Seeing that Absorbing Man makes me want a Titania, so badly! Love her in the new Illuminati series.

Jcon 02-27-2016 10:42 PM

Does anyone know how to fix Ant Mans mouth problem? A part of me wants to wait until ant man 2 to see if we get a completely covered ant man BUT at the same time, I DO like/want the mini 0.75in figures the current legends comes with.

Kirathis 02-28-2016 12:10 AM

I am not positive but aside from sculpting a new piece and cutting off any incorrect pieces I am not sure. I think a lot of people have just bought and painted shrunken head casts from the Select figure. Unfortunately I do not see any currently available from Casting Cave.

Nice job! On the paint, not the catchphrase... ;)
That just instantly puts a mental image of a damp towel in my head.
The paint though, came out really nice. Did you seal it after painting? I tend to do that to prevent damage, but it often dulls the painted effect a bit.

Me too!
Would like to see her and a new She-Hulk in a future wave.

Maybe someone can do a scaled down custom head based on the upcoming Giant-Man.

I didn't seal it, since most Tamiya paints tend to self-seal after 24 hours. I'm not anticipating a whole lot of paint rub outside of the link in his hand, but even that has actually held up pretty well to being removed and placed back into his hand and couple of times.

Yeah, my catch-phrase sucks. All I could think of was the Thing's catch phrase, and my writer's block took over, forcing me to go with that...lol

So we are finally fully caught up on Agents of Shield 4-10 today (the advantages of being sick) and overall, it was decent. I really liked the episode that featured Simmons' time on the alien world (although, it was weird that they put everyone's name in the credits when there were only a few actors in the entire episode). The next one was more of the same, Ward trying to bring back Hydra, Shield trying to stop him, something interferes. Actually, I was quite pissed off that they
killed off Banks and Ros like they were nothing. This show has no idea how to develop characters that aren't part of Shield and keep them, do they? I was so happy Ward was finally dead and then they had to bring him back possessed by an alien. WTF people? :banghead: Can't you just keep him dead? At least Powers Boothe is awesome as a villain, but I'm not a fan of them suddenly deciding that Hydra was just a variation of their occult.
Anyway, I'm all set for the second half to start on the 8th now.

We're aware of that, but things relating to Marvel do get discussed here in-between Marvel Legends talk.

I agree completely! I wasn't really impressed with Hasbro's early attempts at She-Hulk (UGH, those faces!!), but they have come a long way with their female figures since then. A She-Hulk redo would be a welcome addition in my book.

Kirathis 02-28-2016 08:26 PM

I have to agree redfox. It would be nice to see what Hasbro comes up with now that they are finally making (for the most part) really well done female figures. Particularly the highly improved work on head sculpts. I am by no means a She-Hulk fan (no dislike, just never really read anything with her in it) but I would welcome a new and improved figure all the same.

redfox 02-28-2016 08:41 PM

I think Hasbro has really found their groove with making the female figures and they are flaunting it. The improvements and updating of past ToyBiz figures: Black Cat, Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, Wasp, etc., were well needed.

I really hope this means a new Elektra and a new Black Widow in the future.

The John Byrne She-Hulk run is a lot of fun and probably pretty easy to pick up. She-Hulk was breaking the 4th wall long before Deadpool was doing it. There's one issue where she's scolding some dude, she grabs him by the ear, pulls him out of a panel and drags him across the bottom of the next page full of phony ads. It was pretty silly, but it was a lot of fun and the back issues are usually fairly inexpensive.

Dan Slott's She-Hulk run is one of my favorites too. She loses her job and gets kicked out of Avengers Mansion because she's been partying too much. She gets a job offer from a law firm that practices Superhuman Law. Old Marvel comics that were approved by the Comics Code are considered legal historic documents and can be used to show presidence in her cases. It's hilarious and smart. I think the series is available in trade, but the covers are so good that it might be better to track down each individual issue.

daetrin 02-29-2016 01:01 AM

The only She-Hulk I haven't sold from my collection is the SDCC Fantastic Four costume. I still don't think the articulation (or lack of fists) on that body works well for her, but out of the lot, I thought she was the nicest and least likely to get a redo by Hasbro.

Spyne98 02-29-2016 05:16 AM

I would like a new She Hulk too. Although, rumors are flying around that she might die in the upcoming Civil War II. Not that death should stop Hasbro from making certain characters, but you never know.
I also wish we got that Lyra figure. She was a pretty neat character, maybe Hasbro would do a swap with her and She Hulk in the future.

305Batman 02-29-2016 07:41 AM

I'd like a new Classic Hulk.

Robb 02-29-2016 03:43 PM

Like $13 which is practically a crime since they have less articulation than they used to.

With the new "Legends Series" re-branding of the line most Wal-Mart stores are stocking them again now.

Well, the Civil War Giant Man BAF wave is slowly making its way onto ebay as we speak; in a VERY over-priced type of way. I myself will wait for retail, I am still on the fence when it comes to giant man

So, what did everyone think about the high numbers of the Batman vs Superman ticket sales? :D
