Really? I think the only one I had trouble with was Ghost Rider. Then I had a friend send him to me, after that I started seeing him in all the Wal-Marts.

Around here, the first month is really tough to find the new waves, but after that, they stock up a lot and then it's usually only one figure you have trouble finding. In this case, it was Cable.

Tiberius 06-25-2011 10:12 PM

I'll get my Cable one day. I found Gladiator and Apocalypse at a Toyfair for a bit more than retail price up here.

If you go to Toys R Us on Thursdays when they restock their shelves, you have a good chance of finding him there. I saw the entire wave at Wal-Mart. I would try there too.

Tiberius 06-25-2011 10:41 PM

TRU doesn't carry single packs anymore, last wave they had was the Guardian wave. Walmart always has figures, but they got like 20+ Aim soldiers, and won't order any till everything is gone. It suuuuuucks

Really? That many AIM guys? That's who I've been looking for. I have one, but I at least want 10 or so, to finish off the AIM army.

That sucks that TRU doesn't do single cards. I went to a random Wal-Mart in Illinois the other day and they NEVER carried 2 packs.

Tiberius 06-25-2011 11:17 PM

Mine in town JUST called 2 packs. Got myself and a buddy Taskmaster and Deadpool. Seen once, never again. They have like 4 Sentrys/Spider-Mans, 3 Thors and Iron Men. Uhhh One Silver Samurai and Wolverine. And I think thats it. The Walmart in my town only has 2 Namors [The one with AIM soldiers is down island]

I have to say that Deadpool from the 2 pack is better than the XO:Wolverine line. But it sounds like your Wal-Mart is down to the bare bone. For the longest time mine was like that, then one weekend we had all the revisions. It was nice.

Tiberius 06-25-2011 11:41 PM

I am hoping for that. Maybe its a sign, gotta slow down on collecting the action figures. Money is quickly draining! lol.

LOL I know the feeling. I'm missing several MU figures from various waves, but I know they are the more rare ones. And I'm all caught up with the current wave, so going into the store isn't as fun when you know you won't find anything.

luketheduke04 06-26-2011 09:06 AM

my patience paid off, i stopped at a walmart 2 towns over from my house, on the way to see my dad for fathers day to get him one more gift, and i checked not thinking on finding anything, and found thanos, constrictor, wolverine silver sam. 2pack. its been hard to find mu comic packs around my area.

So I was at the grocery store picking up some things for my kids B-day party, and thought I would check the toy aisle...found Apocaplyse and Cable!! To those discouraged collectors I say, check other areas when Target, Walmart, and TRU are empty...you might find something good if you redirect your energy to "out of the box" places. If it's seeming like a chore; hold off a bit until the excitement builds again.

Which grocery store? I've found MU at Kroger's, but it's been a while

Redlantern161 06-26-2011 11:59 AM

I finally nabbed Initiative WM & anybody here pm me if they could use crossbones red skull apocalypse gladiator FA wolverine or any of the wave 1 od 2011 MU figures

omega145 06-26-2011 01:17 PM

If your retail stores are over stocked with a particular figure you could buy them all up and then return them to a different store. It's a practice that some find as unethical but I could care less even though ive never done it myself.

absolutely Genius one wal mart near me has only 10 figures (iron man , spidey of course )

Tiberius 06-26-2011 04:42 PM

I am buying those 2 Namors at mine and going to the larger city when I go see Transformers to return them there. I am pumped, there is absolutely no reason why my Wal-Mart shouldn't at lesat get the Thanos wave in. I think I have waited long enough for a Thanos of my own lol. Again, cannot wait to see how this turns out.

Redlantern161 06-26-2011 07:29 PM

hmm idk how the returning them to other stores deal works but why do that when i can hook up my fellow arkers?

omega145 06-26-2011 07:58 PM

Because most of those figures are peg warmers and not needed by anyone on here. Most stores allow you to return your items to another store location and either way, Walmart and Target both allow you to return items without a receipt as long as they stock the item. I believe they ask for an ID and only allow up to $100 worth of returns without a receipt in a calender year but I could be wrong.

I tried that with a Target back when I still had some Hasbro coupons, but they don't seem to order hardly anything. I have very mixed experiences with the Target stores in my state, and I don't rely on them nearly as much as I used to.

Tiberius 06-27-2011 12:22 AM

Well, it doesn't hurt to try, its not hurting anyone [I think]. Got nothing to lose but have an empty peg for a year lol.
