Lots of Action one episode, lots of talk in another, thus the endless cycle will just rinse and repeat from beginning to end.

The comic is just as slow paced but when the sh*t hits the fan, it leaves ya a big gooey mess worth seeing.

Fedup23 10-24-2011 05:16 PM

The comic definitely has its slow spots also.. and there are tons of redundant dialogue in the comics.. Rick has a meltdown just about every issue , followed by whatever character is close enough bringing him back to earth and telling him he is doing the right thing.

The pace of the TV show is better IMO. Last night was a slow one.. but ended with a bang! Cant wait to see what happens at the school.

I have given up hope for the little girl.. I mean.. if one of those things stumbled onto her.. and we know they are out there.. she would be toast. (breakfast)

I cant believe that farm hasnt been invaded yet.. it looks like the world has passed that place by.. I mean.. they dont even have to lock the doors at night.. LOL. (they probably do) You would think the joint would be boarded up like a fortress knowing what might wander up at anytime. (a herd).

...enjoying it.. wish it wasnt on right before bed.. sometimes its hard to get to sleep afterwards. haha ok ok.. sorry.. zombies have my number ever since Night of the Living Dead!!

I actually came up with a theory about Sophia last night. I dot want to say anything as not to spoil season one or anything but ...what if a certain angry someone from season one has her.

I actually have a multitude of theories concerning that guy. Like I thik he may play the role of a certain villian from the comics. I mean we know the dude is gunna play a role at some point.

I hope so, I am enjoying the tv series more so than the comics.

DogFashionDisco 10-24-2011 07:57 PM

Fortune, that isn't a bad idea, I'm surprised I didn't think of that sooner. I guess I've just been expecting him to do the whole governor thing. Anyway, does anyone else feel like the show is a lot more boring this season? I feel like it has turned into a soap opera.

Two episodes in, if its not better by 6-7, I'll agree with you =3.

I agree with this^

Fortune 10-24-2011 08:31 PM

I will state again. Its pacing is far better then the comic so far I have loved the second season.

D00MTR0N 10-24-2011 08:35 PM

yeah there needs to be a solid storyline built for all those who did not read the comic series.

LXL_Guy 10-24-2011 08:50 PM

I'll drop the series by halfway point if it doesn't get any better. Still hate how quickly they double dipped on the DVD/Blu-Ray as well.

DogFashionDisco 10-24-2011 09:01 PM

Well let me put it this way - I read the comics at my own pace - so I may be biased in that respect. However, the so-called 90 minute premiere was crammed with commercials, I felt like I had to sit through at least 30 minutes of them. If you want a decent result from a show like this then break it down into longer segments (maybe 90 minutes of the actual show?), or my American attention span is going to find something else to do.

Agreed. It also really helps to build upon the fantastic characters that are exclusive to the TV show.

LXL_Guy 11-01-2011 05:01 PM

Didn't watch episode 3, just quickly skimmed through to see what happens. I found it to be a pretty boring episode despite the event that took place.

omega145 11-01-2011 06:03 PM

This last episode was pretty good although I still have the same complaints I had before. Story tends to drag, this situation with the son is taking to long to unfold and it doesn't help that each show is an hour and there's probably 20 minutes of commercials during the show. Still I gotta say five minutes of this show is better than that terrible zombie apocalypse that was on sy fy the other night.

D00MTR0N 11-01-2011 06:23 PM

I agree the situation with the son is taking way too much time, and with the girl being lost in the woods, they need to get moving from that area already, still love the show though.

Yes to both of those, forgot to mention the girl. She isnt lost, she's dead! haha, who knows whats up with that.
It's a solid show although my expectations are so high because of the solid acting, my love for zombies and nice zombie makeup that sometimes the show doesnt live up to those expectations for me. You know what I mean?

I will say this, that first zombie rick came across in the first episode, the half zombie/lady was the most disturbing part so far imo,the silent dialect between them for that brief moment was chilling, and I think she was so far the best zombie.

It is WAAAAAAAAAAAY off from the comics, but I think it is better. They made Otis a nice fat man, instead a of skinny racist prick. Shane...well he is my favorite, he has made the show watchable so far, at least season 2. Without ruining anything, I am glad he is around. As for the bolded part. Another member said some very pissed off...bro...could of found her and taken her and has done god knows what to her. I would be surprised if that wasn't the case.

D00MTR0N 11-01-2011 06:42 PM

this is how she got to be a walker, and like I said imo the best zombie makeup job thus far.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMlG1gA6aH0

edit:better youtube link.

I agree. To me the first episode was far better than any episode to date and set my bar so high that every episode quite simply hasnt lived up to.

I dont mind it being off from the comics. I read the first 30 issues or so and didnt expect it to be spot on. I guess we will see what happens with Shane seeing as how the last episode was.

Karma is gonna catch up and bite ya in the rear.

Otherwise I still do enjoy seeing the amazing make up effects on this show. Still hate the pacing. Again if they're gonna go a diff route with live action, might as well throw in new arcs that are not as aggravatingly slow as this.

I'm surprised it is going this slow too, giving a lot has changed.

Fortune 11-04-2011 03:38 PM
