I have a question for anybody who's seen the "mini muggs". I see that Hawkeye is holding something, but can't really tell what it is. Is it really a bow? and if so, does it at all look like the one he's been seen to have in the movie? that would certainly peak my interest, and at seven bucks each I would consider getting him.

I wish they had an individual picture for Hawkeye. You can see him there in the group shot, but a closer look at him would have been great. Though I guess since he appears to not be a part of the first wave, it makes at least some sense that they wouldn't focus on him yet.

Edit: While I have a bad feeling it'll never happen, if they ever make a Maria Hill action figure in this line, I'll get it as soon as I possibly can. There's no way I would pass-up an action figure of Cobie Smulders. I'm a HIMYM fan, and well.....she's hot (which is also why I'll probably be getting a Black Widow figure too...).

Yes. They're all made by Hasbro.

Whoa didn't know Hasbro made both of them...cool...

Really? LESS articulation is what you prefer?
You must love both the Green Lantern and young Justice lines!

I'll pick up Hulk for the head at least. The line looks like it'll have both comic and movie series from what I can read on the card art pics.

I'm sure my MU scale jones will force me to buy a few but I can't say I'm super stoked.

That Loki Venom got a pic of does look killer though, even with a tad less articulation.

Jason Abbadon 01-21-2012 01:56 AM

Hulk looks like nice custom fodder- stick his upper body onto a lower body from the Thing (pants version) and add a Metalhead head (from the old 2099 line) and you'd have a nice Ironclad from the Ufoes....or possibly the start of an Ulik.

topnotch97 01-21-2012 03:01 AM

Ahoy!!!!! Pegwarmers!!!! arrrrrrrr!!!! :D

billvermin 01-21-2012 06:20 AM

Venom can you please post the UPC for one of the Avengers figures? a photo or just the 12-digit number would be fine.. thank you!!

I said less, not the absolute minimum. The sculpting on the GL movie toys bothered me, and while I don't have any of the YJ figures, I do like the way the look. At most I might get a couple of them. Like I said, I think Hasbro adds too much articulation to their 3-3/4" scaled figures. Scale it back a couple of points and it'd be perfect. I also think their articulation is typically very intrusive on the design of the figure, and that the ball joints they usually use for their mid-torso joints are counter productive to the figure.

Any help with this?

tlasjr 01-21-2012 04:41 PM

Okay why does IM have a round light on his chest? The trailer shows the triangle.

Venom711 01-21-2012 05:03 PM

yeah but i would be fine but atleast a rotating wrist and ankle would be appreciated!

JustryGT 01-21-2012 05:15 PM

I like a lot of articulation but I am looking forward to getting some new guys without the mid torso rotation. I like the way the 4" spiderman line is made.
That mid torso rotation looks great if the characters clothing works with it. Like on Zarana from gi joe. But many others look like they are about to fall apart with the big gaps under the lower rib area.

Probabbaly the trianguar version gets banged up and Tony makes a better armor to kick super ass- that's what he does in the comics and it's always great to see.

Good Stuff 01-22-2012 11:10 PM

Folks, don't kid yourselves...we all knew this line sucked from the SDD pics last summer.

Hasbro had months to fix this peg warmer...but what's done is done...

Avengers...whatever. I'm just looking forward to this badass! can't wait....

Who cares about the figures??? Toy collectors always act like the figures are the only thing that matters. The Quinjet is what it's all about. When will that start showing up in stores? I can't wait.

Not sure I understand what you mean. I care about the figures a lot more than vehicles.

Have not seen any of them on pegs in Northern VA yet, at least not Target/Walmart. Not paying $10+ for them at TRU.

Already been spotted and purchased at TRUs around the country...

NoodleChow 02-13-2012 03:46 PM

i'm just waiting till they hit stores en masse and have the subsequent 20% off or BOGO half off or hopefully that buy 25 bucks worth of stuff and get a movie ticket. i'll pick up a couple but only looking forward to that blackw idow which seems to be only missing waist articulation. here's hoping wave 3 and up get a proper release. =]

Jason Abbadon 02-13-2012 04:19 PM

This is why I'm glad I picked out certain figures from the previous movie lines to bolster the ranks for when the other movie figures hit.

Thanks to that, I only really need Loki, Cap, Hawkeye, Widow, and maybe fury if TRU doesn't clearance out the IM four pack soon. Besides of course two comic series figures.

That helicarrier is what's going to really put a dent in my wallet though.

That's what I mean^. Toy collectors always go crazy over the figures & the vehicles are an afterthought. The GI Joe line, for example, was originally meant to be a vehicle line. But it slowly evolved into a figure line because the figures were always more important. I'm one of the few that prefers the vehicles.

Besides, why would anybody care about another Thor, Captain America, Hulk or Iron Man figure? There's already 50 trillion out there. What's left for them to do that would make a new one any better than the ones we already have? I'll never understand why anybody would want to waste money on the same figure over & over & over again. I get 1 really good version of a character & I'm done.

Ok, cool. Thanks for the info. I never go to Toys R Us, I'll just wait for Walmart to get it. Toys R Us & K-Mart are the most expensive places. I try to avoid them.

I'm with you there. Unless the new version released is hands down the best by far then they aren't going to get people to keep buying the same figure over and over again. That said I do have a lot of different Iron Men. For me, and a lot of others I think, Ultimate Thor and Hawkeye are the only must-buys.

Saint Phe 02-14-2012 09:36 PM

I finally found some Avengers stuff at a TRU that's 150 miles away. They had everything but Loki and Ultimate Thor, which happen to be the only two I want. The weird thing is, I got there as the manager was stocking the aisle, and he said that was all he had. Are those two in a different assortment?

While I was out of town over the weekend visiting my girlfriend I saw the new MU sized Avengers stuff. I almost picked a couple up to help out Arkers but honestly, I think these are going to be easy to find. Just relax and eventually they'll show up.
