Stopped at TRU...as I suspected, nothing past Rhino wave. It takes a while for Middle TN to get them in, but when they do....they are all over the place and practically jumping off the shelf (this has been the trend since maybe after the first year of ROML, minus any rarer figure of course)

Yeah, there are some gangsta rappers who I've enjoyed. I was young and hadn't grasped the inherent danger that this type of rap represented to the community and youthful impressionable minds. The gangta rappers I listened to tended to be on the East Coast....Kool G Rap, Jadakiss, Styles P, Black Moon, Smif n Wessun (couple of songs), Mobb Deep. Eventually, I moved on...as you get older it becomes harder to reconcile your support of music that glorifies lifestyles/attitudes you don't agree with and work to combat. The era of music that Dark and I were referring to had many more voices than are enjoyed today...it's a shame. Like Dark said, there was more fun to be had and variety.

This here is the reason why I have basically moved onto Tech N9ne. He's still "Gangsta Rap" but his music doesn't glorify the crap that the old stuff does... he's now technically considered "Horrorcore" his music is more of a scary/horror movie rather than gangsta rap. He's got plenty of lyrics and even has stuff that's more... touching? or should I say meaningful but in the style of gangsta rap. Anyways, I've been a fan of Old school Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, Twista, Tech N9ne, and Hopsin, almost all of is Mid-West rap. I just couldn't let this conversation go on without mentioning my preference..

I really hope that list for the X-Men wave is wrong. They need to do a good X-23 on the Jubilee buck loooooooooong before they consider making Laura in her Wolverine costume. Plus they need to keep the normal Wolverine supply steady, the Puck wave Wolverine is getting expensive and they botched the last one by making it him with his hood down. Needs to be astonishing with the hood up and the X-Men symbol on it or needs to be a new brown suit Wolverine. The other figures on that list I'm ok with.

Erland 01-29-2016 08:31 PM

I just want a movie deadpool for my movie collection.. that and a movie Yellowjacket.. why didn't they put one of those out?

Im honestly not too happy with Will smith these days... as for music wise, he was decent to say the least. besides getting jiggy with it and the Miami song that's about it for me. Oh and the freddy krueger song.

Lets talk 90s rap and i can think of tons of artists i followed and loved. Todays rap is horrible and i feel the genre has went down the drain. Around 2007 or 2008 i made the switch to rock.

2016 X-Men Legends Wave Revealed?!? - - MarvelousNews.com

I hope so, now if they would just give the wave a Sentinel/Cerebra BAF. If it is All New Wolverine that would make 4/8 characters female which is kind of amazing.

Starlord67 01-29-2016 09:39 PM

I'm hoping the X-men wave is legit! The Kitty Pryde could use the unreleased Pepper Potts head and an updated Havok is a must. I'm just hoping Phoenix is a nice head sculpt not just a repainted Moonstone.

Captain Nash 01-29-2016 10:06 PM

Gotta say I'm a little surprised at the amount of support for a wave that is rumored to be a 100% complete redo of characters that already exist in some form. Maybe that's what fans want. Maybe we'll get really lucky and Hasbro will get the message and keep remaking figures and we'll never get another brand new character again.

Oh well if that happens at least my wallet will thank me.

lordbest 01-29-2016 10:22 PM

There hasn't been a Laura Kinney Marvel Legends has there?

Yeah, it says "Marvel's Demolition Man" on the back of the package.

If it is, I'm out. I only care about the 90s versions of Jean, Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Rogue, Gambit, Prof X, Magneto, and a BAF Apocalypse.

Maybe a 90s Archangel, but those are it.

Not sure what you're seeing but I'ts basically the exact same costume from the cartoon. You can even watch this youtube clip of his fight with Spidey. It is accurate.

Okay, now it does. The picture I saw earlier didn't have the guns on his outfit like it does in that clip. Kind of lame that they chose to make a cartoon version of a character for an adult collector's line.

donmeca2020 01-29-2016 11:36 PM

After looking at that link for the X wave, im kind of underwhelmed... I'm curious which versions of these characters will be released.

