Thank you for making any custom I do look like it was done by a blind toddler. All of your sculpted hair looks better than anything Hasbro has given us, and your Emma Frost is perhaps the best custom I've ever seen!

Thank you for the kind words, if you or anybody you know is interested in getting a figure done let me know.

'Spider-Man' Swings to Marvel Studios in Major Sony Partnership - The Hollywood Reporter

It's happening!

samsson37 02-10-2015 06:43 AM

So Spiderman joins MCU...Now the question is do they shake things up and go with Miles....hmmmmmmmmm
I think it would be the best bet,we have nothing to measure Miles by..Go with Peter, its.."this actor wasnt as good as Toby or I hate him as much as garfield "etc...
Miles complete fresh start...

Yeah except for the fact that Miles is pretty horrible. If they do anything new it'll be a female spidey. In the press release they mention the future of Peter Parker. For it has to be Peter Parker. I would honestly dig if the just take the basics from the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. 2 of those characters are already going to appear in a netflix series. They could have the whole netflix lineup along with Spider-Man be the team that fills in during Infinity War. I really hope they keep Garfield. While those movies sucked I thought he was a great Parker/Spidey. With the right direction he could be amazing.

I can see it now...now introducing "Patricia Parker". The female spider-person.....

samsson37 02-10-2015 03:02 PM

lol..the reason i said miles is the whole marvel wants to diversify and get it put in the media to promote the cause...... to the casual fan...it would be like "what a black spiderman !!!!!"
i agree i would like them to take the vibe of ultimate spidey cartoon

Goldengreg 02-11-2015 04:30 AM

I'd prefer a black Peter Parker over a Miles Morales... I don't read Ultimate and I couldn't connect.

I didn't like the Amazing movies, but I loved the action scenes. Peter talking back to his aunt and being a cool teen-ager was utterly awkward, but they nailed the way he fights in the comics with all the boucings and using his web to jump around. Garfield is an ok actor, but the settings of AMZ movies sucked pretty hard to begin with.

I won't write about Raimi's since I'm the only one who hated 2 and enjoyed 3 :)

Hey, I'd take a Leopardon movie over Miles Morales!

En Sabah Nerd 02-11-2015 10:44 AM

Marvel kind of said that they would not use Andrew Garfield at all because they don't want anyone thinking that the Sony crap-verse is the same thing as the MCU. I also highly doubt the chances of Marvel choosing to use the ultimate SM cartoon as any kind of basis, since pretty much none of those characters are actually Spidey regulars. At this point the only characters I think the MCU should definitely add are Adam Warlock, because who else is gonna stop Thanos in the Infinity Gauntlet stuff, and Nova, Richard Rider (the good one) because they already established the Nova corps so it wouldn't be asking too much to incorporate him into the Guardians films as the team's resident power house.

So now Spider-Man has joined the MCU we might see Iron Spider and the proper Iron Patriot!http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1423688680

The Guardians have Groot & Drax if they need a power house.

Also, I'm happy to report that this is my hundreth post, so congrats to me and we can all go back to whatever we were doing before reading this.

ukmu 02-11-2015 02:49 PM

They made Drax really weak compared to his comic self, they could remedy that and give him a power boost, but he'd never get Richard Rider powerful. My main thing is I don't want them making the MCU Nova the Sam Alexander version, it'd be an insult to any one who was a fan of Nova for more than 3 years now.

I saw on another thread that you picked up a marvel select venom, so maybe you can answer this en Sabah. Does anyone know if the alternate smaller heads on that venom insanity backpack will fit on the 3.75" venom figures? Either on the 2 pack mac gargan "dark spiderman" or the venom from the spiderman toyline?

speaking of drax, I have noticed that none of those GOTG repacks are peg warming. I've only seen rocket a few times. Vonner released that GOTG team pack a few years too early, what a visionary... I wish hasbro would bring him back for MU and leave Dwight for the legends figures.

Kernel 02-11-2015 07:28 PM

That Venom idea sounds cool on paper, alas I have no smaller scale Venom to even test it. I was waiting for the "perfect" one to use in my Universe setup but now those chances feel slim. Looking at the little madness heads next to my Universe figures, I think they're too big for the scale. Even the smallest one still looks just a bit too much, it's bigger than Thanos' head. I know that the one stretch strike Venom was pretty bulky but I think his ball joint wouldn't work for the little heads.

At my local TRU the entire wave with the Guardians repacks is peg warming, except for Death's Head.

Kernel 02-11-2015 08:47 PM

^ That's a bummer. I have the stretch strike venom, the "dark spiderman" and the no tongue venom but all of them seem a little eh. I was excited to see that web warriors agent venom until I saw it at target today... scale is like 5 inch? One of them also had a knee mounted rocket launcher...what a brilliant idea.

Wow I did not know there was a 3.75" smoke figure... just noticed that in Primacon's pic.

There's two actually. One in the old Hasbro GI Joe-ish line and another from Jakks' line. Since that's the cyber Smoke that's either custom or from Jakks.

snake5289 02-12-2015 10:38 AM

That Smoke is from the Jazwares Cyber Ninja 3-Pack.

Believe it or not those stands are made from guttering and drain pipes! The actual stands are caps that fit into the centre of a hub cap. Happy to give more details if anyone's interested.

There was a crossover story between Marvel and Mortal Kombat where it emerged that the Lin Kuei had stolen Stark tech to make their cyber ninjas*.

*This is not true. I have a display rule whereby I only have one version of each character on a shelf, I have human Smoke as well so I thought displaying him with the armours was kind of neat.
