Before I go to Ebay and get these I was hoping to spend my money here in the community.
1. Magneto (Jubilee Series)
2. Jubilee BAF
3. Blob BAF
4. Banshee
5. Quicksilver (Blob Series)
6. Cannonball (Domino 2Pak)
7. Nick Fury (Movie Version)
8. Coulson

ArsGratiaArtis 02-23-2016 08:42 PM

Dorkside Toys has implicitly confirmed the legitimacy of these lists on Fwooshn by stating the Hobgoblin UPC replaced the Shocker UPC from the rumored list.

This has been my exact reaction. Obviously I get that they have to make a Cap toy because it's his movie, but I wish the filmmakers had gone a little further to make it different if that's the case.

Doesn't anybody else think it's weird the Dr Strange wave isn't on this list?

edit: sorry Redfox. Missed an entire page by accident.

If the list is correct, I wonder what the Juggernaut will look like.
I really like my Select Juggernaut, which means Hasbro better bring their A-game. (which in my opinion, they have been doing for a while now)
Do you think Hasbro meant Movie Giant Man when they talked about "an even bigger BAF" last year? Because I was under the impression they meant the X-wave. And I don't think I would want a juggernaut that was bigger than the Hulkbuster BAF.

Also, I recall Hasbro saying "This year, there would be even more Marvel Legends!"
Thus far it's less. Which is fine by me, because I personally could barely keep up.
But do you think they just meant: "Not actually more Marvel Legends ... we're just gonna call the former Universe and Icons lines Marvel Legends now."

Hopefully, the newer Cap will have a better paintjob than the AoU does. I was really disappointed in how the colors of that figure came out, especially the whites and the flesh tone.

My Absorbing Man case revision finally came in...whoot!

Not particularly. The Strange movie isn't out til November. The latest tie in for these is Apocalypse in May. These look like Q1 and Q2 releases, Strange wave I don't expect til Q3.

Haha, I still use the super poseable Spidey that came with the gargoyle display as my main wall-crawler! I've seen plenty of custom symbiote repaints of him too, seems easy :)

???
But... if we assume the figures listed are correct, why wouldn't we assume the dates listed to be somewhat correct too?
It reads:

Giant Man - May
X-Men & Spidey - July
Civil War - December

Sure, these could be off, but December sounds very specifically not Q1 or Q2 ... right?

I think its too get ML's 6 inch into more stores,so it could be a package deal but the MLs and get different scales i have noticed here though would be nice for the UK TRU to list figures they have in store as well, came across the Ultron wave , and Thor/Odin wave.
Going to be a pain via ebay though more too look at which at some scales i don't care for.
Good marketing though

I kinda doubt Hasbro could top Select's Juggernaut beyond having more pose. In my opinion the big figure characters are much better done by Select, like Thanos for example from Select is better than Hasbro's BAF. It not only helps that the Select versions of these big characters are much better sculpted but then as a huge bonus you only have to buy the one figure and you're done, no unnecessary/unwanted purchases just to finish the legs, etc.

Agreed !! Thats the reason i just went ahead and bought the select abomination. I love the large size and the paint is superb.

warmachine6 02-24-2016 07:21 AM

For me The x-wave is a win, without a doubt i would like all the x characters apart from wolverine,
i hope he's the figure that has been not necessary for the BAF part like they have been doing this from the previous waves.
for me a wolverine figure has reached its pinnacle, and other re-paints or a simple swap-able head doesn't do it for me , Unless he gets a berserker rage headscuplt maybee
i picked my favorite suit [x-force] and got it when i could. Without a few minor tweaks here and there to get different outfits i cant see how he can be improved, maybe good paint apps i suppose i.e hair on the arms and not missing any x logos.

The X-men BAF for me could of been juggernaut or anyone else it didn't matter if this wave had a BAF or Not i would've bought the entire set.

Jmacq1 02-24-2016 07:23 AM

If it's a new Classic Juggy...that might be hard to pass off, especially if he falls between the Rhino/Absorbing Man and Hulkbuster in terms of size. I love the old Toy Biz one but he looks a little odd next to Hasbro MLs what with all the veins and extra wash and such. The Select Juggy is gorgeous, but he's a little TOO huge IMO.

So a new Hasbro Juggy could be most welcome. Though if it's "Colossernaut" then I'll probably be selling my BAF parts.

Space Venom makes sense in that he's both big and he's a Guardians of the Galaxy tie-in. Though that begs the question of "Why not wait and release him with a Guardians of the Galaxy wave next year?"

Abomination is a bit of a stretch for a Captain America wave, but I guess they needed to slot him somewhere. I'll see how he compares to the Toy Biz version.

Here's hoping next year we can get a Skurge BAF in the inevitable Thor wave. Also wonder if we may very well get multiple Guardians of the Galaxy waves given how big a hit that first movie was.

Agree! I am perfectly happy with my Select Thanos and that is a reason I have no desire to complete that BAF. I don't have the select Juggy or Abomination since I love both the TB versions, but scale wise I think they're perfect. And yeah, not having to complete all the parts is a huge win.

I really wonder if we will. Executioner/Skurge was on the polling list during SDCC last year and he was not a figure that won, so I wonder if that bodes ill for that character being made. What really irked me about that photo they used to reference him is that they had Enchantress in it to, and yet she was a complete omission in the poll. That is the biggest tease ever.

Spyne98 02-24-2016 08:52 AM

You know, we still haven't seen Angela. She won that poll. Maybe they're holding her back for that Thor wave that everyone is hoping for?

I just assumed she would be showing up in a GOTG2 wave which I would guess would be early 2017. With a few exceptions everyone in that poll seemed either Thor related or Cosmic/GOTG related

But yeah, she could easily fit in with the Thor wave given the Original Sin reveal.

Nice! I was able to nab one at retail, and he helped cause the avalanche of ML purchases that followed. Still one of my all-time faves.

As for the 'leaks,' even if these are legit, I don't think they're complete. Notice the Spider-Man and Civil War/Abomination waves, they seem a little small in terms of the figures in the wave. I know some figures get double-packed, but given the last few waves, it seems like Hasbro's moving towards 7 individual figures a wave. At least, in the past year, it's broken down thusly:

Allfather wave: 7
Hobgoblin wave: 6
Thanos wave: 6
Hulkbuster wave: 8
Ultron Prime wave: 6
Rhino wave: 7
Absorbing Man wave: 7
Red Onslaught wave: 7

I know the MCU Giant Man wave is only slated for 6 given the leak of the cardback image, but I wouldn't be surprised if they stick a few more figures into those later waves.

You forgot to include the figures that were originally supposed to be in those waves. They would now be filed under "rumored" as well...

I agree with all of your conclusions, but this is not actually "begging the question." Begging The Question is a logical fallacy in which you state the answer to the question you're asking inside of the question, in order to make it seem as though there's only one logical argument. In other words, it's like saying "why is everything you say always wrong?" etc.

What you mean is that is raises the question.

... Alright, Grammar Police aside, I'd like me a Space Knight Venom, haha :D
