Went hunting again today, picked up a lone wave 18 beast for trades, the star wars darth maul returns 3 pack, and a lone jango fett I found at five below.

At least it's the same figure with the same mold and same basic pattern. I would actually buy that in a second if I saw it as I'm still hunting for that Doom pack.

After way too long going to the same two tired a$$ Wal Marts in my area and one Target (equally tired), my LCS owner called me today because he got in a Nick Fury from the Avengers...I wasnt sure if I wanted it anyways because I have the IM2 with soft goods trench coat. Although I like that one alot, I went ahead and got the Avengers one once I saw the detail in person. Most Excellent!!! $14.99 though, but I am happy and I dont have to look for him anymore...

He had two Basic Chitauri, also for $14.99. It looked like a dollar store fig so I passed. I hope to get some of those on clearance down the road...

That's what I thought at first. I thought I hit variant gold, but alas, the bottom was cut and re-taped. I don't get that. I think the pictured version is WAY cooler. I gotta admit that's the deterrent on Doom for me. I don't want two FF spidey's even though the black heavy one definitely pops more aesthetically.

Target has the single carded version and the chariot version- even at straight retail, I'm passing. I dont even see these as viable customs fodder.

Now when the four pegs of Skrulls go oninevitible clearance, I'll nab a few....

For those of you not familliar with The Boys...it's a comic aimed at young children with no violence where adults solve their problems by talking through them.
It's a real role model for kids- I sometimes drop off issues at the locak children's hospital.

dude you were right & I'm just kidding you. also Jason & I get along great so I felt it ok to speak for him to continue the joke. He is a perpetual jokester but I'm sure he is talking about this: The Boys which is by Garth Ennis which should say it all.

Garth Ennis is one of my favorite writers. Crossed is an awesome series, as pretty much any other "horror" comic he has done.

The Star Trek thing was $3.00 at TRU (I'm stealing Symbiote's Avengers HQ idea), Kreo SS was $9 at Target, and all the comics besides The Amazing Spidey one in the middle were either free or .50 (stealing WalkingDP's display background idea with these). Fury, Maul DVD, Amazing Spidey comic, and Pac-Man candy were full price.

Anyway, his writing is top notch.

Jason mentioned the boys as possible customs, I linked an explaination with a Ennis reference to trekkings and the rest is history
