The whole arguement about the proper name for the figure's body should be in another thread... |

I mean, the waist joint is really just redundant on the women anyway. The diaphragm joint covers practically everything you'd use the waist joint for and more while still retaining the look of the figure, since it's practically hidden under the chesticles. |

I don't mind having to buy female figures to complete the BAF. You also have to remember that recently people have been demanding there be more toys of girls (that whole where's Black Widow/ where's Rey hashtag). I don't see Hasbro giving us a full female wave in the future but you never know. |

But I wouldn't say there have been too many Black Widow figures made. Toy Biz gave us one, Hasbro has done three (but one was in an Amazon exclusive box set). When we're getting a Cap and Iron Man in almost every wave, their numbers dwarf Black Widow. |

and btw if black widow was a more appealing character im sure more figures would of been made of her i mean marvel characters are super heroes not spies , i dont see a solo movie of her without fans demanding one , but ms marvel will get one, why? cause she has powers while if u want black widow u can go watch a james bond movie. |
I disagree. Super heroes don't all have to have powers. The thing that makes them work is they cover all different types of genres. That is what makes DC so frustrating as they have more variety than Marvel. They could easily do a Film Noir movie with Question, a Grindhouse with Spectre, a horror anthology with the House of Mystery and House of Secrets, a western with Jonah Hex, Bat Lash, El Diablo, Pow Wow Smith, etc, a horror movie with Swamp Thing, a slice of life with Animal Man, a boxing movie with Wildcat, etc. Instead, DC will only rely on Batman and Superman.

What's wrong with Black Widow getting more exposure from the movies though? She's a cool character and I'm glad she's getting some time in the spotlight. I mean, she's not the flashiest superhero, but that's kind of her appeal in the first place.
Hell, I was playing Lego Marvel with my little sister yesterday and the first thing she asked was where's Black Widow because she wanted to play as her and was so happy she was in the game, so I wouldn't exactly compare her to a "backup dancer". |

Secondly, until a few years ago, I would never have called Black Widow an A-List character. She was a back up in many books. The movies gave her more exposure which brought new popularity to her. Will she get a solo movie? Who knows. I'm sure anything is a possibility at Marvel. They're a business after all. If it can make them money, they'll use it. |

Hi, guys! Uploading my reviews soon! Got this wave the other day from a store here in Manila :)
Here's my Review of Mark 46 and some size comparison with some old Iron Man armors and Avengers figs. Marvel Legends Series Iron Man Mark 46 Review - YouTube https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1595/...bfc5356a_c.jpgMarvel's Civil War by Dominic Dimagmaliw, on Flickr |

Former Avenger Chairwoman Black Widow? On and off member since 1973? I get that you have personal preferences or might not "think" of her that often, but to state she "is" a backup character... Really, nobody forced or will force you to buy anything. Yes, BAF parts are included with figures you might not want, but even if you feel you need to have those parts, there are plenty of alternatives to get your hands on them. |

Wow what an interesting conversation I missed the last few days.
I'm going to say that despite the MCU movies and the push they've given her, Black Widow is not the first female avenger I think of. That definitely would be Scarlet Witch or Wasp for me. But I don't think BW is background Avengers/back up dancer caliber either. she's clearly earned her place as a major Avenger, even leading the team for a long period. As far as the female figures, Toy Biz never did get the face sculpts quite right, with the exception of the amazing job they did on Phoenix. But, with Hasbro, I think once they got past the first couple of waves they started really nailing those sculpts. I think the female figures are quite impressive nowadays, and don't really give a whit about if they have torso articulation or not, they have plenty of other articulation. |

And so you are saying that you would be fine if they started making all the males with that new iron man buck (with the current legs not ball jointed ones) |
Quote:
I'm not saying you have to like Black Widow, that's fine if you don't. Everyone has a right to like or dislike whomever they want. But it doesn't change the facts of the roles they have played in comic history. As for your other question, I'm not sure that an Iron Man buck would be very useful for anyone besides War Machine and other Iron-Man inspired characters (Rescue, Iron Patriot), so no. But you're talking about leg joints here that's quite a different thing to me. To me personally, as long as there's hip, shoulder, elbow, knee and neck articulation I'm good. Wrist and ankles are awesome too but everything else is really gravy to me. But that's just me. You have a different opinion and i respect that. Just like i ask you to respect that others have a different opinion rather than treat their opinion as dirt as you have been doing. |
Quote:
oh im treating other opinions as dirt now cause im the one going around and telling people they dont know how to pose their figures with the articulation? |
