Positive thing is that we don't need as high a rating to get things this time in PVP. It's based on % instead of top 1000. That might be good? I have no idea though.

they also helped Jean a little as her level 9 attack no longer drains all her stamina.

Beast seems to be ok in PVP so far, although did they nerf MB? I hope so. And thank God for nerfing the QJ too!

Nope not enough nerfing of MB.

Yeah haven't come across a MB yet thankfully this season.. but they did at least hit her extra turns with a small nerf. Plus no more taking 8 turns just because you attacked her and then she countered and got 8 more!

But just played today only and I'm only ranked 1100ish and already in top .5%. I know this number will go up for sure, but the top % is going to be more friendly to hit than the top 1000. The more people that play the more that % includes!

Right? Seems like ya gotta be on it 24/7 to defend your spot. Gets tricky when you're not there to defend.

I only plan on doing the minimum as far as PvP goes. The last tourney kinda soured me on the whole thing. Not to mention I don't like Cable nearly as much as I do Deadpool. But I can imagine those who end up with both will have some nice team-up bonuses: frenemies, X-Force, and probably one or two others.

On the plus side, I recently got the Sinister Sceptre off the 4.2 roulette! Probably my favorite weapon right now.

Main changes that caught my eye from the last patch:

Dr. Strange got a huge boost in passives as well as new outfits (tactician).

Iron Fist's lvl 9 is a quick action.

Spider Woman's vengeance move is now a quick action.

Black Panther's stance is now a quick action. (can you tell I'm a fan of quick action moves?)

Storm's Blizzard now only hits enemies, so you don't have to shroud yourself first.

Pheonix's lvl 9 is steadily getting better. They have taken away the unnecessary stamina drain it used to have and given it new debuff properties (soul fire I think?).

They nerfed Emma into the ground. That kinda sucks. She used to be hard to damage (well it was tricky anyway, but when her guard was down, she definitely took punishment), but at the same time she did shit for damage output besides the fact the AI will attack when mental anguish is up. I thought it was pretty fair.

Cap no longer goes first. Also didn't like this change. Made pretty good sense thematically and wasn't exactly a game breaker.

I signed up for that free Blockbuster deal to get the 100 gold...but after setting up the account and refreshing my browser...no gold. Anyone else take this offer? How long does it take for the gold to hit your account?

I've used about 4 similar signup deals (Netflix, VISA card, and more) and they've all provided the gold almost instantly after the signup process was complete.

Yeah, I used the link provided when you first fire up MAA. Odd. I had an old Blockbuster membership years and years ago...wonder if that caused me not to get the free gold. At least I got a free 30 days to use this Blockbuster service. Gonna check out that 2nd Ghost Rider flick...

Had a great trip and came back to Alt Doc which is nice as he is one of my fav blasters. Used him a few times and like the new passive, cool to get a free shield every few turns. I see cable is next on the list. Like Deadpool I will get him with extra cp's or if he either is needed to get my Vision. I will try the PvP for the 100k silver like last time. it helped me research a tech while I was gone.

I was hoping for a new hero or two but only time will tell. They dropped Beast two weeks ago tonight so I am tempted to hang out but I am in a Heroclix Tournament tonight and get free shit for just playing.


Just 5 starred Mission 9.4 and got one cp from Abomination, 10cps for Modok and of course the 5 for the 5th star. Nice, 16 points on one lvl. Hope they drop something soon. I might go an buy another alt costume. Two battle to 5 star spec ops mission 1 (lost iso's and time while gone)

You have to e-mail the company in charge of handing out the gold. Forgot what they're called. You can see it where there's a link somewhere that says something around the lines of "Gold Not Showing Up?" I had to do that for Netflix cuz I had an account with them many, many years ago. Didn't give me the gold cuz I've been a customer, so what I did was just re-click the offer, and signed up with a different e-mail address, then shot them an e-mail. My gold was therethe next day.

Does anyone use Beast? How does some of his powers work?

I've used him a few times here and there. He's really good at basically negating a lot of other characters' buffs and abilities. He can also mark someone so that any time they attack, he automatically counters (which can help against multi-turn characters).

Haven't unlocked all of his moves yet (still working up to lvl. 9 ATM). But I like him so far. My only real gripe with him is that he's the Grant Morrison "Cat-Beast". Give me 90's Hank any day.

He's basically all about counterstriking. His attack increases each turn if you don't attack (and a counterstrike doesn't count as an attack in this case). His 2nd and 3rd abilities aren't attacks and will grant counterstrikes, which has good synergy with that passive that increases his attacks I mentioned.

His other "use" is to keep MB at bay. He can "generalize" characters so that their class advantages don't work.

Overall, I don't think he's a great character. I like the counterstrike concept he has, it's fresh and fairly well thought out, but I'm not a fan of letting the opponent hit me first. Sometimes he doesn't even get a chance to counter because he dies :D His retailation attack typically isn't nearly as strong as mental anguish, which is why I can let Emma slide, but not Beast. His lvl 9 seems a little on the weak side as far as a 4 hit melee attack goes.

Same give me 90's Beast any time.
Dang that sucks, I do agree he kind of does get taken out a bit too fast at times. But he seems a bit better than SW. Thanks for that tip used it against MB and it worked:) Didn't see it but she was gone haha.

That coulson's revenge offer definitely says UK Players Only. That deal was valid for U.S. bit over a month ago, no longer is.

And Exodus - To get those stats in pvp armory some people literally dump hundred of bucks into this game and just buy large amounts of the 64 gold items only to put them in pvp armory. It's crazy people have that much money to throw around only to win a character they could buy later any way for 1% the cost, but it's their money I guess.

Also, I'm plowing through pvp now that I've hit level 100 and got the perks from that.. top .2% baby! (pic below as proof :P)

The fact that they're releasing the character to the general public much later kinda kills the whole PVP thing. I barely have time to get on and use up my energy on a mission. I've heard stories of people literally taking massive amounts of caffiene to stay up and defend their spot and that's just not cool.

Well, I woke up to having defended and gained 31 rating.. so I played some more and went up about another 100.. it still just says top .01%, but just means I'm even more safe for now! It must be a bug in the game that I'm winning..
