Yes! Just found a Zombie-Viper at the TRU in Cary. No other new figures. Just one lonely Zombie-Viper.

Does anyone know if there's a variant of the Zombie-Viper? The card art shows a big red Cobra logo on the chest but the logo on the actual figure is black.

Falconhood 02-02-2012 03:34 PM

Found the MU 2-pack of Quick Silver and Wonder Man at Target NRaleigh, but $17.99!

siddarth 02-03-2012 02:04 AM

Folks, you are just going to have to get use to toy prices going up. The cost of materials, labor and shipping will continue to rise year after year. It's going to be passed on to the consumer. The only way figures will go down in price, come up with a cheap, durable material that doesn't include a non-renewable resource.

mj3141x 02-03-2012 07:48 AM

Found the new Episode III and Clone Wars vintage-style vehicles at the Target at North Hills last night ($29.99 each). They also had a very healthy supply of the entire new Star Wars line, including a lot of stuff I've seen pictures of but haven't seen on the shelves yet (the new 2-packs, Titaniums, Darth Maul role-play mask, etc.) and they also had a good supply of Episode I vintage-style figures and the rest of the new Episode I and Clone Wars figures.

mj3141x 02-07-2012 12:49 PM

I'll stop talking about Star Wars stuff after this post, but I just saw the new Star Wars display at the TRU in Cary. It was actually pretty impressive. They had all the new toys in mass quantities, including the TRU-exclusive battle pack with the Podracers (it's a 7-pack I think). As lame as it sounded at first it actually looks pretty decent, mostly because of the flags that come with the set. I don't think it'll be hard to get. They had multiples in several locations so they had a pretty good number on hand. They also had several different items on sale so there's actually some incentive to stock up at TRU versus Target or Walmart right now. Otherwise they had tons of the new Star Wars LEGO sets, role play items, Titaniums, puzzles, model kits and several other lines and scales of characters and ships. It's that main area right there at the front so you can't miss it, but they also had newer product back on the regular Star Wars toy aisle as well.

Falconhood 02-13-2012 04:54 AM

saw new PRIME Cyberverse figures in Raleigh at Target, and the LEGO aisles are now full and packed. The new minifigs are out, the Statue of Liberty series.
But that's about all I saw.

$12.43 for a single-packed astromech droid?? Holy crap. I don't complain much but what is Hasbro thinking with that? Am I paying $6 for the droid and $6 for the 3D packaging or what?

OK, never mind. Sorry. Walmart had the wrong tag on the pegs for these. They're actually $8.49 or so, not $12.43. It's a nice wave though and not one that I had seen pictured online anywhere. There's a white/yellow astromech droid from Ep I, a Naboo pilot and Ric Olie with cloth coats, the three-eyed podracer, a Tusken Raider, a Gungan warrior, and maybe a couple of others. They had all these at the Walmart by Triangle Town Center.

mj3141x 02-17-2012 07:14 PM

Saw the new Transformers Prime deluxe figures at TRU in Cary today, along with a full display of Avengers figures. Man, quality went waaay down with the Avengers line, at least based on all the stuff I saw today. I picked up the movie series Hulk but the Thor, Captain America and Iron Man figures looked really cheap (but with $9.99 price tags). They also had the Avengers line Loki who looked pretty cheap too, especially compared with the Thor line King Loki. As far as the Transformers Prime figures go, I specifically remember seeing Bumblebee and Cliffjumper. Oh, and they had a pretty good supply of GI Joe Renegades as well.

mj3141x 02-22-2012 08:12 PM

Made an interesting discovery today. There's a bookstore at North Hills called the North Hills Bookery (near McAlister's) that carries action figures. I was there this afternoon and they had a pretty decent selection of some good GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra figures, as well as Star Wars, SW Clone Wars, Marvel, Thor, Transformers, etc. The GI Joe section had some pretty good troop builders...they had quite a few Cobra Shock Troopers, Jungle Vipers and Alley Vipers, as well as figures like Shadow Hunter and Sky Dive. You have to look around the place pretty good though. They have toys in several locations throughout the store. The prices I glanced at on the Joes was $9.95 I think.

