately not one of the Mystic villains has (or probably will ever) be made.

I still don't really count him as a hero. He's been heroic at times, but I imagine him as a mercenary still, so anti-hero at best. Punisher, Moon Knight, and Blade fight evil and criminals with purpose and just happen to be sure about ending a fight, Deadpool does heroics to make himself feel better or seek approval from big-time heroes (namely Cap'n America) he has had genuine moments of selfless do-gooding, but still does odd-jobs for money with less than noble intent.

samsson37 10-10-2014 05:29 AM

I was thinking about finding one of these and use like a Deacon Frost type Vampire

Moon Knight's loaded (like Iron Man level rich) so technically he could pay Deadpool to fight for them. I know Punisher beat Deadpool by stalemating but then crashing a TV set onto Wade's head, and Moon Knight once literally cut him into pieces in an abandoned park mirror-house. Has Blade ever fought the crispy-faced Canadian? I imagine Blade would win since he has powers beyond healing.

Kernel 10-10-2014 09:39 PM

I find it really odd that they didn't paint Shanna's left eye. The hair doesn't cover it all the way and she looks like she is missing an eye and disfigured.
Anyone looking for a quick and dirty play set, diorama pieces, or horses/accessories may want to check out big lots. I went to 2 different locations and they had those 1/18 world peacekeeper toys. I need to pick up a 2nd horse for an aragorn and Pegasus.

honestly the only person that beats wade is wade, he has genius lvl intelligent (which to my knowledge no other anti-hero or gun for hire has). granted due to the tumors/healing factor his intellect comes out convoluted, random and just plain weird 100% of the time (sometimes this is a good thing), but others that have grasped this have used it to advantages results reed richards in the doom wars, nick fury in the skrull invasion and a few others.
in fighting deadpool it really seems to come down to 2 things where he is in his cycle of crazy and distractions, and if they are optimal then whom ever he is fighting will probably take the L.
he is the ultimate wild card and the only prediction you can make fighting him is you cant predict what and how he will do it

Squirrel Girl disagrees :)

ukmu 10-11-2014 07:02 AM

He totally got his ass handed to him by a girl with a fuzzy tail!

Need to start looking for parts to make her. I am 99.999879% positive that we count be seeing her anytime soon.

fosterlager 10-11-2014 08:58 AM

I'd love a Squirrel Girl

En Sabah Nerd 10-11-2014 11:18 AM

Since when is Wade a genius? The smartest I've ever read him was Joe Kelly's run, and there he was intelligent and quite fluent in multiple languages and weapon/martial skills, but nowhere near genius. Fantomex is a merc and is more scientifically and intellectually gifted than Wade, and he's an asshole (I like this character because of Remender, but it's technically part of his character that he's an asshole). Deadpool is (or was apparently) above average on intellect, but that's not gonna save him from getting beaten by a better opponent. Wolverine, Punisher, Moon Knight, Slayback, Hulk, Thor, Colossus, Iceman (AoA Iceman straight up killed him), Stryfe, Squirrel Girl, and some others have beaten him. Seriously though, Squirrel Girl has an amazing track record, she's beaten Wolverine, Doctor Doom, Thanos, Deadpool, Terrax, MODOK, and the Mandarin. Much respect there. Back to wade, to me a part of his character is that he doesn't always win and that he knows it.

Snowflakian 10-11-2014 12:04 PM

One thing you need to keep in mind with the vs. talk outright is that it's never about the character history or skill in question and always about the writer needs of the moment.

Who wins and who loses is always dictated by that because of story needs. Not because of actual character matchups.

Another thing to keep in mind, there is no perfect scenario either. As with any brawl, it can go any direction because of anything that's around or any random happenstance that pops up. And that's supposing that writer needs don't dictate outcomes. Considering the writer is what puts the happenstance in place though, that still comes back to writers dictating it based on needs of the story itself.