Look, I want them to make every new character that's never gotten a figure ever. Hell, I'd love to buy a Forbush Man! But I'd also like some nice, quality figures that are (personal preference) better than the Toy Biz versions, and/or don't break the friggin' bank to buy. It's not a crime to want new versions of old characters. You obviously don't, and that's fine too. Let's move on, eh?

That implies that 1)only adults collect this line of toys, and 2)adults don't care about animated series (which is incredibly untrue). Honestly, I'd rather have a wholly Udon-inspired figure rather than just an alt head, but it's still Taskmaster. I'll live.

Man...I wish the paint job on the black version of that figure came out that good when it released. I still have that figure, and ugly hip joints or not, if it would have looked like the production shot, I would have had no desire for another one. Instead...we got the head on that purple version, and a super glossy black finish to the clothing with baby blue highlights...

I have thought of making a custom using a head from WWE Diva Paige. I think she's pretty much a perfect match for Laura...

lordbest 01-30-2016 01:22 AM

Yeah, I think an update would be nice.

If the actual figure looked 50% like that, everyone would be fine with it. Same goes for the Sentinel series Mystique prototype!

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely not a crime to want new versions of figures, I want some myself...and I'm glad for those people who do want new versions of these characters are getting them. But I think there's a difference in expecting an entire wave of 8 figures to be all new (which I never did) and having none of the 8 figures be new. I figured at most we'd get 2 new figures. But none is kind of a slap in the face to those collectors who have been doing this for a while. I am just afraid if the support for an "all redo" wave is so great, we won't get any new figures....that's all.

Nothing personal intended, you seem like a well spoken and likable person. For those who want them, continue to ask for redo figures, that is totally your right. But I will continue to also push for brand new figures, as is mine (as you point out). Maybe not as sarcastically as my comment above, but sometimes it takes a push to get a shove (or something)

Not only that, but it's the look in Iron Man and Captain America: Heroes United as well, including the Udon head. I also want to say one of the mobile games uses that costume as well.

i think gambit would be cool, and would like a re-booted figure.
though if he gets film next year then possibly best to wait till then
I think there were rumors for an x-force film or something which i don't think has been 100% confirmed
it seems hasbro's rule might be if there is 2 good looking films then release x-waves. Avengers is more different being more bigger, though if x-men were treated like avengers this year , with maybe 2 avenger waves , and 3 x-men waves , which could be the case civil war gets 2 waves one BAF which is x-men related, then maybe another one [but who?] . 2017 seems to be jammed with MCU characters . So hasbro if your reading this though unlikely this year get all of your x-men characters out there , via EE, [no 3 packs!! at least like the guardians one] no exclusives so everyone can get one even though EE is kinda but comic stores manages to get their hands on them.

yeah I think the whole X-Force film is a huge question mark. There have been so many rumors ...will they or won't they. There's the Gambit film in 2016/2017 - I'm guessing 2017 as I don't see how they can be done with it by it's initial release date at this point, a Wolverine movie 2017, and something in 2018 -is that the New Mutants movie or the X-Force movie?

We may get a wave for the Wolverine movie, and I'd think the next wave we would get after that would be for the 2018 movie. I can't see X-men getting more than one wave a year, but if they did it would be a pleasant surprise.

What makes Taskmaster so special? I've never read a comic that featured him as the villain and none of the Marvel cards from the 90s I own feature him (nor did the ones I got rid of like the Masterpiece series).

If you had a Jeffery Jones in safari outfit with all these on a wall that'd be hilarious.

His miniseries, and his appearances in Agent X and Deadpool, for starters. That's at least what made me enjoy the character - before that he was barely a blip on my radar. (When I was younger, I thought he was some weird Dr. Doom/Red Skull hybrid)

Also, his powerset and what he does with it really puts him in a category of his own.
