Help
So, a little help for a father here please
is the movie 3 and 3/4 inch line dead ? Looking briefly at the toy fair stuff looks like only Ant man is coming ou in this scale ? My boy has just recently gotten interested in this Marvel stuff and he likes the 3 and 3/4 inch size so I went back and bought a bunch of stuff in that size range from the previous marvel cinematic universe 3 and 3/4 inch lines. I was hoping to buy more in this range when the new movie comes out with the new characters and all but again it seems like this size class is dead ? There was no Guardians of the Galaxy in this size class either right ? I couldnt find anything at least |

Hit my local walmart yest. Dude there are so many legends on the shelves. New waves & old. I can't see how hasbro thinks $20 figures sell better than the 3.75"

don't worry, within the next couple years someone at Hasbro will have the brilliant epiphany to "kill" Marvel legends for a couple years, then we, the collectors of 3.75" fare may once again crawl out from the shadows and bathe in the light of flagship status again! (for a couple years. and by then the price of a 3.75" figure will probably be like 20$, and they'll be down to 7 POA.. and they'll only be one solid color... and the plastic will be so brittle figures will turn to dust when you open them.... and they'll only send one figure to every store once a year.....) but we'll still be back on top! F-YEAH!
|
Every store has dropped 3.75" within a 30min driving distance of me. At my local Walmart I have Green Goblin Wave, Guardians of the Galaxy, Winter Soldier & the new Odin Wave loaded in about 3-4 sections where all other marvel figures would be. It's all Legends, Mashers & some AOA 2".

The 3.75" is definitely on life support it seems. I mean don't get me wrong I'm glad the line still has what seems like 2 or 3 waves per year at least, but Dwight Stall, the brand manager, seems completely disinterested in it. I was listening to the Mervelicious Toys podcast (about half hour in) and Dwight just seems to rush through the 3.75" stuff. He also says something like you can do way more 6" stuff at the $20 price point than with 3.75" at the $10 price point. When Arnie asks him if $10 is still the MSRP, he responds by saying something like "I'm not sure what the MSRP is you'll have to check with another department legal" or something like that. David Vonner really championed the line, when he left quality, articulation, and selection took a huge nose dive, which is a shame cuz Dwight could have just rode his coat tails with the old bucks. |
that sucks looks like I wont be able to get my boy Ultron ,Vision, quicksilver and scarlet witch ( movie verse ) in this scale.

I hope so, because my boy just doesnt care for the other scales as they dont fit anything he has

The increase in price for 4 inch doesn't help either. |

I love that photo as well. |
As far as I can tell, the movie stuff in 3.75 is pretty much dead with a few exceptions and even then they are giving us the 5 poa stuff. However we are getting a new wave of the Infinite stuff that will include a new Beast, Thunderstrike, Sandman, Black Cat, Scarlet Spider, Emma Frost and a bunch of other stuff. Now the upcoming Ant-Man in that scale says Infinite but I am not sure if it is meant for the Legends Infinite or not. Regardless it is a 3.75 movie Ant-Man with a giant ant to ride on. I am game for that.
|
Damn straight. I can't wait to pick up that Ant-Man (and see the movie).
|
Same here. I'll pay $20 for that.
|
Yeah I was skeptical about that 3.75 Ant-Man until I saw how big the ant is. It looks so cool. It'll go great with my Super Hero Showdown Hammerhead Shark. We need more animals in this line! At least complete the Pet Avengers!
So I just got the notice that BBTS sent out my Beast wave. While I am excited, it's also right as I have just come back from the doctor plus need a new laptop. Thank Odin for tax rebate and work performance bonus. |
I want the new movie Antman not the ant. So once I get the figure that ant will be on here asap. I really hope the last AOA 2pack is Ultron & Vision. Yeah 6" peg warms all day by me. 3.75" no matter what the price does not last on shelves. My area is very scalper heavy.
So I asked in the comparison thread. Does anyone have any of the walking dead building sets? I was wondering how the look in the MU scale. A few of the prison sets would look pretty slick for a hydra base or actual prison. |
