Really? I've only ever seen the girls and Anti Venom, and they hit every major store. There are about 7 Ultimate Spider Women on various shelves in a 10 mile radius from me. It must be a regional thing.

I'm actually kinda surprised we haven't seen a figure of this look yet, or Yelena.

Now THATS a black widow i can get behind.

SymbiSpidey 02-07-2016 07:53 PM

Yeah, I'm in the "I've seen an army of Ultimate Spider-Woman" camp as well. The only one from that wave that I haven't seen much is Spidey 2099.

donmeca2020 02-07-2016 07:55 PM

So i started wondering, will there be any deadpool figures or anything coming out because of the movie release ?

she was the one out of the wave I wanted. She has the best suit and she was one of my favourite ultimate characters

We watched the first three episodes to the new season of Agents of Shield and I hate to say it, but so far this is the worst of the three seasons. Yes, I know its only been a couple of episodes, but it is already retreading the same concepts they did last season. One of the scientists is messed up psychologically. Shield is battling a government agency. Sky/Daisy can't do anything right, she just has super powers this time. Grant is trying to make a name for himself and is being hunted by Shield. Mei has gone rogue. GIVE ME SOMETHING NEW!!!!!

Truthfully...I'm surprised the show has lasted this long. I honestly couldn't get past episode 3 in season 1. The show was so dreadfully boring and formulaic. Like Gotham (which I call "Boredom") before it, I didn't give a rat's ass about the characters, and after a while I felt like I was just watching a show about something else entirely, with a name drop here or there to try and hold my interest and remind me that "this is taking place in the MCU, so it's awesome!!!" No ABC. It's not.

Then Daredevil and Jessica Jones dropped. Pay attention to your own product Marvel. While I understand the limitations of network television, THAT'S how it should be done. It's all about telling a story...

lordbest 02-08-2016 12:53 AM

Yeah pretty much every other Marvel tv show is better than AoS. I will say that season three did improve, and the second half of season one was better than the first too, but if it were cancelled I wouldn't care much.

jmurray90720 02-08-2016 02:23 AM

Picked up Spider Girl, Valkyrie and most surprisingly Black Cat all at different Walgreens'. Gotta say I am not a fan of the hips on Valkyrie and I'm looking much less foreward to getting Thundra now. My Hulkbuster is 4/7ths finished yaaaaaasssss.

Yeah, I have to agree. I don't get the hate surrounding the show (and stopping at episode 3 is such a bad idea), LOVED the second season, but this third one... Fitzs and Simmons are great, Bobbi is a show-stealer, Mack is also cool, but aside from that... Meh. Chloe Bennet (who plays Daisy) isn't great at acting, the person playing Lincoln is an AWFUL actor, Grant bloody Ward is the most monotonous component on the show, is a terrible actor and needs to be killed off asap, Hydra is now far too repetitive, and let's be honest, Clark Gregg isn't a good actor, either.

So, in a nutshell: Phil Coulson - not interesting and a mediocre actor. Fitzs/Simmmons+Mockingbird - best parts of the show by far.

lordbest 02-08-2016 04:27 AM

I like Coulson, but he isn't interesting enough to drive a whole show. I think Chloe Bennett is fine when she is given something to do other than worry about guys or be angsty. Aside from that I think you summed up the show perfectly.

Spyne98 02-08-2016 07:57 AM

I stopped watching Agents of SHIELD half way through season 2. I just stopped caring. I hear it's been good, but I just don't care enough to watch what I have missed.

To be fair, this is a show that has to use whatever Marvel allows them to use, which are the left overs like Absorbing Man and Sif.

Thankfully, the first two seasons had a lot of interesting stuff in them to keep them going thanks to their likable and fun characters. I really like Mockingbird, Hunter, Coulson, and Mei. Not to mention the first season had this really awesome episode on a train with an epistolary-ish style.

Dare Devil was great, but Jessica Jones left a lot to be desired. I enjoyed it and its Neo Noir style, but Jessica is one of my least favorite characters in this cinematic universe. This is a show where I wished
the villain had won and killed her.
I liked Season 2, but there wasn't anything as great as the train episode from S1.

305Batman 02-08-2016 09:58 AM

I stopped watching AoS after season 1,I do watch ALL the DC shows.

Haha I love Marc's artwork, is he back on Marvel again? Love how during the 90's all the stuff looked like models :P

I'd love a figure of Hercules in this look (minus the hipster hair, of course). I actually think most of Marvel's All-New looks are great, with one of my favourites being Ms Drew's. Finally she looks more like an agent/PI (which she has always been).

Anyone for a very heavily pregnant variant?

What are these? These would be awesome as figure boxes.

Haha, it got a lot better after the mid season finale. Agent Carter is now playing which ties it in currently.

Agree Gotham is horrible, although now that Freeze is coming into play might get better and entertaining to watch, although I still hope they cancel Gotham...

Yeah majority of the DC shows are good.

Dr Kain 02-08-2016 11:09 AM

My problem with Gotham is that I wanted a cop drama about Gordon and the GCPD solving crimes. Kind of like CSI, but with Gotham. Instead, I got the "Batman Villains Prequel Show." Everything is so in your face. Instead of, "Hey, they just called him Edward. I wonder if he is Edward Nygma," its, "OMG LOOK!!!! IT'S RIDDLER!!!" It should have been "Oh, her name is Pam. I bet you she will become Poison Ivy." What we got was, "PEPPER IVY, POISON IVY!! GET IT!!!?? HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

By the time Bruce becomes Batman, all of his villains will need walkers. Hell, Selena is supposed to be younger than Bruce, not older.

The first season should have developed the Waynes. Maybe show that they aren't really the goodie goods Bruce believes them to be. Have them gunned down at the end of the first season.

They are comic variant covers drawn by John Tyler Christopher. I think the general consensus from practically everyone is that they would be awesome figures and boxes. Definitely better designs than we are getting lately with a lot more accessories.

Haha indeed, my whole thing was it was too much of a mobster series like watching Elliot Ness or something and agree with your points, especially Barbara being the way she is in the show. Too much deviation.

donmeca2020 02-08-2016 01:45 PM

Let me jump in on the comic TV show discussion. i think most of them suck.... however Daredevil blew me away with the excitement and action, it also actually made me a fan of him, which i never was prior to this show, hell i even started getting his new comic series pulled for me now on a regular. the show showed me daredevil in another light, prior to watching that i just felt he was another BS character.

Agents of sheild - didnt appeal to me.
Jessica jones, wasn't bad. i expected better....
Arrow couldnt make it past season 1 episode 6, i just thought it was kinda lame.
Flash - never seen it heard great things
supergirl - heard it sucks...
constantine when it was out i heard mixed things
heroes of tomorrow - doesn't looks too appealing to me.

I realize trying to put real people in spandex or leather to mimic a hero costume is risky and doesn't always work however for me, all these characters really don't look so much the part of these characters they're portraying. IMO of course...

Do yourself a favor and find the Frank Miller issues (trades or whatever) and read those. Amazing stuff.

The issues in question are runs on the original DD title. Here's the numbers:

Frank Miller : The Complete Works:

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I love all the DC shows!

You guys, seriously. Figures. Marvel figures. You are talking about a DC television show. Its time to reel it back in.
