@ukmu too are you guys gonna use these as shield agents? I thought about removing the trench coat and doing that, still would need to paint the sleeves tho and add another head.

Thats my plan so if you can get any id be very much appreciated.

sort of like this
I am actually painting the body black and keeping the bits white. I decided to go black and white that is why I got rid of the 3 pack SHIELD troops. All to match Maria Hill really.... these are not figures, just sharing the idea.

https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/...6e&oe=54F5026C

I did play with the idea of painting them all black and even thinking of getting a GI joe figure in sort of gear..

ukmu 11-06-2014 03:22 AM

i was sick of having some blue and some black. And also because I love Maria Hill SO much, thought I would make them match her. I got rid of all my remaining SHIELD 3 pack troops (had an accident last Christmas and 9 of them were thrown away by accident) and made customs from China bay Moonknights, cast heads and wepons and harnesses from Vort and K Dub.

I still had 4 of the 3 pack troops as Jasper Sitwell, Clay Quatermain, Jimmy Woo and Gabe Jones. I had gotten the AA blue Nick and head swapped with Samuel L Jackson movie figure. They are the same body except for the paint apps.I painted the blue to black and LOVED the way the white trim and boots worked. I recently decided to do the 4 officers the same.....maybe a few more even. Blue to black isnt too hard but making the black into white (boots) is a talent i do not posses.

Also i use Aurora bodies for female agents... i only have one so far, but plan on a few more. Again she already has white gloves and boots so a slight touch up and she is good to go.

I miss multipacks. :(

I wouldn't be surprised if they do Red Onslaught or Onslaught, that the other isn't done as a variant. As you pointed out, it's only a head swap. And really, maybe even not much of one. It's pretty much Magneto's head or ghost rider's head. So the head tooling kind of already exists anyway.

Kind of, Onslaught's helmet is smoother and taller than Magneto's and lacks that wing-crest thing on the forehead, and it would be an up-sized Red Skull head over a Ghost Rider head. If the line even continues we'd maybe see one, chances don't look so great.

Im heading there tomorrow and I plan to get all that I can find. I really want a black widow, but I would be happy with a bunch of Fury's too.

Thank goodness I finally got some hydra troopers otherwise I'd be so jealous.
@ colonel bludd and pilkster welcome to the ark! I'm loving all these pics. Kernel has to ask what did you use as a Peter Parker head colonel?
Ukmu you get the heads cast in white? What's the flesh paint?

kylactus 11-06-2014 11:13 PM

sooo.......is anyone else about to go f***ing crazy waiting for new product! if we were drug addicts we would have either died of withdrawals, or sobered up and gone back to community college by now! Hasbro, let me make it clear, we have money, we would like to, in exchange for new MI figures, give it to you! do you not want our money any more!?! I have literally collected the entire Nickelodeon TMNT series waiting for you guys to give me some MI love! for god sake you hold the license to the largest multimedia juggernaut in human history! DO SOMETHING!!! thus endith the rant.

ukmu 11-06-2014 11:51 PM

^^^^^

Time to army build, buy stands and flight stands, upgrade characters to the rarer more expensive figures you avoided, customize or commission a custom, fill in gaps in the collection.

Any one or even all is a great thing as we all need at least two or three things from the above mentioned. If you have nice stands and loads of flight stands, don't army build, have all the customs you want or need, already have the posh version of the figures, and have no gaps to fill.....try taking up needle point. A wonderful hobby and maybe knit your mum some doylies for Christmas. ;)

It is fun when the waves come fast as lightning like they did back in the summer months. Now is the time the slow calm winter begins. It isn't pleasant, but it is happening. Just got to wait it out I suppose..... I know we all hate the waiting like Tom Petty said.

Keep Calm
And
Army Build
HYDRA

@kernel....i get my casts from vort and got a few shiels troop heads (both in flesh...caucasian, african, then inbetween those for a little racial variety)and weapons from K-dub....those army pics are not mine, i grabbed from the world wide web on the book of faces.

I am eagerly awaiting Bishop wave so that I can actually have a complete early 90's X-Men line up. I do want other figures from that wave but he will definitely be the one I spend more on to get faster.

It really sucks having this dry spell. Star Wars is complete crap now so I don't even collect those, and ML there's only one thing out right now. So literally, there is just that one thing I'm looking for. The good side to that though is I'm not really spending the money, but given I have a small amount for collectibles budgeted in monthly I'd rather be spending that on something.

samsson37 11-07-2014 08:47 AM

I agree with everyone on here..this drought is lame...but like other said "its time to fill in gaps"
Needs:
Maria Hill
Nebula
Tony Stark ( Hall of Armor)
Red She-Hulk
Need Commissioned:
Coulson
Purpleman (vort for this)
Powerman-Master of evil repaint(from Kdub)
Spy master(from Kdub eventually)

Even when 2015 hits, it still a matter when they'll be able to put out to purchase. Brick N Mortar obviously is playing catch up if anything, we'll probably end up getting these from online.

fosterlager 11-07-2014 09:13 AM

I've got a backlog of carded MU to open of around 50 figures plus. I'm good as far as the wait haha

Yup, if most stores are still carrying just wave 1 if anything, from 8 months back, there's no telling when the upcoming waves would actually hit retail, if ever. For me, MI is dead at retail, it's all either purchases at LCS or online.

Snowflakian 11-07-2014 10:21 AM

Targets in my area seem to be getting the GOTG wave now. So the holiday season may go through the backlog pretty fast to catch things up.

A rebranding if they do plan on re-launching the line with Marvel's secret wars event would also mean skipping over any backlog.

Personally, I'm probably going to resort to ebay later to pick up what I'm missing, but I'm waiting on some debts to be paid back first so I have the money to spend.

That sounds like it could be some dark shit.
At this point I just wait for new stuff to show up and pick it up if it does, they haven't revealed any figure that I'm really stoked for. Sadly this means the only Infinite wave I've gotten any figures from is the first. Yeah I'd like Death's Head and Deathlok, but I'm also okay if I don't get have them.

Not so dark. Loaned some money to a friend and he hasn't paid it back yet, and waiting for some other outlying stuff to be paid for finally too.

I saw deaths head at target the other day. Almost got him, but decided to pass on it for now. Mostly I'm looking for Ant-Man, Red She-Hulk, North Star and Cyclops. Maybe Deathlok if I see him at retail at some point. Well, that's besides the transformers generations stuff I want.

I don't think it bodes well that Target skipped waves 2 & 3(Ant-Man, Red She-Hulk, Deathlok & Cyclops). I thought I saw some sightings of wave 4 at TRU too? So it looks as if brick & mortar has skipped the good waves.
