The 6" Black figures barely cost $20 in my area.

DarthNexus 06-27-2014 04:10 PM

neeson you can barely find storms anywhere in stores here, and anywhere else from what I've heard

Ah, well yeah. I suppose you're right. I did see a few Tatooine Stormtroopers several times over the last couple months, but Stormtroopers have never really grabbed my interest. It was until about a week ago that I found Bespin Luke and snatched him up right away.

When RotJ Luke is released, I am also going to buy the hell out of him.
And if there's a Speederbike Leia or Bespin jumpsuit Leia, I'm going to buy the hell out of those too.

i know what you mean, i have about 7 sand troopers and 7 clones on pre order I'm going to make into clones (probably 501st commander Wolffe, and Cody, Waxer, and Boyle). I also have Boba, Luke, and Darth Maul. This is easily my favorite toy line ever produced and I plan on collecting every character xD

Optimus Neeson 06-27-2014 06:03 PM

I also had every intention of buying Yoda until I saw that Hasbro decided to give him hair. While it's true he has hair in ESB and ROTJ, it's so thin and he's balding so severely that it's hardly visible on film. The 6" scale toy would have looked a lot more accurate with no sculpted hair at all.

Dr Kain 06-27-2014 08:13 PM

Anyone got good shots of that RotJ Luke that is out? I'm debating on whether or not I want to get him and Vader or just say **** it all together.

I agree the Yoda fig might be the least impressive one of the bunch. I am excited for the tie fighter pilots and speeder bikes, and since the bikes say wave one of deluxe figs I'm hoping there are more vehicles and stuff in store :D

They better not make a 6" scale X-wing, because my wallet won't be able to handle it.

pfft!! if they make a 6" scale Slave-1, I'll be all over that mess lol

as far as 6" black series figures.....I hope they do some Expanded Universe stuff like Mara Jade and Old Republic figures that I missed out on in the VC series

Phantomcrow 06-28-2014 07:26 AM

I think they said Bossk is coming, and the bounty hunters are fine, but I do not expect to see much outside of the all stars for the 6 inch black line. I am kinda fine with this idea. With only a few figures a year I am good with sticking to main characters. I really want Count Dooku and General Grievous , but I will be suprised to see Asajj or Rex or any characters that were not "on film". Right now all I want is Bespin Lando with cape to be announced.

He's not?

Anyway, thanks, but prototype shots don't interest me because look at Han, for example. He looked great in the prototype, but the actual toy's head looks down right dreadful.

Well clone Wars IS cannon isn't it? I wouldn't be too surprised… That's why I'm reallyyyyy putting off my clone customs because I don't wanna do a custom that'll get made later but it's getting harder not to every day xD
I guess it gives me motive to make em so good that the ones released pale in comparison xD

Optimus Neeson 06-28-2014 02:45 PM

I just saw a Sandtrooper today at ToysRUs.

True enough.
Btw, can you show me comparison shots of the prototype Han and the factory Han? I'm not saying you're wrong, since I never pay attention to Han Solo toys, but you got me curious about what went wrong.

RotJ Luke is slated for August.

saw this at Hastings today! 7" game of thrones replica! do you think it will fit the 6" black series or the Figma link figure(?)

DarthNexus 06-28-2014 06:05 PM

maybeeee, how much was it and if you get it tell me how it performs. I could paint that and use it for the Emperor's throne!

No I can't because I don't have him. I am not a SW collector at all, but I am considering possibly getting Vader and Jedi Luke.

And the prototype could just have been from the way the picture was taken, but the nose on the actual toy looks hideous. The same goes for the Leia figure they did.

Ok math time. you guys were talking about 6" SW Black figure vehicles. In human scale the X-wing is just under 13 meters long or 39 feet. Doing some research the average human laying down is 1.77 meters(5'10"). To make it simple lets round up to 2 meters, or 6 feet. this makes the x-sing 6.5 times longer than a human laying down. The X-wing wingspan is 10.9 meters.

if 6"=6'
then
39'= ~3.25 ft. that is how long the 6" scale x wing would be. The wingspan would be roughly 2.5'.

so what you are saying is that if I wanted vehicles for the 6 inch figures I will damn near need a warehouse to set up a display as each vehicle takes up roughly 2-3 feet of space. Not enough room to do that but it would be cool if we all could....
thanks for the insight

bmorr 06-29-2014 06:14 AM

i can do more calculations for other ships if you want. im bored. but just remember any of these "smaller" ships will still be dwarfed by the uss flagg toy/playset which was 91" long.

yea i feel ya on that! maybe $30-40 tho imo! but Hastings is kinda high dollar on their shit lol

Falconhood 06-29-2014 07:37 AM

I seriously think a 6" scale vehicle line would be a WRONG direction for Hasbro...they barely put anything out for their 1:18 scale line as it is, and when was the last time we got a play set?
