I picked up a Star Wars vehicle for the first time in a damn long time recently. I've always wanted an ESB Slave 1 since I was a kid, so when I saw the new SW legends class 2 vehicle at Target I couldn't resist. As I said I don't have any others, but looking at comparisons online it is smaller. It does seem better sculpted than the original and the repaint of the AOTC Slave 1 (but obviously nowhere near the super big to scale Vintage one). I'm kind of glad that it's a tad smaller though, so I can use some wiring to hang/display it.

whats this walgreens protofett you speak of?

snake5289 08-13-2014 05:41 PM

It's an all white repaint of Boba only available at Walgreens. Supposed to be based on the original concept I believe.

Kernel 08-13-2014 07:53 PM

^ I have the white McQuarrie concept fett on pre order. I was shocked to walk into a target last week and see 2 fetts on the pegs, it was only the second time I saw him in the wild.

It's not based on McQuarrie's concept, but the initial suit based on the concept, which is closer to his concept than the final design(s).

I dunno. If you do find it please share the news, I have a regular Fett pre-ordered, but I would like to find this one too.

I have a quick question: wich one is the best Droidekas for display?

I have several models, but I was very disappointed to see that some of them are just plain awful with big arms and small tri-legs...

Anybody interested in an SDCC Jabba for cost plus shipping? His box is a little dinged up. He was about $80 after taxes and shipping. Not sure how much he'll be to ship. He is massive, so probably around $15. I got an extra thinking I'd keep one in box, but the box is huge and I just don't have the space. Thanks!

I used to have 7 Stormtroopers, that was more than I needed so I sold 6 on ebay recently.

Falconhood 08-19-2014 07:25 PM

I need help, which of these is the one to get? I plan to get the better of the two when I go back

They are both the same. The only difference is one comes with a pilot.

Iceman 08-19-2014 09:59 PM

I thought the VC one was a different mold? I got mine back when they were $15 at TJ Maxx but I still haven't opened it.

Thank-you for your input.

I think the VC one is K-Mart exclusive, it just lacks the sticker. I was doing the research on them in the store, trying to find details I needed. Mainly, are they they same size, or did they scale down the VC one like they are doing with the current retail vehicles?
The picture on rebelscum showed the VC one with a red K-Mart exclusive sticker on it. I don't know why the sticker isn't on this one.

The one with a figure is also $10 MORE, so the figure is not a factor for me, since I can just grab a B-Wing pilot (if they have one) for LESS than $10. The quality of the actual B-Wing vehicle is my concern.

The vintage version had the ability for the pilot to actually hold onto a flight yoke I believe. The vintage version also has missiles that fire as well. Actually vintage version was also a kmart exclusive as well.
Darn, mebbe you should go with the vintage version instead.. lol im no help.

No, that's alot of help. That's the kind of details I am looking for, and I've already gotten word from others that it's the same size.

I just don't want to see something like this again

Darcnezz 08-21-2014 11:43 PM

Glad to help you with your decision. Its a great ship no matter which one you pick. :)

Falconhood 08-23-2014 03:46 PM

Thanks. I think the VC is the better one, due to so much input from several sites/forums. I can't wait for a week from now to get it.
I got it this week, and opened it today.

Sounds like a great deal.

I would've jumped on it if I hadn't finally picked up one last night at Walmart. :D

On a side note, awesome figure. Highly recommended.
