There IS an undercurrent of patriarchy/objectification in comic books, but it's because the comic book industry is a microcosm of all of society, just like any media industry. Since society is currently a victim of the patriarchy and systemically objectifying of women, any portion of society will be so as well.

If you want to see what we need to do to reverse this problem, the answer is here:

The Legacy Of Pythagoras

None of those characters are actual main characters, but more like supporting characters. i don't believe there is any overweight, ugly, or old female superheroes... only old males i can think of are Currently steve rogers til he reverts young again in FCBD, THE REAL Nick Fury who last i saw was sitting on the moon and became the new watcher during Original Sin, Old man logan, Magneto.... that's about all i can think of.

Polaris is definitely a wanted character. She's been near the top of countless internet polls. She's also a member of the infamous "Ladies in Green": Enchantress, Polaris, and Rogue. (Looks like we can take Rogue off the list now.:D)

Harbinger 03-02-2016 05:04 PM

NOOOOO NO WALGREENS EXCLUSIVES ESPECIALLY FEMALE CUARACTERS ;). I would kill for a revanche figure and a new spiral, longshot, dazzler in blue jumpsuit, classic diamondback, and a caliban baf!

Crap no! Overpriced plus nuckin futs shipping? Id rather wrangle a 3 way with kathy bates and roseanne bar. ;)

Jcon 03-02-2016 06:46 PM

That Civil War wave WILL come down. I've learned from my mistakes in the past, and thus, I am ready to pick up the 2 figures I want on sight at retail (Hopefully walmart keeps their 15.83 price). Anyways, waiting impatiently is part of the fun of being a collector.... right? lol

Jcon 03-02-2016 06:49 PM

speaking on Female characters and Mutants... I would LOVE an X-23. Preferably with her striped tank-top but I'd take one regardless

Of course it will, those are just ebay japanse/chinese scalper prices. as for the prices remaining at $15.83, i have yet to see those prices for any legends around my way. could be at a reduced cost to get rid of the overflowing stock perhaps?

I was just curious if anybody was hungry enough for them to go and spend that top dollar price for them. maybe Raf did. hopefully he'll chime in and tell us lol

My walmart didnt change the tags on the pegs, but upon scanning them at the price scanner, they come out to 15.83 (give or take a couple cents). Almost makes me want to hunt down Ghost Rider and Jack O Lantern

I could definitely get behind the cropped tank top look for laura. Heanen knows we need one. Hell how about mercury and hellion as well?

The upcoming Nico Minoru figure looks like it could be a great base for an X-23 kitbash/custom.

Can you believe my luck? Went to TRU to buy my nephew a gift for his birthday and found the complete set of Captain America Civil War figures, including the Taskmaster and Demolition Man. Saw a whole bunch of Mockingbirds and Sharon Carters too. I can't find any spiderman stuff though. It's like they never existed at TRU and Target for some reason (well those in my area anyways.)

My area is doing the same thing. I've seen every figure in the Cap wave at multiple stores multiple times now but not a single figure from the Spidey wave. I think in my area it's because every store has an army of White-Tigers and Misty Knight toys completely clogging the Spidey pegs so they feel no incentive to stock the new ones.

Spyne98 03-03-2016 07:37 AM

Same with me, En Sabah Nerd. Plenty of Cap figures, no Spider-Man figures. I happened to be at a Toys R Us that was about an hour north of me and I saw one Speed Demon figure. But otherwise, no Spider-Man wave anywhere near me. I am very glad I just got the case from BBTS.

That's a great looking Moon Knight! I'm currently working on one too, but it's as he appeared in the most recent series, otherwise knows as his Mr. Knight persona.

That's got a great look.

Byrnes 03-03-2016 08:29 AM

Can't believe Walmart is sucking me back in for $15 Legends. I hate that place and haven't gone there for 6 years up until I heard they had them for cheap. I wasn't sure if I wanted the Onslaught wave at $20 a fig. $15 is to good to pass up.

To avoid paint rub you could also use a Clear Vision from the Target 3 pack :)

yea but was just using him as a filler (besides the base was an old havok custom i had brought off ebay the belt and glove cuffs seem to fit better for moon knight) til a real one is made, as i said they have all the parts to make one so im sure one will be made soon. and the vision i was thinking of using as a silver surfer maybe.
