WD was a good Osborn..but suck ass as Green Goblin. my 2 coins. Lizard was a Lizard in the movie..had alot of speaking lines and alot of fight scenes.

Thats why i like him alot

DogFashionDisco 07-04-2012 09:27 PM

The film was good, but some of the high school stuff was ridiculous (you'll see what I mean). Anyway, it was definitely worth seeing.

Lizard looked exactly like his 3.75" figure and was just as good. :p

Next movie will have a better villain and be the best spidey movie ever made. Mark my words!

jaybird7072 07-04-2012 10:01 PM

I liked that they made the lizard pretty big..

Greenskar 07-04-2012 10:28 PM

He was pretty damn huge. I was surprised they did that actually. Makes me wonder if when they finally do the Goblin if they'll take the Ultimate Green Goblin approach where he transforms into a giant Goblin that can fly and throw fireballs from his hands.

DogFashionDisco 07-04-2012 10:36 PM

The Lizard looked great, I had no complaints about him and the actor was fantastic. Overall the film was great, but that High School nonsense with Peter doing things that are so obviously over the top annoyed me to death. I didn't like it in Raimi's first Spidey film, and I don't like it this time around either.

We hope they don't, we think it would kinda be too similar to the Lizard design wise, We think they should stay away from green for a while lol
Lizard, Green Goblin, Scorpion, and Mysterio are all green.

We have a huge 6 movie idea plan that we want to share but we don't know if we should.

Oh and we forgot to mention one thing we loved about the movie
THEY DIDN'T KILL THE LIZARD!
SM1-Green Goblin DEAD
SM2-Doc Ock DEAD
SM3-Venom DEAD- Harry DEAD- Sandman Alive? O_o

Don't forget that most of what I think you are referring to happened before he knew the full extent of his powers and and knew how to control them. Also no idea that he would be Spider-Man in the near future.

So in other-words growing pains.

I was thinking the same thing about the Ultimate Goblin Looking too much like the lizard. No way. The Goblin should be more tech based. But look nothing like the Raimi one. And I'm pretty sure all Spider-Man villains are green and based off animals. LOL...

Maybe Rhino, venom, or Kraven, but I'm having a really hard time thinking of villains that are not green. Too early for Venom, and Rhino is another animal based villain.

SPOILER...

I have a feeling Green Goblin will be making an appearance in the next one. I mean the story has to go on. And I think we all know what happens to Gwen. Thats going to be hard to watch. But I hope they keep it real.

What's you plain stan?

We would want to see Norman Osborn that mutates into the Green Goblin, with the costume to look like it does in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.
Even that would still be similar to the lizard because of the mutating into a green beast part lol

The only villains not based on animals are
Venom
Carnage
Toxin
Green Goblin
Hobgoblin
Demo Goblin
Menace
Kraven(Unless you consider him to be like a lion lol)
Alistair Smythe
Electro
Hydroman
Sandman
Mister Negative
Molten Man
Morbius
Mysterio
Shocker
Tombstone
And a bunch of other nobodies lol

Plain stan? lol

He displays his new strength too much, and it is incredibly cheesy. That's all I can say without ruining any details.

Wouldn't other people find that extremely odd? I mean one guy ended up wearing a Spidey shirt.

I know you were answering another question but just to be clear.

That was flash, Who has always been a huge fan of spider-man
From wikipedia "Flash admires Spider-Man, Peter's other identity, forming the first "Spider-Man Fan Club" and vocally supporting his idol wherever he goes, even criticizing J. Jonah Jameson and his editorials to his face."

Thats right. Thats why it was such a huge deal for flash to get the Venom suit.

Does everything that a spider can.

That and the loss of his legs. Sad that had to happen.

Why was it so strange that he was wearing the shirt. I'm sure after a super hero saved the city from a giant lizard a lot of merchandise would pop up. And a high school student being interested seems what's the word, normal.

I have a couple of Spider-Man shirts and he never saved me or my city.

DogFashionDisco 07-05-2012 12:08 AM

I should clarify - It is weird that Peter displays all of that random strength and no one connects the dots there, I mean at no point did someone stop and ask, "Why is that kid acting like Michael Jordan?" Not much time goes by during the transition between ordinary guy to Spidey, so it was cheesy in that regard.

I know who Flash is. That said, even Flash should know it is fucking weird that Petey all of a sudden can lift him off the ground. That could have been adapted much better. Basically, how is it that no one notices a kid who can randomly do all that stuff right around the time that a "vigilante" starts doing the same thing in their city?

Thats true but thats not how you said it before. In your earlier post you made it sound as if Parker was being reckless with his identity before he knew he would take up the cause. Yes it would be curious for Parker to display these new traits just as Spider-Man pops up. They could have done a bit better in this respect.

They should follow this up in the next film with speculation amongst flash and others in the school. But Peter should find a way to convince them otherwise.

Not hard he's smarter then all of them.

It's a comic book world............the collective intelligence doesn't connect the dots lol

Just ask Clark Kent. He knows all about it.

DogFashionDisco 07-05-2012 12:31 AM

My previous comment hinted at the same consensus, but I didn't want to have to go into so much detail, but apparently had to for your benefit which is fine. Look, both the Raimi film and now this one made similar mistakes (as I said). Watch it again and get back to me.

"Hollywood took a giant step backward this week when "The Amazing Spider-Man" swung into action Tuesday with $35 million in domestic box office, a record for a film opening on a Tuesday. The $35 million Tuesday crushed the previous record-holder, "Transformers," which opened with $27.9 million on the day before the Fourth of July in 2007.

So why is this a bad thing?

Well, it's not bad for theater owners, Marvel or Sony, but it is bad for people who like to see something new and different in theaters. The better-than-expected launch of a "new" "Spider-Man" shows studios that they don't have to continue taking minimal risks making sequels and big-budget adaptations of TV shows and board games.

They don't even have to risk making a film that's only slightly derivative.

No, a big studio can now make the exact same movie over and over and over again.

Why make "Poseidon"? Just re-cast Sigourney Weaver with a younger model and call it "The Amazing Alien." Don't be blue because you'll never top "Avatar." Take the next iteration of new technology and release "The Amazing Avatar." Howard Gensler, Daily News Tattle Columnist.

Have to admit, the guy has a point. What do you think?

I'm glad Amazing Spider-Man is doing well, but I just can't get excited for another origin story even if it's been changed a little. I'm only going to get excited for a Spider-Man movie when I see the following characters on the Big Screen.
KingPin(Big White Version)
Rhino
Shocker
Venom (lets face it, he really deserves a reboot in the movie verse)
Carnage
Tombtone
Kraven
Silver Sable

That's 3 or 4 movies right there. I really don't want to see the Green Goblin again, Ultimate Version or otherwise. But that's just me.

True that. It isn't.

This movie is a good movie. It's a bit darker and offers a bit more drama as-well as the most amazing SM in a film to-date. I'm not holding Spidey responsible for dip shit Hollywood producers being greedy ass's. This movie has a right to its own origin story and to stand apart from the Raimi films. I'm getting sick of the hate. If you don't like the film feel free to speak your mind but don't put all thats bad in the film industry on Spider-Man.

This movie was not perfect. It had some minor flaws. But if thats all you guys are seeing than you're missing one hell of a fun flix.

Green Goblin is coming. This is almost a given. And I'm glad. He's a huge part of the story and has a big roll to play in the fate of certain supporting characters. Did people do this with the Dark Knight Re-boot? I am almost sure that like the Dark Knight the first focused on beginnings and never before seen villains. The second film brought back the #1 rival. I could be wrong but I don't think I am.
