dude asking for suggestions never came back. he must've been overwhelmed lol

ok I'm done. that^^^ was the last one I swear:)

ukmu 06-24-2017 03:02 PM

I might have a chance to pick up that Zabu.... anyone know what he looks like next to MU? Any suggestions on a Zabu besides this one? I have a few in random shots, but nothing too convincing that I recall. I want to make a Kazaar as the recipe is pretty simple, but not that bothered to be honest. Would be 100% with a Zabu but without him I'm not that into it. With a Zabu however, I would build a little shelf just for those three, a little Playmobil Rocky outcrop, some greenery and couple little dinosaurs. Boom, instant little dio.

So, if anyone s how this one looks or has suggestions for an alternative....then I'm all ears. Not even bothered if he isn't articulated. He can be static like Lockjaw or Cosmo.

ukmu 06-24-2017 03:08 PM

I might have a chance to get THAT Zabu, anyone how it scales with MU? Also, any suggestions on an alternative? I recall seeing some older random pics of different stuff people used, but I don't remember who or how they looked.

I was thinking about that Zabu too but I believe he is too big.
Maybe Schleich makes one that is better to scale?

ukmu 06-24-2017 08:25 PM

Forgot about those! Thanks.... after a little eBay searching I was disappointed in the Schleich version. I did however, come across the Papo which will be perfect for mine. He is static obviously, but that is 100% ok with me. So are Lockjaw and Cosmso, so as a "pet" goes; seems to be par for the course. Besides, he is in the perfect pose already.

Thanks for the tip!

Summer yard sales and flea markets are in bloom so i was wondering what to keep an eye out for. Can never have too many playsets :D

Oscarv 07-01-2017 04:02 AM

Think I prefer this one, may have to grab him. Thanks for doing the legwork for me sir. Haha. Realised I need him now after setting up moonboy, devil Dino, and Shanna, threw together a ka-zar custom/kitbash in 5 mins because, subliminally, I know the recipe off by heart by seenig it done so many times on here and other forums. Now needs his buddy.

Oscarv 07-01-2017 04:15 AM

Great, now I need some dinosaurs and a black panther for king t'challa

Pilkster 07-01-2017 09:40 AM

Why dinosaurs??

Il Cattivo 07-01-2017 09:45 AM

why not dinosaurs?

ukmu 07-01-2017 10:54 AM

1. Dinosaurs, Pirates, Robots, Ninjas.... in that order. Always.

2. A black panther is native to South America and is not built to withstand the harsh heat of Africa. They hunt in the trees,of which there are little of in Africa, and would die of heat exhaustion due to their black skin and black fur.

3. Always happy to help. I did actually put in a lot of research finding a Zabu. Hope everyone uses him.

4. @Sender, Playmobil works great... DISCLAIMER, it ONLY works if there are no doors, desks or other objects that show the scale of an exact 3" Playmobil figure. I am a big fan, we did Playmobil before we discovered Marvel 3.75" toys. Of which, we had a proper play just today.

5. Dinosaurs because they are in Savageland.

Not true. You are thinking Sahara and Serengeti. Congo is mostly rainforest, as Wakanda is usually depicted in the books.

CCC.

Il Cattivo 07-01-2017 01:27 PM

soo..
sahara desert - you got heat

rainforest - you got snakes

so the lesson here is no matter where in africa, always....protect yourself. got it.

Copy that, thanks again UKMU. Like you and many of the others here, given the low yield of new MU lately I'm focusing on displays & dioramas for my collection.

Agreed. Wouldn't be an "adventure" otherwise.

that's not what she said.

Oscarv 07-09-2017 01:46 PM

Yep, dinos for savage land. And I don't really care if a black panther would survive in Africa or not, would look great next to the character. He can be from earth 357689977.77-576.7. Where panthers thrive in Africa.

ukmu 07-09-2017 02:51 PM

I suppose he us rich and could easily buy a pair. I mean Mike Tyson had a whute tiger.

Il Cattivo 07-09-2017 03:07 PM

mike has jungle fever.

ukmu 07-12-2017 01:17 PM

Any helpful advice? Just looking really for smaller pieces to go with my playset. Stuff that isn't super rare, super expensive or only available regionally. The more the merrier! I can't seem to find any but I know you guys can help!

Thanks

Look at Playmobile. In particular the Halloween playbox. Bunsen burner, beakers, etc.
