So, has everyone seen the front page news for the Giant (Ant) Man BAF wave yet? I honestly think I'll only need Nuke, Fury and Red Guardian. I may not even bother with the BAF since it looks like it's just a big Ant Man.

Just saw it on Fwoosh and will check out the front page here in a bit.

SOOOO glad we got a better classic Fury finally. Hopefully on the GR body.

Red Guardian is great and Nuke is cool, so glad to add them to the rosters but I also think BP is going to be great custom fodder and such.

Couldn't care less about the BAF choice except as maybe an alternate reality type counterpart. Wondering just how tall he is going to be.

Spyne98 02-01-2016 11:50 AM

I'm loving the classic Fury because now I can put a SHIELD agent head on the 2 pack figure from a few years ago and have another SHIELD agent to display.

TheBlueMarvel 02-01-2016 11:53 AM

Strange hodge-podge line...I only really want King Cobra (now where's that Mr Hyde to compliment, Hasbro?)...

RANDOM: About FWOOSH...sometimes, I can't shake the feeling that they mine this thread's sidebar convos for front page articles...I know fans bounce back and forth, I'm an example of someone who does this and I've seen many people from here over there...but I'm noticing parallels between off topic discussions that take place specifically on this thread showing up as front page material for their site...meh, maybe I'm seeing connections that have no real relationship to one another.

SymbiSpidey 02-01-2016 11:55 AM

Don't know how to feel about this wave. Nuke, Black Panther and Nick Fury are probably must haves. Red Guardian is a maybe. I have absolutely zero interest in getting another Captain America or Iron-Man figure. Movie Giant-Man BAF is ehh, would have preferred a comic Giant-Man that wasn't on the crappy body they had for the SDCC set but I understand why they didn't go that route.

Although inevitably I end up getting the entire wave regardless, so I'll see.

TheBlueMarvel 02-01-2016 12:06 PM

Of course, Captain Britain is also a want...

"more Marvel Legends in one year than ever before..."

warmachine6 02-01-2016 12:16 PM

Captain Britain !!!! :D hoping its the Revolutionary war costume
Now just need the rest of M.I.13
Edit: hmm no falcon or Winter Solider figure strange o.O the GM BAF seems a bit cheap,
for me its just Iron Skull , it's another red-skull head , though might be the same as the WS one. Varying on the costume Captain Britain. Oh maybe crossbones , though he might be the movie one , if not i shall get him , SDCC one / Hasbro oldest one is pricey
I'm happy with the Toy-biz Giant-man, not even bothered about it being the classic look ,plus its not a Blown-up ant-man figure

Boy Blunder 02-01-2016 12:29 PM

As I said in the front page thread, this is gonna be a 'take it easy' wave for me, especially after the Red Onslaught and X-Men waves. MCU T'Challa and Wanda are the only for-sure buys, with Crossbones (if he's MCU) and maybe Captain Britain also on the list... and Tigra, if she's good (which, given the low bar the last one set, won't be hard).

Still hoping that one of the three 'codenamed' figures turns out to be MCU Quicksilver. Hey, a guy can dream, right?

IMO that head is way too small. But there are tons of other heads that have nothing to do with SHIELD figures that could work. One that I already have on a spare TB Fury that is getting ported over is the movie Reed Richards. Another that can work well is the Ronin Barton head. I am probably forgetting many other older ones. An Amazon 4-pack Hawkeye head could work great, as would Banner from that set too.

Damn, now I need to grab one of that 4-pack.

I think it's more a case of the leak being disseminated to more than one site at the same time, but maybe over here the page is published slightly before they do theirs.

Yeah, there are some gangsta rappers who I've enjoyed. I was young and hadn't grasped the inherent danger that this type of rap represented to the community and youthful impressionable minds. The gangta rappers I listened to tended to be on the East Coast....Kool G Rap, Jadakiss, Styles P, Black Moon, Smif n Wessun (couple of songs), Mobb Deep. Eventually, I moved on...as you get older it becomes harder to reconcile your support of music that glorifies lifestyles/attitudes you don't agree with and work to combat. The era of music that Dark and I were referring to had many more voices than are enjoyed today...it's a shame. Like Dark said, there was more fun to be had and variety.

Lets talk 90s rap and i can think of tons of artists i followed and loved. Todays rap is horrible and i feel the genre has went down the drain. Around 2007 or 2008 i made the switch to rock.

There's the Gambit film in 2016/2017 - I'm guessing 2017 as I don't see how they can be done with it by it's initial release date at this point, a Wolverine movie 2017, and something in 2018 -is that the New Mutants movie or the X-Force movie?

We may get a wave for the Wolverine movie, and I'd think the next wave we would get after that would be for the 2018 movie. I can't see X-men getting more than one wave a year, but if they did it would be a pleasant surprise.

I hope they do an X-Force movie would be sweet.

TheBlueMarvel 02-01-2016 12:38 PM

@Squeeze

I'm not referring to today's leaked info at all. They often do random pieces on complimentary comic culture and some of the themes run eerily parallel to sidebars held here that aren't even a week old...

Byrnes 02-01-2016 01:00 PM

Might get Red Guardian, maybe Crossbones. Probably a pass on most of this wave. I say that now, hehe.

deadironpoolman 02-01-2016 01:04 PM

I'm so angry at Hasbro... like seriously? you have just proven to us that you can get the ant man mcu head right by making it on giant man but you couldn't do that for ant man.... just bitter I guess....

VonPooten 02-01-2016 01:12 PM

.... Nyeh. Multiple Furys for S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, possibly Nuke and T'Challa. That's about it for this wave. It's not a very strong one, which could have benefited HUGELY by adding a comic Black Widow on the Wasp buck, or Sin.

hasbroherofan 02-01-2016 01:20 PM

So is MCU Scarlet Witch part of this wave or not? She's mentioned on that listing but not seen on the pic with the BAF.

This wave is tough for me. I want the MCU Giant-Man Build-a-Figure but I'm really only interested in Black Panther and Crossbones. No interest in another Iron Man or another repainted Cap. And how the heck did Red Guardian get a Legends figure but not Falcon or Vision?

Wasn't the "movie" Ant-Man basically just his Avengers cartoon design?

Lol...take it as a little reminder that the movie is just around the corner! That's all, lol.

hmm... I never knew that. After a little google research I guess you're right. That's insane. I don't watch the cartoon so I had no clue

Talk about being unprepared for your own big event. Then again, DC pulled the same garbage with Forever Evil. Seriously, if you can't stay on schedule, DON'T DO A BIG EVENT!!

without spoiling it for you, i'll say the last issue of SW was decent..... i expected better but it was ok i guess.

Definitely better then the whole DC event convergence, that had started last year around the same time.

Yup. They used the same design for the Titan Hero too.

I have literally no idea why. Maybe there was some confusion behind the scenes since the two designs do look similar sans the helmets.

SymbiSpidey 02-01-2016 02:17 PM

Coincidentally, I ordered Luke Cage in such a way where he'd arrive in my hands on the first day of Black History Month. So in honor of the month, I bring this:

Though I am excited to see Nuke,Black Panther and Red Guardian(I really thought this was a female character who ran with the defenders for a time) this wave does not really grab me...with that said I will probably get the whole wave and sell off or trade the BAF. I was hoping for a movie version Falcon, Vision and Scarlet Witch!

hmm that oddly makes me feel a little bit better, I thought Hasbro was just free forming designs however they choose LOL

I guess now we know that that Ant-Man figure is accurate to...something....even though it's an outfit that apparently none of us knew of lol
