kylactus 11-14-2014 01:26 PM

awesome find! I meant to put up pics of the difference in mine, but my wife stole my SD card to take Halloween pics, and my pics really looked about the same. it's one of those subtle differences that doesn't stand out on film like it dose in person. now here's the kicker Raf, I've run across a couple guys that that think this difference has also occurred in the MI release (dark and light also being on the MI card). good shots on the side profile! I can really tell the difference in the metal sideburns.

Yes, good call man! I'm sure it's on the MI line too, the good thing is MI is easier and cheaper to find at the moment.

The out of your mind store called..... they are running low on you two!!!! ;)

Naw... it is cool that you are documenting this line so completely. Also, being written here leaves a permanent digital copy for all. maybe 50 years from now the content of THIS thread will be used for research for a book.

You are still crazy, but i love you for it!!!! And now, you have a protege.... heaven help us!!!

kylactus 11-15-2014 03:11 PM

Ha! I'm picturing an elderly Raf, sitting in a rest home in his wheel chair with a blanket over his legs rattling off production codes into some guys tape recorder. then pulling out a small cedar box containing white shirt Luke and the Widow twins.

lmao...

jedirulz123 11-15-2014 06:38 PM

He's silently thinking about those Visions he had, and how he lost his legs trying to fight a guy off for them in 2016 after everyone gave up hope on an Age Of Ultron 3.75 line lol

Hey everyone, I just recently joined here but have been collecting marvel universe figures off and on for the past few years. I have been trying to track down the newer stuff and was wondering if the new infinite yellow jacket, beta Ray, and captain rogers figures coming out in the infinite line were the exact same figures that came out in the marvel universe line a couple years back as mine are somewhere in storage?

As far as I can tell, yes.

kylactus 11-15-2014 09:25 PM

Steve is a different color blue and a different shade of red on the striping, Yellow jacket is actually yellow instead of the gold color in the Universe release, plus he does not come with a mini ant man. Beta Ray bill is exactly the same. but structurally they're the same molds so unless you're a compleationist it's probably not worth it to re-buy them.

Thanks so much for the info. I mostly collect transformers and gi joe and with adding more of the 3.75 marvel figures in the mix I try not to rebuy and save money when I can. Picked up a black widow, falcon, nick fury, and leader figures from ross today. Glad to finally see them in stores.

ChuckSass 11-15-2014 09:52 PM

By chance anyone have an extra sif or enchantress laying around. I read secret wars and enchantress was hilarious, and now I'd like to add her to the collection.

Nice score I was hoping to get Thor, Hawkeye, Nick Fury and Leader but bothy local 5 bellows only had Caps, Falcons, Hulks, and Iron Man.

I have not seen AA cap, IM, or hulk. I'm looking for a hulk for those rocker ankles. I picked up a thor today at Ross. So far I've seen AA hawkeye, thor, falcon, fury, leader, and black widow. I love the BW figure, found one at Ross for $5 and the paint was good. I miss good sculpts and well articulated 3.75" stuff.

ukmu 11-16-2014 01:28 AM

I think the new YELLOW Yellow Jacket is a must have.

I need 2 of the AA Fury's so bad...... and a Doom.

I have a Sif for you Chuck.....

samsson37 11-16-2014 07:55 AM

Hey guys I wanted to share this with you. Now anyone in there 30's and above may have stumbled across this in there moms mags..others may have have heard about it...but i would love to see if anyone would ever attempt to make this damn thing in MU scale...The funny thing about this is as a kid I thought I'd get a huge box with the parts..instead you get a huge ass manilla envelope with blueprints like you stole it from the pentagon lol..well enjoy
Comics 101: Scott Tipton's Comics 101

kylactus 11-16-2014 10:05 AM

^ that's awesome! I'd make it out of wood though, cardboard seems.... a bit flimsy. I could see incorporating some magnets to get the same effect as the Velcro. Those pics are hilarious! it looks like Hulk is taking a dump on the doorway. Ya know this really illustrates the decline of society! 80's moms were cranking out functional scale mego cities between vacuuming, cooking, and watching the Berlin Wall topple. Now days I can't get my wife to get off Face Book for five minutes and change a light bulb! Damn you internet!!!!!

Autobot_Goldbug 11-16-2014 08:33 PM

Cool! I think I saw this before. I bet one could make them out of balsa wood too. Isn't that what they use for doll houses?
He doesn't even post all the blueprints. :(

Those look great man! I especially like that Gambit! it's head and shoulders above anything we got from Hasbro.

I've got a question for everyone, where are you guys displaying Deaths Head? I'm not super familiar with him in the Marvel spectrum, also did any of you Transformers guys get him for the TF factor or even Dr. Who?

ukmu 11-17-2014 11:59 PM

my son just said....DRAGONMAN????!!!???

also...LOVE the ice shot!
that Crossbones upgrade is PERFECT (who has been confirmed for Cap 3 movie)
Ronan has a great head sculpt...
and that Agent Venom....perfection!
and lastly...what Hulk is THAT?!?!

I do not know who the bottom guy is.....

samsson37 11-18-2014 06:39 AM

Thanks, there are a lot of talented customizers out there that show what could of been with this line, Hasbro decided to run it into the ground instead.

Yeah the two that Hasbro made are underwhelming. The Emo hair on the two pack version looks awful. And the XMO version was also not very good, and they never bothered to give him articulated wrists or include some kind of card accessory.

It's the Edward Norton movie line "Super Articulated Hulk" with an Avengers light up base Hulk head, and original MU hulk forearms and hands.

The last Figure is Sunspot, before they made him a new mutant or young xmen or whatever retconed BS they came up with. He was actually in the Days of Future Past movie.

The guy I had make it did a killer job, I didn't expect him to sculpt the tshirt on but it really ended up looking amazing.