Marvel Legends 2012

Anybody find the New Marvel Legends yet? I ordered Hope, Constrictor, Thor and Iron Man from TRU, but haven't found any in the stores. I guess when these come in i can concentrate on finding the others and Variants.

mj3141x 02-24-2012 11:24 AM

The Walmart in Apex has Transformers Prime, vintage-style Star Wars on clearance for $4 (including the new Phantom Menace figures apparently); Iron Man on clearance, some Captain America on clearance, some Avengers stuff on the shelves, and the big 12" Armor of Omens Thundercats exoskeleton set.

mj3141x 02-25-2012 12:36 PM

The Walmart at Brier Creek has a lot of cool Avengers stuff...like Concept Series and Comic Series that I haven't seen elsewhere, including Hawkeye. No Movie Series though. They also have Transformers Prime, including Optimus which I haven't seen around town yet.

siddarth 02-26-2012 02:25 PM

Saw the new Avengers figures last night. Yuck! The original sculpts may look good but the packaged product looks bad. Especially those Thor figures.

mj3141x 02-28-2012 10:07 AM

Saw the Transformers Trilogy Series deluxe Optimus Prime with trailer last night at Walmart and at Target at Triangle Town Center. $29.99.

c2close 02-28-2012 08:41 PM

Saw the new Avengers figures at TRU at Cary. I am so sorry with the high priced that figures go for each individual figure I need to passed. Honestly, im dissapointed that they sacrificed most of the good points for a figure especially articulation wise. It's not great. But excited for the movie not the figures. Peace Hasbro!

Avengers

Finally picked up the Variant Marvel Legends Captain America with Ionic Shield at the Cary Target. Got the Red/Gold ML Iron Man at SciFi Genre in Durham. Also got Avengers Hawkeye at the Walmart at Brier Creek. Found Two more Hawkeyes at the Walmart in Morrisville. Still looking for the Ghost Rider to complete the BAF.

nccollector 03-06-2012 03:10 AM

Finally finished!

Found the Variant Orange Flamed Ghost Rider at Target in Apex!!
Now, on the lookout for Series 2!!

mj3141x 03-08-2012 11:36 AM

Apparently the Walmart in Cary has some of the newer Star Wars stuff (in the Darth Maul packaging) on clearance already. I noticed the vehicles in particular had red stickers with reduced prices.

c2close 03-08-2012 02:41 PM

Walmart at Hollysprings also on clearance for episode one phantom menace Vehicles (Anakin's podracer, Sebulba's podracer, Sith Infiltrator,Dewback, etc.) are on clearance for 21 bucks. The vintage star wars vehicles (at-ap, v-19, obi wan jedi starfighter) still on the retail price of 30 bucks.

mj3141x 03-09-2012 01:32 PM

The TRU in Cary had some decent Joes today...Zombie-Vipers, a Techno-Viper, and a nice selection of the newer Renegades assortment (Law and Order, Tunnel Rat, etc.) The trick was they weren't in the GI Joe section. They were on the next aisle with the Marvel toys.

flywheels 03-14-2012 01:25 PM

Walmart on Sardis Road North in Charlotte had the entire 2nd wave of Marvel Legends today...well they did! (-;

There were 2 Cap Buckys, FF Spider-Man, Madame Hydra, Wrecking Crew, Fantomex, Unmasked Dark Wolverine / Daken and Drax.

nccollector 03-17-2012 05:00 AM

The Walmart in Apex had the Marvel Legends Series 2 figures on Friday. The Wrecking Crew, (2) Captain America's and Drax. Wow, have found that the Series 1 were sparce, but now starting to spot the Series 2?

Falconhood 03-19-2012 03:19 AM

anyone see Marvel Legends in the Triangle? i so much want the Ghost Rider, and the parts to Terrax, even though I don't want the characters with them, except GR, i will need to buy them, too.

nccollector 03-20-2012 02:23 AM

I have found all of the Series 1 Terrax at various locations around the triangle and have found three of Series 2. Saturday I did see a complete set of Series 1 at the new Walmart on Martin Luther King in Durham. Series 1's are popping up most everywhere, I have noticed that the so-called "variants" are in abundance. The only Steve Rogers i have seen are the one's that have him with a "clear" shield, the Ghost Rider is the one with an "orange" flame, not blue and the Iron Man has the "blue" stealth armor. I did find a "red and gold" armor Iron man at SciFi Genre in Durham.

mj3141x 03-21-2012 01:36 PM

Saw the new Evil Dead 2 figures at TRU in Cary today.
