Hard for me to feel bad for people who jump on that. Scalpers are scum but you've gotta be a special combo of stupid and desperate to bite that $500 hook (especially when it's still available direct from Mezco, right? Don't follow 1:12 too closely admittedly). We should call it the Stupidity Tax :D

They are awesome at making those guns- but I've got a Deathstroke and Punisher already that gave me some great guns. The machine gun is hard to pass up, but the pistols and shotgun don't really interest me.

Given the length of time his has been open for orders, it's possible we are going to see more of the exclusives transition to larger batches or made-to-order. Gomez's second batch orders were up for quite a while, as well, so it's possible Mezco is looking at trying to have basic batch size produced that will have guaranteed sales and then scaling for additional batches based on additional orders with a defined cut-off.

Similarly, we saw Dark Horse Direct do this "made-to-order" with the exclusive version of Hellboy that is starting to get shipped.

At the moment, this going to work really well for people thinking they need to get the exclusive before it sells out in the first 30 minutes due to the hype and horror stories. They're still likely to pull some of their usual limited exclusive items, but this shows signs they are wanting to minimize scalpers' revenues for most of their future figures, especially for international customers.

As of finishing this, Wick is still available.

John Wick is still available for pre-order. Wow I wish I knew it was going to go like that instead of how it has gone in the past. I could have saved my self 30 min. of aggravation this morning! Oh well who knew? I'm happy that those of us who wanted one were able to get one for a change.

Wick's up at BBTS, as well. Seems they're running this release similar to the PX releases in the past, or just getting a few partners to improve shipping costs and distribution like Threezero has decided to do for their Deluxe editions.

I like it. As a fan of the One 12's my biggest complaint has been with the way they release their exclusives. It seemed as if the scalpers were the only ones getting these figures. Looks like Mezco may have finally figured out how to get these figures in the hands of collectors like they say in their mission statement. As a collector I hope this is a sign of things to come. Mezco has a habit of making some of the coolest figures exclusives. As long as I have a fair shot at getting one I'm more than cool with that. Thanks for listening to us collectors Mezco!

Looks like what they promised with the most recent prototype at Toy Fair. A good modern black and grey costume, though knee pads are still a bit at odds.

I hope the version you posted a picture of last month does come out as another release. The all-black with the matte details looks terrific.

I think we've all been there.
At minimum, you can keep the accessories to use with a Mafex Wick and sell of the Mezco. I know a few people that are going to try and do this.

Just bought my first Mezco One:12 figure! Picked up the Gal Gadot Wonder Woman on an impulse buy. Looking forward to messing around with her. I really wanted a Wonder Woman to go with my 1:12 scale NECA Chris Reeves Superman and Michael Keaton Batman, but dislike the look of the Linda Carter Mattel toy (proportions are horrible. Linda Carter’s WW was a real woman, not the stick Mattel made). Saw this and decided to go with it.

Looks like both Netflix Daredevil's are charging next around the same time. I really, really hope that what we saw at Toy Fair this year wasn't what we can expect for the standard version Daredevil because that suit looked so much worse then their first prototype and the prototype images they have up for him.

I got my SK Batman today. I'm definitely enjoying this figure more since it doesn't have all of the vinyl on the costume.

I cancelled my regular release order because of the suit changes shown at Toy Fair. I've still got the Vigilante one coming and the fact it was more prominent than the red suit in the last season will make it less disappointing if the regular release is a dud.

Got charged for the Netflix Daredevil vigilante costume earlier this week. I may, or may not end up keeping it.

I was on BBTS's website & noticed all the cool new stuff coming out in 1/12 scale. Dioramas, Knights, military & police style figures, the Mythic Legions stuff as well as lots of 1/12 scale accessories. I believe that the success of Mezco's One:12 line is the reason for this. There is a market for high end 1/12 scale figures. The significant improvement of recent Mafex figures supports this. Collectors have become more discriminating these days. We will pay for quality & detail. Well some of us will. Enough of us that the manufacturers have taken notice & are putting out some pretty nice stuff. It's a great time time to be a collector! I cannot wait to see what the future has in store!

Looks like BBTS is getting their SK Batman shipment in soon.

Logan and Diabolik are being charged next from Mezco and it looks like we'll be seeing our first SDCC exclusive next week, Wednesday presumably.

Being close to the announcement of the first Summer Exclusive, which line do you think will get the first exclusive slot: LDD or One:12?

I want to say that for previous conventions, Mezco has announced a One:12 exclusive before a LDD.

I'm curious to see what they reveal. Some possibilities might be:

The all black SK Batman we saw a couple months back
John Wick Chapter 1
Season 3 vigilante Daredevil
Ragnarok Thor with long hair and his hammer

I think it's too soon to see exclusive versions of Cyclops, Captain Marvel, and Green Lantern. But I wouldn't be surprised to see these later this fall or next summer.
