Storm collectibles needs to hurry up and release some other figures. I would love a Blanka in their line. I just can't get on board with the figuarts faces on these.

Interesting - was never really a SF fan (always preferred MK), but the few times I did play, I always chose Blanka. Hoping he looks like the classic SF2 version and not the SFV version, which IMO, looks terrible

So So disappointed in with Storm Collectibles, I guess they are too busy doing more and more repaints. S.H Figuarts is kicking their butts big time. They need to stop repainting everything and get onto making new figures. The new Chun Li isn't even fun. I'm totally gonna get this guy. I love Blanka, Bison and Ryu. I wonder if the SOTA stuff will drop in price now. I bet by the time Storm Collectibles releases their Blanka Street Figher 6 will be released. Good Lord

I may be in the minority, but I prefer the newer looks (despite being a long time Street Fighter player).

My top want is Juri honestly. Preferably her SFV look over the original SF4 version.

no way, Storm is way better than Figuarts as far as SF figs. storm will take out Blanka, its just the matter of time. figuarts did this just to piss off Storm. figuarts knows storm is their competitor. storm will do a blank, just wait it out, whats the rush?

I’m waiting for the super street fighter 2 versions. Best versions of the characters. SFv has a weird art style that tries to be too many things at once.

WOW! Blanka! Super stocked to see Bandai Figuarts didn't give up making more SF2! My dream line-up would be the original 12 World Warrior characters, I'm super nostalgic with those. I hope Bandai will release them all.

Way back I bought Storm Collectibles Ryu and had him along with Figuarts Ryu to make a decision with which company I would go with.
I decided in favor of Figuarts because;
Figuarts

• was more sturdy made of higher quality plastic imo,
• better in scale with most of my other 6" figures like Marvel Legends, NECA's 80's cartoon TMNT, which is very important to me because of a figure line-up of the fighting videogames like Marvel vs Capcom, TMMT Tournament Fighters, etc.
• more poseability.

Storm Collectibles
I loved the sculpted face of Ryu on the Storm Collectibles figure and the extra sculpted details and paint wash, but...

• I couldn't get into the exaggerated hulking look; I know SFV art shows him that way so it's accurate to SFV, but don't like Ryu being that muscled and I prefer SFII.
• He was also not in scale with most of my other figures and
• the rubber parts used on him made him feel flimsy and gave me the thought of not lasting more than a decade or so. I had several figures that used rubber like the troll from LOTR which deteriorated over time. It's my main reason why I keep talking myself out of buying Hot Toys as well.
• Posing SC Ryu was a bit more stiff with a lot of noise.

I went for Figuarts all the way and hope they will continue the line.

I have a couple of Storm figures but this is pretty much the reason why I'm considering not buying anymore of their stuff. I just don't have much faith in the rubber holding up over time.

Anyway, I figured this line was dead so stoked to see one of my favorites, Blanka.

As opposed to a weak jaw? Never took much notice of his jawline lol...in fact, I would assume he has a bit of an underbite but I think if hes gritting his teeth (like in that one head sculpt) his jaw would look more prominent than it normally would, no?

Man, that Blanka is a beautiful figure. Might have to get it.

In Super SF2, when they redid the portrait art for the game, they gave Blanka a wide, strong jaw. In SF4, they went back to the SF2 original blanka with the Jay Leno chin and softer jawline...

How would you display a Blanka figure w/o having him be punched by someone into his shocked look?

The prototype on display at nycc doesn't look as epic as those promo shots but I guess that's to be expected. Is his hair articulated? I keep looking at the pics and can't really tell. It's segmented in a way where it looks like articulation is possible.
