^Those remind me of my old Scopedog and Takara Dougram toys from the 80s. Neat!

Yeah, i always thought they took inspiration from Zakus for especially Votoms Scopedog mecha designs in Votoms Anime and the Zaku pictures above really looks like intermediate specieses in evolution that like they are in the middle of this transtion from Zaku to Scopedog. :)

I guess Gundam is really the source, and I should have stated that the other way around. However, while I didn’t watch Gundam, nor Fang of the Sun, or Votoms, I did own Scopedog, Soltic, and Dougram dicast toys and the figures were my introduction to the mech designs.

Megas was one of those amazing shows CN prematurely canceled. There was a Sailor Moon parody episode that was fantastic. Bruce Campbell also voices a MODOK-type charcter.
