Finally satisfied with my Classic Avengers lineup tray that will be displayed on shelf in my new collection room that's under construction. Got around to finally putting a Hulk together that looks like an actual monster next to his teammates. Still need to paint him up, but I finally have a Hulk I can live with now that the scale is "dead". http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uplo...80_1349531.jpg |

Meanwhile never seen Wave 2/3 in mass market retail. thank god for the LCS and online. On a side note: This line drives me batty, and I"m sure I'm not the only one. I have such an extensive wish list of figures I would absolutely love to see. my "short list" is about 30 figures. I've got about 100 I'd love see them ultimately do. I so very badly want this line to succeed, and while I get the price hike is eye opening, I'm willing to accept it if it were to mean we got more new figures we wanted. But we know that's probably not going to happen. Same ole same ole will come out the line, same distribution/stocking problems. The articulation thing bothers me (even more than the cost) but it's not a deal breaker. What is a deal breaker is when there is nothing to buy. I would love to give Hasbro my money on new not yet made figures, even if they do have less articulation than before. But I can't when they minimize the lines yearly production and then it takes forever for anything to get to us in the first place. As many of us have said and myself has said before, I really feel their best bet with this line would be to offer this as a subscription line. Just myself speaking but I would pay $25-$30 average per figure, for all new never released figures, with the occasional new costume if it's drastic enough, and maybe Vision for you all who don't have one. release maybe two a month, 24 figures, that's about $720 or so for a year, but you know what? I'd rather do that, even with not knowing yet what figures I would be getting, than not have a line at all. I also like what someone else said earlier this weekend, it's a shame that Disney/Marvel can't force Hasbro to give up the license and someone who actually might give a damn about the production (price nonwithstanding) were to take over. |
The other problem with the MI re-issue aside from the fact that most collectors had them, is most children wouldn't recognize them! In the 3.75 scale for GOTG we have comic representations of three members of the team (only two of with even begin to resemble there movie counterparts) no movie figures at all! and no villains! I know the movie was initially a gamble, but tell me they couldn't have had something out by the time the DVD released. Shit I know custom guys that can shrink a head from another scale, make a mold and crank out a few in an afternoon! I'm I expected to believe that Hasbro doesn't have the level of capability of some college kid in his kitchen!

I wonder if we're even gonna get those figures we voted for at Comic-con at this point. Gamora was a winner (I don't remember if there were multiple winners or just one) but I feel like we might not get those toys because of how poor the line has performed so far distribution wise. So for all we know we voted just to let Hasbro know what character we wanted from a list but may never actually get.

Sorry I've been so negative about this line for months, all, I just...the frustration for me with it has hit a new high in the last 6 months or so. I know we've had droughts before but this seems exceptionally "droughty" |

I try to stay positive but those new 3.75" age of ultron figs look lame. It's too bad that customs are really the only way to go for anything good lately. I hope they at least do something like the 2012 avengers movie line. |
I've been working on an armoury for Tony:http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...7&d=1421084338
Hopefully I will get a chance to take some photos in good light at some point! |

I haven't visited here since November and this thread has only moved 16 pages? Really slow over here I guess.

That Gamora needs to happen so I can never purchase another 3.75 figure again.
Although I do want to know who they made in the poorly articulated figures, I wouldn't mind a widow or even the twins |

Actually, the page has progressed with the proportionality of the of the offerings from Hasbro.

i just purchased my first Marvel universe action figure on ebay as of today.
Black Costume Spider-man !! this is my first universe figure, not sure whether i'll open him up or not. while im not too partial on the size of the figure or the detail on him, i do like the fact that the marvel universe series has damn near every character, even some of the odd ball ones that you would never think they would come out with. While im more of a hardcore Marvel select guy, i do hate the fact that they have a very limited amount of figures available. well... i'll give my 2 cents when it arrives. |

Are stores in the US STILL not getting any product on the shelves? Canada has had that shit forever. I just moved back to the States I don't see MI in any stores. I'm hearing that the UK is getting wave 3? Hasbro must be unable to get US retailers to stock this stuff.

welcome back stateside Ice! and no, I'm in Tennessee, Nashville has gotten the Wonder Man wave once in a couple targets, wave one in TRU nothing in Walmarts and Chattanooga hasn't had anything to the point that one of there TRU's doesn't even have MI pegs anymore! the last MU figure I know of at retail in this state is The TRU in Murfreesboro, It's an Aurora with two left hands... and she's not even been marked down!

It's definitely not because they didn't sell. It was really hard to find any new MU/I there in the past year & half. |

Witnessed a purple Wonderman in Toysrus in France today... Looks like MI is definitely getting better distributed in Europe than in USA

Targets and TRU stores in my neck of the US only had wave 1 and wave 4 of MI 3.75" series on pegs. I did see waves 2 & 3 (as well as waves 1 & 4) at my local comic book stores though. I ended up just getting all mine from BBTS this year.
