Maybe it's a Nick Cage Ghost Rider with this:
https://www.fxguide.com/wp-content/u...2012/03/7a.jpg Sure, throw in a bike too. |

Can someone break down how this is worth $350.
Really..no joke. I don't understand (OTHER THAN GREED) the justification for the pricing. |
Way too expensive. No thanks. €420 is insanity. Cut the bells and whistles people will rarely use anyway and just make a cool vehicle – for like half the price. And even that is asking much.
Happy that it's Robbie with the car, that's what I wanted to see, but for 400 bucks? Nah, I'm good, pass. Also of course they would tease a classic Mephisto with this, that’s how desperate they are. I guess the Rancor will have some company soon. |

What are they smoking over there? Nobody thinks this is worth the same as a Sentinel, or $50 more than the HISS tank... right?

The HasLab Cobra HISS Tank almost seemed like a steal at $299, especially after all the tiers were unlocked.
But $350 for THIS shit, however? Un-fucking-believable. Super fucking hard pass on this one. Another HasLab that will crash and burn. Shame, the Charger on its own would be cool (for maybe $50), especially if Hasbro ever made a Wesley Snipes Blade figure (yes, I know ToyBiz did, but those figures suck). |

Even then it's stupid but this is just highway robbery. |

Pass. Id rather they do a Midnight Sons/Ghost Rider themed wave.

$350 for that? LMAO no thanks. I thought the Batmobile from dc direct was a bit expensive, and that was a lot bigger than this garbage. And no, hasbro isn't losing money due to fuel cost and overhead. Their gross profit increased by 20% or 700 million in 2021. There's no reason for these price hikes besides pure greed.

I just want Robbie and his car man; I don’t care about the other figures. Shave half the price off and release the other stuff separately. |
This drop is a mixed bag for me, looks really nice. Higher price than I am willing to pay but they have the right to charge what they want, just like I have the right to not buy.
I have backed the Sentinels, Galactus, and the Ghostbusters pack. I don't mind this one being easier for me to pass, I do hope it doesn't derail the attempt for vehicles in the future. Interestingly enough I'm pretty sure they could have sold an X-Jet for $400-500 easy, I would be in for a "small-ish" X Mansion or Danger-room at $600-700 but one car for $300+ isn't my jam. |

Tack on the shipping expenses and consider more than just raw material. Then you got licensing with marvel that isn't there with Gi Joe and Transformers(sorta). I will consider the figures as being $20. So if Early bird is reached, then the vehicle drops down to $310. The car itself is 1:12 scale. I see people on twitter pulling out RC cars with hollow sells and diecast 1:18 or smaller scale cars. This is where it gets difficult. Different models differ materials. Let's just say $100. Then the interior is functional. Some have pointed out how Mcfarlane did the vehicles for the DC Multiverse line. Those vehicles have very limited functionality. It's a base with wheels. There are LED/Electronics through out. Which means more time is spent in assembly. There are numerous attachments. Some of them are painted. All of this starts to add up in creating a many new unique molds. There is greed and there is also the realities of a small production run. 9000, is a very small number. That being said, I don't think this is a $350 product. Especially with the HISS being 300. Also I don't think any of the accessories or features are pointless. I think the thing looks solid. The figure they could have used better torso articulation. I do wonder if they could have gotten this into stores though. It's a highly functional car short of having RC components. Now depending on what the tiers are, my tune may change. Do not expect a bike. Expect either Ghost Rider characters or things to enhance the main car itself. If this was $300, I'd knock on the door of calling it a steal. Presentation wise. They showed off the car and all the accessories with an actual prototype. |

I think they need to tell folks what the tiers are, I get that they want to have something to reveal over time but the chat was really not happy about the price, even with unmasked Robbie.
Dwight was smart to hint at the demonic 6-inch tiers that could be added, that we probably wouldn't be getting in a regular wave. I think we all want Mephisto along with maybe Damion Hellstrom and Blackheart. Plus, just like we're seeing these heralds popping up as the Galactus Haslab release we might see Danny Ketch and other supernatural characters that won't offend the Bible thumpers and fill out holes in our collections. |
No. Just NO. Furthermore, making Reyes (who is an essential figure considering the car has a "street mode") a back-this-shit-in-a-week-or-else "Early Bird" figure is suuuuuuuper shitty. "Early Bird" figures need to be something that's cool to have but non-ESSENTIAL. Like the HISS Tactician.
Looking at all the parts and tooling on the Sentinel and the HISS one is left with the feeling this just isn't worth it. The Charger is a relatively simple design with comparably minimal tooling. LEDs are dirt cheap and Ryan making a big deal out of some "risers" seems desperate. This seems like a case for making exponential profit. An offering that is cheaper to produce yet costs more. Reyes is my fave GR. I would have done $250. $350 is a non-starter for me. Quote:

Even a month ago I knew from the tepid reactions of the leaks that this was going to be a meh.
And it still is. The LEDs are great, and it's a great display piece, but the price point is unreasonable. Unless the body is diecast, or if there were some additional things that were relational to the piece and not the figures, that would make sense. There's no sound FX, there's only four tires and an engine replacement. It's molded details painted. Haslab needs to understand where collectors are at with their collections. Less individual vehicles at this point and more diorama. Because unless you really like this run of Ghost Rider, this isn't gonna pass muster. |
This is interesting to me. It's cool, but I have never loved Robbie (nor do I hate him, he's just kind of there). I'm more interested in the Stretch Goals. I am curious however, if I back in two weeks and the early bird goal is met, do I get it too or is it only for people who ordered and helped reach the goal?

Everything Designincase said is accurate. Other than the figure everything about this is unique. I don't know what part of "prototypes are expensive" the average toy collector doesn't understand, especially one-offs like this. It's going to cost WAY MORE than the $15 they're charging you to ship. It has electronics, which requires extra labor. And so on, and so forth. Get it now? It seems like your actual problem is not necessarily GREEEEEEEED but the fact that you and your brother need to ask for a raise in your allowance. |
