i can see moon knight popping up in a spidey wave , i saw hobgoblin and thought its a step closer i guess with the hood and cape.
Also was thinking
do you thinking will we ever see a furry blue beast from x-men or am i better off making a custom ? I was thinking about budgeting on hasbros end with hob goblin they can re use that whole mold for a new classic green goblin where as a figure like beast couldnt be re-used unless hes a BAF or an exculsive any thoughts

Why I some what hate dropping the legends line cause it's only 2 bucks more then the 3.75 something seriously wrong here...ugh.

Don't worry, in another 2-3 years Legends will be on the backburners in the the 3.75 will be Hasbro's focus and all the rage again.

I was only a 3 3/4 inch collector when prices were around $5-8 a figure about 3 or 4 years ago. Once they hit $10 I said that's enough and moved to the 6" line. I'm glad I stopped then cause for the price 6" figures are SOOOOOOO much better looking. I can't believe those things are $13 now, forget that noise.

I could see Beast as a BAF if re-purposing is something that Hasbro must factor in. They could reuse Beast to make a Dark Beast I suppose. But I can't really think of other characters that could share most of the mold. Puma maybe?

That's why i stopped collecting the Universe figures. Between weekly comics, Legends, Transformers, G.I.Joe and Universe, I was spending waaaaaay too much. I have since sold almost all of my G.I.Joes and Universe stuff. I was going to go broke otherwise. Legends- I'm all in, but Transformers have done some characters so many times that I try to buy the best version of someone and stay there. I don't need every Megatron or Starscream that comes out.

I'm keeping my GI Joe display for now. BUT if they ever do 6" figs I'm all over those. I'm not sure why they haven't gone to that scale yet anyway. Could be a huge uplift for GI Joe doing all those characters in 6" scale.

I also kept a good amount of 5" ToyBiz stuff cause that was my first love in the early 90's.

I'm just really happy that I started collecting ML 2 years ago and now they seem stronger than ever at this point. ML has been going a long time. It feels good to be collecting something that has a strong audience.

My toy room is also filled with the old Toy Biz figures from the 90's! I love that Legends has a strong fan base. I wish JLU had gone on longer but it had a good run. I finally packed up my JLU stuff to make room for more Marvel legends.

Let me tell you these hobbies are expensive..... for me spending any where from $20-40ish a week on comics, then buying legends and other toys here and there every week. it all adds up.

I just started buying some 1/6 Game of Thrones figures. I'm also eyeing other Hot Toys stuff like Star Wars, Marvel and Sideshow GI Joe and other random lines like One:12 Star Trek. Once you pay $150-250 for a 12" figure $20 a pop for 6" figures seems like....well like toy money. :PBJ

Byrnes 03-03-2016 03:03 PM

Oh and also my stupid Walmarts still have ML for $19.99 or whatever. They didn't even have any of the new Onslaught wave. Totally painful.

Hmm yeah seems if they did the most they could get out of it is 2 figures including one variant
Looking at the bucky cap mold and spidey mold they got alot out of them so this is looking like a custom.

Heres an idea for a Dark Beast wave; nate grey in his blue and yellow outfit, aoa blink, aoa Gambit, aoa havok, aoa Syrin and aoa bishop.

Since your talking about Hot Toys, oh yea those are definitely pricey. i have to to buy any of them. i was eyeing that stealth iron man though in the blue armor. still haven't taken the leap yet.

Kirathis 03-03-2016 05:41 PM

Seems like I REALLY lucked out a few weeks back when I stumbled across the new Spidey wave while looking for the Cap wave. I should have just bought Morbius and Beetle and finished the wave but I left them on the peg. I have not seen any of the new Spidey items anywhere since.

As for Wal-Mart, I am definitely not a fan either. Sadly stopping at mine was pointless for Legends unless I want some of the peg warmers from last year.

I am REALLY glad I got out of comics again. The cost plus buying Legends was just too much. Thankfully I'm pretty much just into Legends and Naruto Figuarts and that's it. Working on getting all my Transformers and old Toybiz pre-Legends stuff ready to sell.

It's mainly 'cause his arms and legs are mismatched from his torso. Seriously, look: his arms are reused from the first Avengers Hulk, so they have a fine texture that the torso doesnt, its pretty jarring (in addition to the fact that his torso is a different color than the limbs, those it's harder to match abs and pvc plastic so that's understandable) :D but if you like him, more power to you :)

If possible, get them on a payment plan, or start scouring eBay like a hawk. Many times you can find a Hot Toys figure for decent prices pre-owned. Payment plans just make it an easier pill to swallow. I sometimes forget that my die cast Robocop cost me 300 dollars, because I never really felt the 40 dollar sting that was coming out of my bank month to month...lol.

If you don't like your Walmart, could you please send it here, cause I would REALLY like to pay only $20 for a ML figure. Even $25 would be sweet.
Y'see, the Onslaugth wave just appeared in stores here ( the 1st since the Thanos wave) & it's priced $37.85 apiece, & that's not from a scalper's, but from a regular TRU-like place.
This is getting ridiculous, specially since I paid "only" €44 for my AoU Figuarts Cap A & Iron Man...

That Black Panther unmasked head looks really, really good. Looks just like the actor.
